, cheetahs!

This morning is a long run of only 8. Will try to head out there as soon as possible. Need to wake up a little first!

Have a great day!

Good morning Cathy and all of Cheetahville!

Cathy - Yuck, you should get out there early...blech! I thought today wasn't supposed to be that bad but it's already *nasty* out there. Be careful and enjoy your short long run.

So, I was bad again and overslept a little this morning. Although, it looks like it could be an early(er) day for me so I will definitely get home and bang out that mish mosh. Hey, if I do it after work I can make it even longer...mwahahah!

Stay cool chickadees and have a great Sunday!

*Edited to change belch to blech* LOL

Posh :: enjoy sleeping in!

Unexpected change of plan here. My Garmin battery is dead.

DOH! And as Wendi noted, it's already quite *nasty* out there, so I think today I'll opt for some alternate cardio in the cool indoors & just bang out my long run tomorrow morning. All is good. :)

Hi Girls.

I had to register like a new person to get in here! When I got home last night I just HAD to check to see if the forums were up! I was THRILLED to see that they were so I went ahead and requested a new password....nothing came...time passed...I started to yawn...checked my watch....still nothing came....requested it a second time....nothing came.....went to bed for the night...got up in the morning and checked again and nothing came....requested it 2 more times....NOTHING CAME! I know for a fact that they have my email addy correct. I have gotten several emails from them in the past and when I went to re-register it said my email address was already in use. Perhaps I'll get the email later on. If I do, I'll go back to my original name. If not, I guess I have to start all over again. Oh well! *shrugs*

Have to work this morning. YUCK. Planning on a run right after work but running on very little sleep so I'm not sure how that will pan out. We got home VERY late last night-about 11:30. I put DS right to bed. He was exhausted and rightfully so. Well he ended up waking up crying several times and one time he was out of control! DH and I could not believe how he was carrying on. He was screaming, crying, kicking, throwing him self around if I wasn't holding him, etc! I wondered if perhaps he was having a nightmare and never truly woke up from it even though his eyes were open. I don't know...it was just strange and a bit scarey. :( Anywho, I had a very interrupted sleep and didn't have much time to begin with so I'm runnin' on fumes today. DEFINATELY need a nap later!;)

Let me get this novella posted and then I can some do personals!:D

Cathy: Enjoy whatever cardio you choose for today!

Wendi: I hope it's a super short day at work so you can do a LOOONG work out!

Posh: Hope DD18's B'day bash was a blast!

Wendy :: Awww, poor Joey! Sorry he was so freaked out...Hope it's a quick n' easy day at work for you followed by a restorative nap. :)

checkin out the new den

Good morning cheetahs.... my oh my .... where are we? This den is pretty nice!
I'm in the middle of a long stretch of work nites unfortunately so exploring this new forum will have to wait for a bit. I am dang tired... didn't sleep well yesterday so instead of making it a rest day I got up and ran with Grace doing Itread17. Not venturing outside today or yesterday... I'm not as brave as Cathy- it's dangerous out there!
So, today will be a rest day... unless I get up early and restless again in which case I'll do some total body weights.

Wendy- Aw--- crummy start to your day! I hope you can sort it out with your e-mail and user name! Sure hope you can grab that nap.

Wendi- If you overslept I'd say that's being good!! Give your bod what it needs!!

Cathy- Hope the weather cools at least a tad for you tomorrow!

Hi Posh!

Time for bed now!

Shelly

Good Morning Cheetah Babes!!!

Let me wake up and I will be back. I had to register as a new person too. Have a great day!!! BBL. :)

Good morning cheetahs

Cathy...I sure hope we can get some siggies back, maybe when they fix the graphic issues? Way to go with the push-ups yesterday! Is your Garmin rechargeable?? Sorry it died...Enjoy your cool indoor cardio.

Wendi...Glad you enjoyed Momma Mia. Hope you can get in that KB mish mosh later.

Wendy...some members yesterday were saying the password sent was in their spam or junk email.

Posh...How is the toe?

