::::Cheetahs:::: Super Saturday!!!!:::::::

You gals are WAY too chatty for a Saturday morning!!! :+ I love it. It's a trail run today with Jimmy and DH. Last night after a couple of glasses of wine DH kept saying how we were going to do 10 miles today. He's still in bed. We'll see. :p then it's a much needed haircut - I think I'm going a lot shorter - my hair is way too long right now.

Cathy - any time - and I've heard you talking about teaching and I know your passion for it. Don't let a few dark days make you second guess yourself. You are one heck of a teacher.

Sunny - you'll do wonderfully on your ten miler! GO SUNNY GO! It's an exciting milestone! Let us know!

Wendy - a black toenail? A badge of honor for a runner! Yes, get a pedicure - get them frequently - helps with the callus build up which actually helps your feet - and makes them less itchy! To be, it's not indulgence, but a necessity (at least that's what I tell DH!).

Carole - Yes - photos please! Glad the party was fun and your burrito delicious!!

Jess - love the photos! You're looking great, and the girls are precious.

Lori - thanks for starting the thread! I have to put my HRM right under my boobs or it does not pick up my HR. Sometimes I put somw deoderant on it to keep it from chaffing me on long runs.

Sorry if I missed anyone. DH is stirring, so I might have a long trail run ahead of me. We'll see. Carole - it's that trail we did, but we'll go on and add 3 more miles.

Hey ladies,

coming back here made my morning, hilarious comments re: "the black toenail", lol

I DID IT!!! I ran (did take one potty break) ten miles. WOOOOOOHOOOOOO! i feel great, now that it's over:eek: .

cathy- thanks for the good luck vibes, i believe it helped:)

wendy- oh no, i hope all runners don't get the nasty feet syndrome or i am quitting...lol. no worries you can keep asking. it makes it more real, first HM 12/1! so i have time to get in a few more long runs}( btw- what is the hammer nutrition website address. i may have to check it out...

carole- sounds like a fun time you and dh had last night! definitetly want to see pics of the costumes.

christine- thanks!! enjoy your 10 miler today. must be nice to run with your dh. i wish mine would run or at least do something:p

jess- nice to see you post again! you look great in your pics and your daughters are adorable:)

lori- no stitches. just had some pain in my hips after 8 miles and wanted to quit. however on the ninth mile i went numb and felt like i could have kept on running}(

BBL......

Hey cheetahs! I sure have been working out my keyboard fingers today!

Lori :: one of these days, I really want to go for a full spa day – haircut, pedi, massage, and facial (the latter of which I’ve never had), but so far, I have not brought myself to dropping that much cash in the spa at one time. I am definitely overdue for a massage!…*lol* about there being five of you on your run, though I’m sorry you had more stitches. Personally, I don’t think it’s likely to be your HRM causing the stitches. As Carole said and as far as I have always read and heard, those come from breathing.

Wendy :: let us know how you like the Heed and the Recoverite…I don’t mind running in the rain as long as it isn’t pouring too hard or isn’t too cold. On days like today, I find it really refreshing. Guess I'm still just a big kid who likes to play in puddles. :) I did miss running with my Nano, though. But I think it’s good to go without it sometimes…Re: the running shoes…I’m not sure about that. I didn't go bigger with my shoes when it happened to me, and it never re-occurred. My socks that day were a bit thicker than what I wear now. I really attributed my incident to poor choice of socks and to running for so long in the pouring rain... *lol* That did look like Jess had a bouquet in her hair.

BTW, Jess, I *love* sunflowers, too. Your wall looks really cute.

Christine :: I lost it when I read about DH wanting to run 10 miles and where is he now? Still in bed. You and Carole keep me in the good kind of stitches with your hilarious posts. Ooh, post a pic of your new ‘do, please!

Sunny :: GREAT job on your 10 mile run!! AWESOME!

Sunny - WAY TO GO ON THE 10 MILES!!! Yeah! What a mile stone! I'll bet you feel like Superwoman about right now! Great job!

Cathy - I like running in the rains, too - when it's not dark or windy. The rest is fine. :p Have fun planning lessons.

Well, DH managed to get his butt out of bed and get moving pretty soon after my post this morning. We decided to keep it at 8 miles, though (and it's a rough 8 miles - about a 2000 foot altitude gain) instead of going the entire loop because I would have missed my hair appointment. Great workout, though, and Jimmy just had a blast. He loves being out on the trails so much. Off to shower and then to get my hair done! I hope I like it!

Hi Girls.

After a longer then intended nap I got my work out done. I did 4DS LIS warm up, heavy shoulder work, core work, LIS step, cool down and stretch. I am still iffy on some of the choreo but managed to get through the entire work out with out smashing the tv in!}(

Well, gotta get ready to leave for the party now. If I have time before I leave I will come back for personals.

Have a great night otherwise!
Later Cheetah Babes!:)

ETA: Joey is going to be Elmo for Halloween. He even has an Elmo trick or treat bucket. :+

Cathy..Yes my sister took some pics and when I get them I will let you see them! No fancy costumes though. I will have to give the new BC a try as that is the only cardio I have not done. I am so with you, Mexican is by far my favorite food. We are on the same haircutting track, I got mine cut yesterday..:)..Good job with C&B and the run.

Lori...I wouldn't think the HRM would have anything to do with your stitch. If you do get some time and can read the article I posted it might give you some tips about what to do when you get the stitch.

Wendy...You are welcome. Hammer Nutrition does have some good products. I think Galloway's article mentions about socks too for the black toenails. Half a size larger than normal is very common for any running shoe. If you are not doing a lot of distance you can probably stay with your current size. Good job with the LIS workout. Have a great time at the party. I bet Joey will be a very cute Elmo...:)

Christine...enjoy the trail run with DH and Jimmy. I will have to come back there one of these days so I can add on the 3 miles...:)...glad you got in 8.

Sunny...Way to go on the 10 miles!! I bet you do feel great.

Our costumes were not really much, just the silly masks. But my sister took some pics, so I will try and get them from her! I found out a reason to start collecting the 20 min iClimbs....for the new workouts cardio add ons! had a good workout with LIS cardio, iClimb 20 min , GS standing legs (sans deadlifts and leg presses) and KPC abs.
