Good morning, cheetahs!

I aimed for Providence yesterday, but I, uh, missed. http://s228.photobucket.com/albums/ee296/runninteach/th_Sheepish.gif Why, you ask? Because I decided to crack open a coupla cold ones during my work yesterday afternoon. New strategy for approaching the writing process---Lorie, I highly recommend it for your dissertation as it apparently leads to great productivity. :7 Worked til about 7:30. So, Providence is first before work this morning, so I don’t get lost in a groove.

Quiet day among the cheetahs yesterday…not many personals:

Wendy :: How was your night out?…Yeah, re: Blanchard: I was tempted by reviews on that one but hesitated to order it b/c power yoga is typically not what I’m looking for in my yoga practice.

Jackie :: I did take a few short breaks yesterday, but I found myself having a hard time tearing myself away from the work. I hope to be back in that zone today.

Have a great day, everyone! I will surely pop in again later when I need a mental break.

Hello ladies,

today i am going to do keith webers extreme kettlebell workout (my favoritest arse kicker:7 )!!

i've got a really busy day today, workout, get hair done, food shopping, start my gardening project:eek: (if the weather holds up) etc, etc. me and my boys had alot of fun yesterday!

cathy- hope you get to providence today. let me know what you think!

jackie- glad you will be okay with the dogs in your area. i have some tightness from my kung fu workout yesterday.

wendy- craig (from TT) doesn't play around:7 hope you had a fun date night.

shelly- i know what you mean about house projects. so much to do so little time esp when you would rather workout, lol.

my 7 year ds wants to run a 5k this year. he's been wanting to since last year so i told him this year we would train and he could do the 1k fun run. he says "i don't want to do no stinking 1k, i want a 5k", lol, so starting tomorrow we are hitting the track to get him prepared for his first 5k!! good for him he's already a pretty fast runner.

ok, gotta go if i am going to get in my workout today. enjoy your saturday:)

Good Morning Girls!

Cathy: Oh see, power yoga is the only kind of yoga I can handle it seems. LOL Hope you REALLY did your work out FIRST this morning cause we all know if you let it slide, you will get engulfed in NB stuff and it won't happen. Exercise is good for the mind and your mind is working serious O/T these days! Give it a break for an hour!!!!;)

Sunny: WOW, you really do have quite a day ahead of you. Very cute about your son wanting to run a 5k with you. I've seen kids running races I've done. When I was a kid I never had that much energy! I was lazy as lazy can get! LOL

So last night was nice but not what I expected. I thought we were going to be hanging out in the bar area listening to a rock band but instead it was a jazz band (UGH!) in the dining room. The music was the kind that would put me to sleep yet it was soooo freakin' loud there was no way you could FALL asleep! LOL Oh well. It was nice to meet a few more of the guys DH works with. He comes home with funny stories and it's nice to be able to put faces with names. :)

Hey Cathy! One of the guys is in his 30's cute and single!;) ;)

Okay, I'm off to grab more coffee! BBIAB!

Sunny :: that is too cute about DS7 insisting on running the full 5K. A cheetah-in-the-making, I see. :)

Wendy :: I promise Providence is first!...I'm just still loafing around a bit...I'm all about flexibility and relaxation with my yoga...I go for power yoga occasionally but probably not enough to justify another DVD in that style...I do like some jazz but don't think mellow would've been my speed, either...A cute single friend? DO tell. :7

Cathy,

I have one short and sweet "mellow" yoga work out I can handle for when I truly want to relax....I rarely use it. LOL

Mr. cute and single's name is Chris. He's in the same local as my DH-#9 Plumber/Pipefitter. I assume he's a journeyman (no longer apprentice and in school) but not positive on that count. Has good earning power. Seems like a really nice guy. He's on the shorter side with a very stocky (muscular) build. He's got alot of tattoos, atleast on his arms. I don't know about the rest of body and I guess I'm not supposed to! LOL :p

ETA: I can have DH take a picture of him with his cell phone and I can email it to ya! }(

Good morning Cheetahs!

Cathy - Laughing at how you increased your productivity yesterday. :) Whatever works right? Sounds like you got a lot done.

Sunny - What are you planting in your garden? Can you give me some tips? You must be really proud of DS wanting to run a 5K. How cute. Sounds like he's taking after his mom. Good luck with the training.

Wendy - Sorry your night didn't go as well as you wanted. I like contemporary jazz but I don't like anything that's too loud. My eardrums want to run for cover then. Trying to do some match making, huh? :)

Hello to all others!

I'm up and done with iTread #5 60 minutes. I wanted to do an easy run today. So, I averaged between a 10-11 minute mile. Kept going until I got in 6 miles. Added some stretching.

I have a busy day ahead. Going to Memphis to pick up a few more items for house.

Have a wonderful weekend! It's a nice sunny day here!

Jackie

Hi girls!