Shelly...sorry the weather is so nasty. This new den is rather cool...:)

Gloria...Hi there!!

Today is a 6-8 mile run depending on the smoke. And I get to try out my new shoes...:D

Have a great day...:)

Carole

Shelly :: IA, it *is* dangerous out there. I'm generally fine as long as I leave within the 5-7 am window. But I think it would have been tough today even at that hour...Exploring and adapting to the new forums will definitely take some time. :)

Carole :: oh yes, my Garmin just finished recharging now. But as I figured, it's too late to get out there now. It is already 84, and it's not even 9 o'clock yet...At the moment, images aren't enabled in our signatures, but maybe they'll change that. Thanks on the pushups. :) Hope you get some good air quality out there today. Enjoy the new kicks! I just broke in a new pair myself...love the extra spring! :)

Gloria :: Good to see ya! My password was sent to my spam, as Carole mentioned. Maybe that's what happened?

For everyone--I started a Cheetahs social group for us. Made it *invite only* just so we could enjoy the yahoos-type privacy right here. Thought it might be nice when we want to post pics but don't necessarily want them to be viewable by just anyone on the internet. If I didn't send you an invite already, please let me know!

HI Cheetahs!

Ok so this new forum will take a bit of orientating, but it is a nice rainy Sunday morning and there is fresh coffee to enjoy while reading here. Actually this new forum is very similar to the JPFitness forums.

Cathy- That stinks about the Garmin battery. But you have plan B all worked out.

Wendy- I wonder why your email did not receive the password change. How is Joey acting this morning? I am sorry he and you and DH had to endure a long frustrating night.

Hi Wendi ! Do you have the steady rain too? Today is a good day to make a nice Sunday dinner!

Thomassina- Congratulations on DD turning 18 and having a fun celebration! I hope you get enough rest today.

Or friend is still in ICU, and off the ventilator, and DH has been there with him every day. He will get an implantable defibrillator later this week.

The Makenzie Childs barn sale was a mob scene. We arrived about 75 minutes early to get in line and I am glad we did. As we walked in I found these very quirky bar stools for our kitchen counter. They are hand painted and quite unusual. If I can post a picture I will. There were 4 of them painted by the same artist. I immediately sat on them and called DH to see if he agreed with the purchase. At least 4 people came up to me to ask me if I was buying them. DSis got a beautiful rug for her dinning room too. We walked in saying we would probably only buy a candlestick or two!

Ok I have steel cuts oats on the stove that need stirring.

Good Morning again Cheetahs!

The new forum is exciting, like a new toy. I am posting personals from yesterday by memory and I had a few too many CABs last night. Bare with me.

Carole: Have a great run, I hope the smoke isn't too troublesome for you. You are right, Pip will be fine in the kennel.

Cathy: How amazing of that single mother to be so generous. Good idea to keep it inside.

Wendy: I was missing the forums, but at least I was busy yesterday. That is wierd Joey was acting like that. It was probably just a nightmare. You should post a pic of him. I bet he is a handsome little boy.

Wendi: You and your workers at the barn are wonderful people.

Christine: You were not bragging at all. Congratulations on your achievement. Ellie sleeps wherever she feels like. :) We are making sure she still feels like she is number one to us. She is so perfect that that is the reason for getting another canine friend. We decided on Pip for a name. I will be posting more pics later.

Dallas: Some people are just not into dogs. My coteacher doesn't really like them, but loves her cat. I am impressed with how well you are doing with your running.

Posh: Good to see you on the other side my friend! Sounds like a good party!

Shelly: Our new den is great. Enjoy your workouts today!

I hope I didn't miss any one. We decided on Pip for a name. Apparently it didn't have to be two syllables. My DH is always changing his mind on everything. It is his signature annoyance to me. The festival was fun, but Ellie and Pip were the stars that attracted all the people to our booth. :) We went to a friends after since their daughter was finally home from China. No workout yesterday due to being so busy and tired. Today will hopefully be something fierce. I will keep you posted. :) Have a wonderful day Cheetahs!

