::: CHEETAHS ::: nothin' better! TGIF

Jackie: Yes, my half is a week from this Sunday which makes not working out even more maddening! The longer I do not work out for the more motivation I lose to start again. As each day passes my motivation to run the half lessens. I am the type who has to keep moving or I won't move at all. This is the primary reason that I work out 6 days per week. I would love to only work out 4-5 days a week and am pretty sure at this point that I would not lose any progress by doing so but I am petrified to lose my motivation so I've never cut back. x(

Good Afternoon Ladies.

Today has been a big joke. I don't feel well and it seems my son is pushing every imaginable button I have! I am at my wits end with him and just want to crawl in a hole and stay there until the morning. I can't even work out once DH gets home to help relieve the stress since I blew off the wedding. DH will get upset and think I faked sick to not have to go! I guess I couldn't blame him though as he knows the only reason I was going at all was for him. Oh well.

Sorry to complain so much but I am just having a REALLY bad day. ;(

Hello again, fabulous cheetah babes!

I think I am bagging tonight’s workout and will simply double up tomorrow as I did yesterday. No harm there, methinks. This is a night for curling up on the couch with the some magazines. Picked up the new RW, Hers Muscle & Fitness (never read that one before), and a couple of trash tabloids for some mindless entertainment.

Sunny :: The only extreme dryness I had was my lips, and for that, I lived on the Aquaphor. Once in awhile, my contact lenses would get a bit dry, so I also used eye drops occasionally. My derm recommended Cetaphil cleanser and moisturizer. I didn’t like the cleanser, but I did use the moisturizer. Eventually, I switched back to Nivea, though.

Judy :: ooh, I love black and white! Classic!…DS’s workout sounds TOUGH! I haven’t strapped on a pair of ice skates in years. I would probably hurt myself. Keep saying I want to do the whole cliché of skating in Rockefeller Center some year, but when I get up there, I see the crowds and lines and just flee. :) AWESOME job on your 10-miler!!

Lorie :: wow! No DOMS? How’s your stomach?

Wendy :: (((HUGS)))) Sorry you’re not feeling well and not having a good day overall. Feeling bad about backing out on DH’s family but not feeling bad about missing the wedding makes total sense to me. You have a good excuse, though. Milk it, girl. :) *lol* about wanting to rip out your eyeballs during ABA…Now THAT’S a colorful expression I haven’t heard before. :)

Amy :: glad you are making the most of your new membership.

Jackie :: that’ll be a fun getaway. Planning to do anything special?… Lookin’ fiiine, lookin’ strong in those pics. And is that you in the head shots? OMG, you are a stunningly gorgeous cheetah!

Carole :: I will shoot my sis an email and get back with you on that…She isn’t called “Martha” for nothin’…:) So was it raining for your run today?

Shelly :: thanks for the encouragement. I think BM2 is one I will have to learn through post-workout add-ons. I worked up a good sweat even though I was doing a lot of it wrong, but I think that’d be a good way to tackle the more complicated routines. Master it in small spurts. :) I have not listened to the weather, but I will definitely be running Saturday and Sunday regardless. Can’t wait! LOVE fall running! And I enjoy being out there in a light rain, too. …CABs are cold adult beverages. It seemed to capture the spirit of a group of us gals who like to work hard but kick back occasionally, too.

Christine :: being in a big, comfy chair with a good book on a rainy day sounds like the perfect place to be…I have gotten hooked on that BSN Lean Dessert (there were some recent raves about it on the open discussion forum). Good stuff!! Wait! Jimmy has PANTS? Capri pants?? Pics, please!! :)

Have a great night, all!

Judy – WAY TO GO!!! YOU ROCK!!!

Wendy – so sorry about the lousy day! I hope it gets better!!! {{{HUGS}}} But you’re right to skip the wedding. No point in getting the other guests (or heaven forbid the bride and groom) sick!

Jackie – no, I don’t really have a goal time in mind. I just want to finish and be able to walk the next day. :+ I’m a SLOW Cheetah, but that’s okay with me.

Cathy – I refer to the long, bushy hair on Jimmy’s rump as his “pants” (a friend of mine with a female Aussie refers to them as her “bustles”). He got trimmed so his pants are much shorter – more like capris… Actually, now that he’s been out in the rain, making him “poof” and crimp, he looks as if he’s wearing pantaloons. You can kind of see what I mean in this photo, but he was still young – his “pants” have filled out since then. If you go to Carola’s picture trail, there’s a great shot of Iceman’s “pants”
