Hey remaining Cheetahs!

Have y'all seen Retro's pics she downloaded from the Meet n Greet yet? Go check it out! The thread is in O/D!:) Cathe looks absolutely stunning as usual. The entire crew looks fab and everyone looks sooooo happy and like they are having a great time!:+

Today's work out is a 5 mile run or walk/run (not sure which yet) in the park with my friend. I think I am going to suggest we run it all because we are familiar with this distance and know that we can do it.

Hope everyone is doing well...I hope to get back here before I leave to head down to meet Cathy and the RT'ers!

Toodles!:)

Good morning cheetahs,

wendy- i will have to go check out the pics! enjoy your run today. i've gotten to the point i have to run with someone on long runs or it just won't get done. have fun hanging with all the RT'ers!! do you know if you can purchase xflowsion dvd's separately?

shelly- thanks for posting the pic. all of you are so lovely. i am sad i had to miss the opportunity to meet all of you.

carole- so glad you made it safely!!

cathy- enjoy your precious time eating cheesecake with our fellow catheites and cheetahs, lol.

today's workout is ME/plus practicing in the pool (won't call it a swim, lol).

Hey girls! :) :) :)

You'll be proud of me...I slept in today. To, like, 7:30. Woo. Livin' on the edge. *lol* My best friend (whom I haven't seen much of this summer) and I rocked out last night! Had fun. But don't know that I feel up to my run this morning. Will see.

Wendy :: I did check out those pics and agree Cathe & crew look gorgeous. It's nice, too, to be able to put some names with faces. Belinda's daughter looks like a model. And I *LOVE* the workout blender and upcoming projects. Can't wait for that! iTrain, schmiTrain, right?

Sunny :: *lol* about "practicing in the pool." I took swim lessons as an adult, and like anything else, I think it would have been much easier to learn as a kid. If I had children, I would definitely nudge them toward involvement in swimming. It's such an excellent workout...*lol* about the cheesecake...I could've HOUSED that slice myself. Easily. The cheetahs are a good influence b/c I try to be on good behavior around them. :D

Amy :: are you wiped out after 10.5 hours? That's a long day.

All right, everyone ~ have a great day...I'll BBL

Good morning Cheetahs!

Wendy - I'll have to check out some more of the iSculpts with Grace. I didn't particularly care for Mimi. Will have to check out the RT pics. How was your run?

Cathy - I'm glad Carole finally made it. Glad you girs are having fun. Glad you got to sleep in. Bet it was nice spending time with your friend. Did you run?

Sunny - Have fun practicing your swim technique.

I ran 5 miles this morning. The temp was about 72 and the humidity was lower. It was really pleasant compared to the past mornings. Got close to the turn around point of my run and saw this big doberman. Turned around and started back. I was glad I saw him before he saw me. He barked but didn't come after me. He looked more like a guard dog that had gotten loose. I was in a business area. First time I've ever seen him. Anyway, glad I didn't have a problem. Came back and did Cathe basic stretch.

I have a fashion show to be at by 11:30. Will talk to you later.

Enjoy your Saturday!

Jackie

Hi Ladies.

My run is done. I had planned on running it straight through but my friend wanted to do the walk/run because she wanted to see how she felt compared to running it straight. After completing the 5 miles she said she felt really good. She liked the walk/run concept for the half so I am hoping she will see it through with me. We ended up doing 5 min run/1 min walk. We finished 5 miles in 59 minutes. As the mileage gets higher we will probably adjust the walk/run split. We'll have to play with it and see what we are comfortable with. Should be interesting.

I just had a snack and now I have to give my son a snack and then straighten up my house and get a shower. The last thing on my list is to finish packing. I'm getting more excited by the minute about heading in a few hours!!!:+ YIKES, it would help if I printed out some directions!:p

I'll try to stop back before I leave!
Ciao for now!:7

Hello Cheetahs!

I got up at 6:30AM for that workout and said NO WAY.

I am now up at 10:30AM. I guess my body needed that rest and sleep!

The 10 hour workday yesterday Cathy was managable, thanks! The money is good, and I love the kids. But boy is it tiring!