Just back to report my workout: Providence is done. Yes, Christine, I see your point about Anthony. Hubba hubba! My idea of HAWT. Maybe it's the bald head. And the bod ain't too shabby, either. }( OK, the shaved pits are a little odd, but never no mind -- great workout! Loved the triple crushes and tactical lunges. I do believe I'll be feelin' this one later. I think when I'm out to go drop off my films at the camera shop, I may have to stop and pick up another k'bell. :7

Jackie :: *lol* Yes, it apparently works for me. I think I just hit that mental block and needed to loosen up some. :) Have fun shopping in Memphis!

Wendy :: That's funny -- I dated a plumber who was also covered in tattoos. I have to say, it's not a look I love, but ya know what? I'm always down for meeting people and making new friends. No pressure. :)

Happy Saturday All!

Felt so good to sleep in! Right now Jimmy is literally sitting at my feet starting at me asif he can literally will be to feed him. His hair cut is ok – he no longer has “pants” – they are now “shorts”. (the bushy fur on his back end – I prefer Capri length, but hey, it’ll grow). Today is a trail run, shopping, nails (hopefully not too painful with my finger – it’s still a bit sore) then a 200th birthday party (4 of our friends are turning 50, so they are having a combined party). We’ve been requested to wear black and the women are wearing sari’s so I’ll get to wear one of my black sari’s.

Cathy – sounds like you’re enjoying your “politically incorrect” Spring Break. I think it should be with Easter, but many do not agree! Too funny about the WT! I love that little embarrassed smiley. But I would not do Providence after a few cold ones! Glad you got a lot done! I don't think Anthony actually shaved his pits - he's a cancer survivor and did most of these workouts while undergoing treatment. So I think it's the result of chemo. Amazing man, really. Did you enjoy it? Warning - Kettlebells are addictive.

Sunny – Oh have fun with Keith – YES he does kick the old patootie! I haven’t done him for a while! I’ll have to make sure he’s in my rotation this week. Have fun! Awwww! Sooo cute about your DS7 wanting to run a 5k! Have fun training with him!

Wendy – You’ll do fab on your race!! It’s always fun meeting work people, isn’t it? I like jazz, but if I were expecting to rock out, I’d be disappointed, too! And I do hate loud, loud music. Jazz should almost be background music. It’s not made to be played loud!

Jackie – How fun to meet your new neighbors! So, I hope all the doggies are nice! :p Good run today! It’s nice and sunny here, too. Supposed to by 75 today. Wonderful day for a hike/trail run.

Well, better go feed the doggies before they figure out how to do the mind control thing for real! Have a great day all!

*gasps* He is?? Oh my goodness! Wow! What an amazing guy! (I'd seen David Beckham with shaved pits not that long ago so I wondered if it was a new trend for some guys.) Yes, I absolutely loved the workout. I liked IC#2, too, don't me wrong (even though I find Sarah a little sing-song-y). But with hers, even though it's a good workout and gives me DOMS, I'd like it more if it didn't repeat the same cycle of moves. On the other hand, his w/out seemed to fly by. Love the countdown timer on it. I visited the AOS site but think I will hold off on Newport for a bit. I'll buy a heavier bell first and use these two workouts for a bit.

I don't

Good morning cheetahs! Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend so far. I'm dealing with some major bootie DOMS this morning. Actually they started yesterday I think from the Mint Condition workout and then I exacerbated them doing GS Legs.... yeowwww!
(But it's a good pain!;-) ) for today I'll be doing a 5-6 mile run and GS CT. Meeting up for lunch at Olive Garden today with the family. My sister and her DH are in town (the one who works for the state dept in Pakistan) So that will be nice.

Jackie- I didn't know you were vegetarian! That helps to explain why you look so young! More motivation for me;-)

Cathy- Sounds like a nice productive day for you so far! Glad the "cold ones" put you in the right mood yesterday;-) Thanks for explaining the WT thing.... the curiousity was overwhelming:p

Sunny- Too cute about your go get em DS!!! I'll look forward to hearing this race report!!

Wendy- Sorry your nite out last nite wasn't what you expected. Loud "lounge" jazz isn't my cup of tea either. So, shall we call you Yenta Ms matchmaker??? :p ;-)

Christine- Sounds like Jimmy is all set for summer with his new shorts :) That is cute about the 200th BD celebration... sounds like fun!! Hope you get in a great trail run.

Time to go get in my own workouts. Have a great one y'all!

ShellyC

Cathy - I haven't tried Newport yet. I have it on my rotation for tomorrow. Oh boy. :p I do like Firepower - it's 5 rounds - with 1 minute sets. The 1st round is one set, the 2nd round is 2 sets, and so forth until there are 5 sets in round 5. He provides options of going through the rounds once or twice with long rests or shorter ones. So it can be anywhere from 20 to 55 minutes. Great fun. Yeah - he's very impressive. I think a lot of Anthony.

