Good morning Cheetah babes!

It's far too early to be more creative with the thread title and this has to be a quickie. I've gotta be out the door in about 15 minutes to get to work...horse show, oh joy, oh bliss *rolls eyes*.

I hope everyone had a nice holiday. DSO and I just went to dinner at the local harness racing track and were supposed to stay for the races and the fireworks but since I had to be up at 3am this morning we only stayed for dinner then watched fireworks on the tube. I would have been a zombie today otherwise lol.

Today may be a work-related rest day but I'm leaving the option of an afternoon BC with DSo this afternoon if the day doesn't get too long.

Alright, done rambling, gotta run! Have a great day ladies!

http://s228.photobucket.com/albums/ee296/runninteach/greetingsandsigns/th_mornin.gif , cheetah crew!

Carole © That's great that you had a clear day yesterday. What a hellacious hill run after that super-heavy squat work. Wow!...How was your sister's BBQ? I had a really good time at my cousin's...He is the one who's a vegetarian and was getting a lot of ribbing from others in the extended clan. Yesterday was peaceful, though. I think everybody mellows out as we get older...He had these really good veggie buffalo wings. Gotta ask him where they were from...I'm sure you are right about the hanging abs. That is something that would take me awhile to work up to.

Jackie © *lol* No, I still support the good ol' USPS. Long before the computer and internet, letters (and occasional packages!) were my lifeline with my dear fam overseas. But in terms of my online purchases, I do prefer things to ship with you-know-who. Sorry! I don't know why, but I really do like to track the package on its way. Pathetic, huh? *lol* :7...I'm glad you're enjoying your runs in the new neighborhood. What do you like about it especially? Is it more shaded? Nicer scenery?

Wendi © It's amazing how you manage to keep such a great attitude despite constantly being put upon by work. Good for you! Here's hoping you get that downtime later.

I have yoga and abs on the docket for today. BBL~~

Good morning cheetahs

Wendi...sounds like a nice 4th with DSO. I even forgot to check the TV for fireworks! Hope the horse show goes well.

Cathy...it is amazing how just a clear day can make you smile! I am feeling the squats today!! The BBQ was fun, no ribbing as we took some non-veggie salmon(the only meat I eat). My DH was being quite silly eating all this watermelon (there has been news recently about watermelon having the same effects as viagra)..The hardest thing for me with the hanging abs is my hands hanging on, but I feel I am getting stronger there. Enjoy yoga and abs.

Jackie...I could wash my car this weekend...:)..I have not gone through a car wash in ages, but they are nice and fast! That is great you are enjoying running in your new neighborhood! Good job on the 6 miles. My glutes are feeling those squats today...:)

I got to see the BIG Water Bomber in the air yesterday!! I actually felt the rumble and heard it first. Then looked up..WOW, it is so big and has been doing quite well fighting the fires.

Today is KenpoX+ and the 2nd half of abs/core as I was too tired after the run to do all of it yesterday.

Have a great day...:)

Good Morning Beautiful Cheetahs!

Cathy: Oh the Gloria song(s). . . whenever someone meets me for the first time in a casual situation I hear the numerous variations. :) It does not bother me though. I do not remember the U2 one, but I am in a bit of a fog this morning! Enjoy the yoga and abs!

Carole: That is quite the spill there lady! I have suffered nasty scrapes and bruises on my falls. Wow, I bet you are feeling that barbell this morning. :) How was the salmon?

Jackie: Too funny what you said to Cathy about USPS!!! Hope your day yesterday was nice. :)

Wendi: Thanks for getting us started!! :)

I was not a rock star last night with the CABS, but enough consumption to slow me down a wee bit. :) The firework display was very good, I have never seen our town's fireworks. It was a fun time and we stayed up waaay too late. Oh well. Yesterday I ran 6 miles and that's it. We will see about today. I will not rest as I am feeling puffy this morning. Have a great day everyone!!! BBL! :)

Cathy: You haven't heard Jim Morrison's version? There is also a remake by Vann Morrison and an 80's pop star wrote one too. Since I bear the name it is obvious that I would notice them I guess. :) There were a few at the party last night who I KNOW are hurtin' today far worse than I am. }(

Good morning Cheetahs!

I posted some pics of the house over at yahoo if you want to see them.

Wendi - Have a great horse show!! I can feel the excitement. LOL!! Glad you got to enjoy the day with SO yesterday. Sounds like a rest day is in order for you getting up so early. That may be all you have energy for when you get home.

Cathy - Do share when you find out about the veggie buffalo wings. Sound so yummy! It's easier to track packages with UPS and that's why you like it much, much better. I'm right there with you. Maybe the USPS will catch up with them one day in that aspect. Bet they would get more business too. The new neighborhood has shade, better scenery. And, I don't have to go long stretches without seeing a house and that makes me feel safer. +, I've been seeing another runner out a little after I get out there. It's just a good peaceful feeling. Make sense?