Girls you had a great workout today - I see those 5 mile runs! ha! Good for you! :)

Today is my rest day. I am going to get a pedi with my girlfriend in one hour. I am treating her for her 30th b-day!

Tomorrow AM - I will be up! Working out to Cathe! :) At home that is! ha!

Cathy - glad you went out with an old pal last night! Good for you!
When do you meet up with Wendy? Is that tonight?

Have a blast all RT Cheetahs out there! :) We miss you!

Take care all,
Amy

Hey Ladies:) Got back from a fabulous vacation yesterday. We rented a cottage for a week and mastered the art of chillaxin' :) Ate too much, canoed, cycled and hiked but no planned workouts. I put on a few pounds but what the he!!, weeks like that give me lots to day dream about in the winter:) Today I got right back to it with B-Max2 as produced....nice little workout}(

Hope everything comes together for all you road trippin' Cheetahs!! Love the pictures I've seen so far. Hope Carole is where she wants to be now! Have so much fun Shelly (love your pics...you Ham!:7 ), Susan (you look awesome!) and Gayle (so fit and healthy looking!!). Spare us none of the details! We want to hear it all!!

Take Care
Laurie:)

Hi Gals.

I'm back for personals already. I guess nothing keeps me away from these forums for too long, huh? I always manage to sneak back at some point!:p :7

Sunny: I do not know if the Xflowsion work outs can be purchased separately or not. I would be interested in the answer to that question as well!

Cathy: WHOA, 7:30! You go girl! LOL Don't worry. For me, 8am is sleeping waaay in as well! I used to get up around 8 on weekends regularly before having Joey. Now that's when I get up if I am sleeping late!:)

Jackie: How scarey about the dog. That is my biggest fear when it comes to running in neighborhoods. YIKES!

Amy: Cathy and I are set to meet up at some point this afternoon. The time isn't set in stone. It kind of depends on when I am ready to leave and when she will be available as well. We both are easy going though so I am sure how it works out will be fine for both of us. I'm so excited!!!!:+

Okay...time for a shower and then packing!

Toodles!

Hi

Wendy- The walk/ run method is interesting. On runs where I strictly try to keep my HR in 75% max I have to walk for brief intervals. I find I am not sore at all even after an 8 mile run this way. But after reading Runner's World this month I see that there is an argument for speed work and tempo work. If I were a racing girl I would be so confused after the reading I have done!

Cathy- We all need to sleep in once in a while.

Jackie- Re: the dog- I would have turned right around too! On my long run on Monday I was on the Erie canal path and a runner coming towards me warned me of a large snake in the path. I turned right around and finished my distance in the opposite direction

Laurie- Welcome back!

HI Sunny and Amy !

This morning was a 3mile easyish run followed by Core Max#1. Now I need to shower and meet my DH's cousins at the mall.

DH's extended family is in town for his parents' 50th wedding anniversary party, tonight. My DD got stuck in NY last night. Every flight out of Laguardia Airport was canceled or hopelessly delayed. She is now arriving at 4:30pm. My DS will pick her up at the airport and take her straight to the party. At least we have her dress and shoes all ready for her. She'll have to change at the restaurant though.

This morning I was preppping some food for a brunch here tomorrow. I made two casseroles of Fresh Cinnamon Peach French Toast. They are made a day ahead and baked in the morning.

PS- We got a magic bullet for smoothies and it is so convenient! Jeez I am rambling today....

hello again ladies,

cathy- i think we would have alot of fun eating together. i love cheesecake factory! yea, i have both of my boys in swim lessons. i want them to learn now while they are young. for them it's fun, for me it's work. lol

wendy- have you left yet, lol. if you find anything out re:xflowsion please keep me posted.

jackie- great run! i hate seeing dogs esp. big dogs when i am out. i am so afraid as i've been bitten by a dog when i was 5 yrs. old:(

laurie- welcome back!! i must have missed your announcement re: vacation. i was wondering about you. glad you had a great time. and love your new word "chilaxin'", lol

well inspired by jackie:D (thanks for the idea!!) i switched up my workout. i did the iscuplt1 bodyworks, and in between the legs and core workout i did a 20 min iclimb workout on my eliptical. loved it!! the iclimb was a big hill so it was esp. tough right after working my legs and glutes.