Gloria

"HI" Cheetahs!!!!

Morning Ladies!

Just wanted to stop by to say a quick, "Hello". I spent too much time looking around and now have to feed the little darlings. :) I'm super tired today. DH and I saw the Dark Knight last night. It was really good! When we got home about 10:30P, the phone rang, my sil was having contractions and she still has until Sept. Anyway, I didn't get to bed until 4:30A. Oh boy! The good news is that the docs stopped the contractions and I got to snuggle w/my niece. :) She's too darn cute!!!!! :D

I'll try and get back a little later. The workout plan was a little EXT, abs and another much needed stretch for these legs. lol Feeling those 12 miles today. ;-)

Have a good one Cheetahs!

~BBL

Need to figure out the smileys!

Good Morning Cheetahs! Nice to be in our new Den!

Cathy – Oh, don’t you hate it when your equipment fails on you?! Hope tomorrow is a better day for ya! And much less muggy!

Wendi – Hope the days goes quickly and you get home to your Mish Mosh!! Sorry for the muggy conditions.

Thomasina - HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO DD18!! What a milestone! How are you feeling? I cannot believe my girls are so old! :p

Wendy – you had to totally re-register? Wow! I had to get my password sent to me, but other than that, I was fine. My email came right away. Weird. Sorry DS kept you awake. That’s never fun. How was the BBQ?

Yesterday was a hike, so today is a bike ride. We did only 5 miles and my legs are killing me – I was so freaking tired from the past week. Then DH dragged me off, kicking and screaming to yet another function – a friend was having a BBQ. It was okay. The guys are fun, but the women are not. Two (they’re sisters) are so worried about what others think that they cannot relax and have a good time - the one spent the entire party glaring at her DH for having too good a time – correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t that the idea of a party? One treats her very sweet DH like he’s chopped liver (if her DD17 is studying, he is not allowed to watch TV anywhere in the house because it’s distracting – and that’s one of the minor things – he’s never home because of it). And the other spent the entire party complaining about men and saying how she have never married had she known what it was all about. I don’t know her DH, so I can’t say whether he’s a jerk, but he seemed like a nice guy. Man was I happy when I could leave. Even DH told me he felt bad for me surrounded by that pack of hens. :p I agreed to go because the host is a good guy and I wanted to support him. Today is a bike ride, cooking Kimo’s food, and nothing else. A day to relax. YEAH!!!

Oh, not sure I like the two pages. I thought I hit everyone. Guess not! Sorry about that! So round two…

Shelly – Sorry about the crummy weather and the lack of sleep. Glad you were able to get in an iTread. Sounds like you needed it. Hope work goes quickly!

Gloria – glad you’re here! Sorry you had to re-register!

Carole – Yeah, I miss my wagging doggie! :p Enjoy your long run! Yesterday was smoky. I’m considering riding indoors today. We’ll see.

Cathy – glad you did not run in that crap today. I tried adding my doggie and he came across as a URL, so I deleted him. Hopefully I can add him later. Thanks for the social group invite!

Judy – Oh great buys!! I cannot wait to see the photos! Sounds like a great time!

Gloria – I like the name Pip. Very cute! Have fun with her!

Dallas – oh I’m happy the doc managed to stop the contractions. That’s scary! Good job on the 12 miles!! My DD19 say Dark Knight Thursday night at midnight and had to be at work 9AM. Oh to be 19 again. :p

Have a great day all!

Sorry to barge into your thread but I read this thread everday for inspiration.

Anyways Wendy what you described sounds like night terrors. My oldest DD had it when she was around 2 -3 1/2 about your DS's age.

It was scary seeing her act that way and there was nothing to set it off , back then the doctors said as long as we left her safe and not wake her up she would be ok, and would go back into a peaceful sleep and it would go away on its own.

She had them on and off for awhile then it went away. Just sending you hugs as I went through it myself and even wondered at one point if my child was possessed lol but she is now a happy, healthy 18 yr old and sleeps like a log ;)