Carol - Laughing at DH eating watermelon! Did it work? Glad you feel stronger in the hanging abs area. I need to go back and find the pic of the Bomber. I can see it from home. Bet it's something to see. Enjoy KenpoX + and abs.

Gloria - Sounds like you had with the CAB and the fireworks! Ugh on the puffiness! Enjoy your workout! Ok, now I'll be singing that song all day. :)

I slept in until 7 this morning. Felt so good. Did GS BSB and CM #2. It was nice to take my time and not feel rushed. I'm glad I decided to do my run outside yesterday. It's another leisurely day for me after I do laundry.

Have a wonderful Saturday!

Jackie

Gloria ~ You know what? No, I cannot think of the Jim Morrison version. The 80s one I do remember. :) Now I have that stuck in my brain. (Love the 80s.)

Jackie ~ Love, love, love the photos. What a gorgeous home inside and out. I love what you have done with it...I do think USPS would benefit from being a little more UPS-like in that respect...Makes total sense. I have certain running routes I like, and it is getting harder for me as my mileage increases to stay on roads that I like, that are populated just enough for me to feel comfortable. Oh yeah, I get it...I'll get back with you when I get an answer on those wings.

Have had a leisurely day myself. Took a nap. Quiet day here.

Good afternoon cheetahs! Wasn't in a posting mood this morning when I got home from work, but I slept well and am ready for another round. Rest day for me:eek:  Yes, really! My holiday work nite went well and I actually got a good view of the famous Philly fireworks at the art museum.. Pretty spectacular display.

Wendi- Very long day for you getting up at 0300! Hope it went well for you... you'll sleep tonight for sure!

Cathy- Nice and easy yoga day for you! How was your fourth?

Carole- Our cheetahs with legs of STEEL!! And then a hill run after squats w/ #100!! No wonder you are a tad fatigued today.

Gloria- I hear ya about the songs with your name in it.... you are so cool that it doesn't bother you.
My real name is Michele but I go by Shelly... one of the many reasons is that I get sick of people singing that beatles song when they meet me! Sounds like you had a great traditional 4th.

Jackie- I'll head on over to Yahoo next to check out your house pics. I love it when I have the time to do a workout in full without feeling rushed! Have a great rest of your long weekend!

Elaine- How wonderful to hear from you!!! WOW, what a journey and trial you've been thru with that PF. Great to hear you are finally on the mend and back to running. Won't be long before you are up there on that mileage again. Keep us posted!!! We missed ya.

Very quiet day here!

Cathy: LOVE the music notes!!! The Door's version is a wild one as you can imagine. I love the 80s too. I was a big Madonna fan as a teen. Love Holiday and Like a Prayer. She is a little taboo, but I still like her music.

Ended up bagging DM for something easier. Did 4DS kickboxing. Having a hard time sticking to the rotation. Will move on tomorrow. I did get my new ipod. The adaptor has a little chip in it, annoying, but just cosmetic. Everything else seems to be working properly. I am having a !@*%# of a time downloading itunes though. I have all the system requirements, or I wouldn't have bought the dang thing! I have talked to a friend who also had some issues and am troubleshooting. I think I am almost getting there. For my 2nd gen. ipod I used my computer at school since we have high speed internet there. We can't get it out here, so instead of dial up we have cell phone internet. It is WAAAAY faster than dial up, but when it is sunny out, I seem to get disconnected all the time. Wierd. Off to get some things done. Take care Cheetahs!!!!! :)

Shelly ~ Glad you were able to enjoy the fireworks...Indeed, the yoga part of was nice & relaxing. Ahhh! http://s228.photobucket.com/albums/ee296/runninteach/th_icon_meditation.gif Hope you enjoyed your rest today. My 4th was good. Posted about it some to Carole ^^^.

Gloria ~ Oh, I'm glad you weren't annoyed by me singing "Gloria." So NOT what I meant to do! I just like that song from back in the day. :7 Hope you get those iTunes issues straightened out, so you can load up some songs and break in that bad boy!!! YEAH! :7 Well, if something has to be chipped, guess it's better the adapter than the iPod itself. Hey, I was in a k'boxing mood myself and also reached for the 4DS. :) I really love that workout. ETA: Forgot to say I was a Madonna fan, too. Loved the record True Blue. "Like a Prayer" was great. I still listen to a lot of the obscure & alternative 80s stuff.

Workout is done: 4DS KB (was in the mood for some kb), PUB abs, and Yoga Cond. for Athletes. Feelin' good.

Have a great night! :) :) :)