ttyl...:)

ETA: judy- you snuck in while i was posting. can i come over for brunch:7 sounds so yummy!:9

Good morning Cheetahs! My day began early this morning at 5:00 a.m. DS & DD both woke up at the same time and I could not convince them to go back to bed. DH called yesterday afternoon. He was going to drive the 7 hours back home and get back by 4 a.m., but what is the point when he would be exhausted and the kids would be getting up in a few short hours. It is hard to keep them quiet at that point. I told him to leave this morning so he would be well rested. Today I think will be a run, maybe 5 miles. However, that might change because I'm pretty exhausted from this past week and DH probably won't get home until around dinner time. I'm contemplating running a 5K race at 8:30 p.m. today, but with me being tired so early in the day then maybe it is not such a good idea. I'll make a decision when the time comes.

Wendy & Cathy - Have fun with the other RTers! I'm jealous.

Laurie - Glad to hear you had a relaxing vacation! The whole point of vacation is to eat too much and do whatever you want. A weight gain of a couple pounds is nothing as long as you had a terrific time. It makes vacation something to look forward too.

Hi to Judy, SunnyD, Amy, Jackie, and the others who may check-in. Have a great day!

Hi cheetahs~

Nope, haven’t moved as of yet. But I may get my second wind in the afternoon. It’s sunny out there but gorgeous – not this insane humidity, so the weather would be agreeable for an early afternoon run. But it's a MAYBE. I am feelin' rather tired. So perhaps it'll just be an unplanned rest day…not the end of the world.

Jackie :: yikes on the Doberman encounter! Glad he stayed put!!!

Amy :: *lol* about getting up at 6:30 am and saying NO WAY to the workout…enjoy your pedi & time with your girlfriend ~ sounds fun!…Yes, Wendy & I meet up later today/tonight.

Laurie :: welcome back!! You were missed. Glad you let loose and enjoyed your getaway at the cottage…I think you’ve got the right vacation attitude!

Wendy :: I know what you mean…I have a tendency to sneak back here, too – sometimes if I’m doing a lot of work on the computer, it gives me a welcome break in little spurts…Absolutely ~ anytime is fine.

Judy :: now seeing a snake on a run just might be more terrifying to me than a dog! I hate those things…love my Magic Bullet, too…Your Cinnamon Peach French Toast casserole sounds FAB – would you be willing to post the recipe?…enjoy the party tonight!

Sunny :: great workout doing hills right after working the legs so hard…I’m with you, I’m afraid of dogs also…Pick me up on your way to Judy’s, please.

Kristi :: you could always do tonight’s 5K and treat it as a regular training run…Hope you’re able to catch up on your rest again with DH home.

Hello again Cheetahs!

Wendy - I don't stay away too long from my Cheetah pals either! ha ha! Have fun tonight! Have a good drink for me! DH and I are going over to a couple's house that we are very close with - to get pizzas and relax. They have a 2 month old baby girl, which we love, but I do not see any drinking involved here!

Cathy - Glad you are relaxing today - a little hung over are we? ha ha! Enjoy that relaxing though, we all need it sometimes. We work hard! :)

Laurie - glad you are back safe and sound and you had a great vaca!

Judy - Have a great time with the fam this weekend! Seeing a snake on the run would have freaked me out too! yuck! Animals like this I don't care to see when I am out and about exercising!

Sunny - I see a lot of dogs on my running workouts too and I don't care for this. I wonder if they are going to chase me and think we are playing a game. Most of the time they don't even notice me! Thank goodness!

Kristi - Enjoy your time with DH now that he is coming home!

My pedi was wonderful today, pink polish of course! Then we had a delicious lunch at Panera Bread. I chipped a toe coming into my condo! Oh well! Always do this! I will have to fix it! :)

Have a good day everyone!
Amy