Shelly - running with major Butt DOMS? You are DA WOMAN! Have fun at the Olive Garden! Seeing your sister and her DH will be nice. Enjoy your dive into vegetarinism. It's been a nice switch for the past 40 days. Just make sure you get enough fat in your diet. That was my biggest issue. :p But, I'm sure you're much smarter than I am in that regard, especially as you're mostly veggie anyway.

Good morning cheetahs

Cathy...My brows were only tender the first day. The skin was just tender and me eye were swollen in the morning. Now the area peeled and looks fine. It was a warm wax treatment and I will try the cold next time..:)...I joined you with the brewski's yesterday...:)..glad they helped you write better. Love the Ski Easter Bunny!!! Providence sounds like an interesting workout watching a hottie.

Christine...That is so sweet your neighbors remembered Tucker...I can't believe it has been a whole year..{{{HUGS}}}..My brows are not real light but not dark either. I always hated plucking them and now if I continue waxing that will take care of the stragglers. The crock-pots are much cheaper at Walmart...:D. Sounds like you really enjoyed Rock Steady Step! Jimmy sounds like he got a nice grooming...have a nice trail run with him. That 200th B-Day party is a great idea!

Sunny...so did you and the your boys get the eggs painted? Enjoy your kettlebell workout. That is cool your 7 yr old wants to do a 5K!!

Wendy...good job with the 8 miles yesterday. That's funny, my DH always seem to nap on his days off too. I think I like some jazz, but not all. Sorry the band wasn't very good! So you found a cutie for Cathy??...:D

Jackie...I had always wanted to try waxing. I will let you know how the cold wax is different when I do that next time. I ran Wednesday and feel so much more comfortable going back to my former running style. My knee is still a bit tweaky, but hopefully it will get better only running 2 days a week instead of 3. GS BSB is a long one, but I love the GS series. Good workout yesterday. Sounds like a nice 6 mile run today. Have fun in Memphis.

Shelly...way to go with 7 miles at that pace!! Then you did Mint Cond???...wow....Glad DH chased off the coyote. So what cookbooks did you order? Yes, amazing what we do for beauty!! The waxed area is peeling today...:)...Enjoy that run with the bootie DOMS! I hope you have a nice lunch with your family.

I ended up dong LIC using my EXT for the cardio yesterday. So today will be some sort of mish-mosh of legs and kickboxing.

Hey everyone!

Cathy – I hope you are enjoying your spring break and continue to have a good one! It sounds like you got a lot done on your work!
I ordered AOS Providence a couple of days ago after Christine’s and a couple of other recommendations. Can’t wait to get it! Glad you liked it!

Carole – You inspired me to do CTX the other day! I did CTX Upper Body split on Thursday! I was hoping for DOMS in my biceps like you, but I didn’t get it :<( But…I did get a great DOMS in the front of my shoulders! :>) Enjoy your workout today and good job on LIC and EXT cardio!

Christine – That is cute about Jimmy sitting there “willing you to get up” and feed him!! I’ll bet he looks adorable with his haircut! I’ll bet he looks cute in shorts! ;>)
Like I mentioned to Cathy – I did order AOS Providence the other day! You guys will have to stay after me to do it! Enjoy the BD party!

Wendy – Which Mark Blanchard did you get? I have the Sedonia Series and his Trilogy. Don’t ask me why, though….I only did them all once :<( DH got them for me for my BD a couple of years ago. I begged for them. Hmph! Sorry last night’s music wasn’t that great!

Sunny – that is so cute that your DS wants to run a 5k! That is awesome! Enjoy the Extreme KB workout. Okay…where do you get that one? Enjoy your day!!!

Jackie – Good job on your iTread #5! Enjoy your shopping for the house! Glad you have some good weather!

Shelly – Ouch! That sounds like quite a lower body duo workout! Enjoy your lunch with your family and your workout!

Thursday I did CTX UBS and ran 5 miles. I took yesterday off and today was a 6 miler and L&G.

Tonight my DS, BIL and stepmom are taking me to dinner for my birthday (belated birthday) since I was out of town on the actual BD. Anyway….

Hi to everyone that checks in or that I may have missed! Happy Easter!

Linda

linda- enjoy your bday celebration!! the workout is by keith webber and i got it from www.dragondoor.com. it is on the less expensive side (for a kb workout) but a real goodie!!

jackie- ha, i wish i could give you some tips. i am in the learning stage myself. when we first moved here 3.5 years ago i killed everything i planted:eek: . last year i did much, much better. so for me it's a real learning process, however i do enjoy it.

shelly- i will definitely report his race. i am thinking one in june would be good for him.

don't think i will get any gardening done today. it is too windy. however i will go to the local nursery's and check out what they have so i know what i will get when i am ready.

ttyl...:)

Sunny - Oooo! That looks good! I am going to get that one! Thanks!

Cathy - It was Keith Weber's Extreme KB workout. :)
