Good morning, cheetahs! :)

It's already Nov. 1st, so I think I better step it up with our holiday card and/or gift exchange. Two people have PM'd me already.

For anyone interested in exchanging holiday cards, please PM me. If you participated last year, I still have your address, but just PM that you do want to participate again. Since we have some folks who don't stop around anymore (and quite a few new members), I don't want to assume anything. :) After I compile the list of names and addresses, I will send them via PM to everyone who's participating this time around.

For those interested in the gift exchange, it was proposed that our price limit be $20-25 with shipping add'l. We are going to have a mail by Dec. 5th deadline. (ETA: To make the shopping easier, we'll each make a list of 3 wish list items, whether fitness-related or not, within the limit range.) We haven't yet decided if we want to open our gifts at a designated time all at once but can talk more about that. If you are interested in the gift exchange, send me a PM with your mailing address *and* your email address. I am going to ask that you post your list of 3 wishes to the thread (maybe we can do that this coming weekend) since I am going to have someone help me draw names and email everyone, and this will reduce the amount of typing/work she'll have to do.

Christine :: thanks!! The kids thought it was a riot. I enjoy Halloween, too. Loved DD14 and her friends' idea to go as reindeer doing x-mas carols. Clever!

I zonked out last night before yoga ever happened. Slept like a rock. This afternoon will be 4DS bi's & tri's, a run, and abs.

Tell the truth...how many treats did you all eat last night??? I picked and picked, till I could pick no more! Ugh!

I didn't get a chance to check back in yesterday b/c when I looked DH was taking DD's computer with him. The fan is gone on it and it needs to be tuned up a little, so I probably won't be able to check back in until tonight again.
Yesterday I did a longer run. 10.5 miles (17.6 kms) in 1 hour and 41 mins. I didn't get that dreaded stitch till closer to the end! I can manage that. Im not sure what todays workout will be. My mom is comming in for the day and I know she will want to go shopping. We will see what happens. It looks like its going to be a nice day but I don't think I should run after what I ran yesterday.

Cathy** I can do which ever but I think shipping to Canada may be a little costly for whom ever gets my name! LOL

Good morning cheetahs! Well, yesterday I ended up sleeping all day and didn't get in a workout:eek: I guess my body needed it so I'm not stressing over it :7 Hope everyone had a great Halloween!

Lori- Sounds like that stitch is getting under control:7 Hope you have a nice time with your Mom today.

Gotta get busy here. After work I go for my yearly eval but that shouldn't take long. Today will be the 4DS legs I didn't get to yesterday and then Mindy's Kick Butt Bootcamp later. Tomorrow is my long run... 18 miles :7

I never got back here last night. We were out later then expected so by the time I sat down at the pc I just didn't feel like posting. I read the posts though. Doesn't that count? ;)

Judy: Sorry about DH having a cold during his board exam.

Christine: I checked out Cathe's rotation and it was just as I suspected but I may follow it with the exception of the cardio. I will just add in cardio as I want to. I won't start it until Monday though if I do it so I have some time to play with it and make a decision. Will you be doing it?

Carole: Hope you had a good work out y'day. My order from Hammer Nutrition has been shipped!}(

Sunny: How was the Halloween party? Have pics of your little guys dressed up? I just downloaded my Elmo on to my computer but I still have to upload it to my photobucket account.

Today will be a run. It should feel really good.

I have lots of DOMS right now. None of it is really intense. It's just a general achey muscle feeling. 4DS is kickin my butt. I LOVE IT! }( My legs even STILL hurt!

Good Morning Cheetahs!

Today is a yoga day for me and I need it! I’m pretty tight – especially in the calves. I think I’m going to do Yoga for Flexibility – it’s a nice, short stretch. Last night was weird – we got some kids, but not as many as we usually do. And when we got them (all the way to 9PM!) they were in groups of 10 or more! Oh well, at least the came and had fun.

Cathy – I PM’d you. Ended up DD went out with her boyfriend instead. Her other friend lives about ½ an hour away – and DD has a chemistry test today, so she did not want to be out too late. She makes me proud sometimes – using good judgment!

Sunny – Enjoy your rest day – and I love your attitude. What did the boys dress as yesterday?

Lori – oh, way too many treats! That’s why I’m happy about the No Sweets Challenge today! I’m sooo in! Good job on your runs!

Shelly – Ever our Shelly needs a rest day! Enjoy 4DS Legs and your KB workout! Yeah, Jimmy is pretty expressive anyway – his expressions during 4DBC are priceless. I need a camera.

Wendy – I’m going to stick to my rotation as I have it for the next week at least. Then I’ll probably play around with the premixes. I like more cardio. I’m finding I’m doing well with the weights, though, too. I’m toying with the idea of a P90X rotation in January. We’ll see. I love the weight work in 4DS, too! I am not really sore in any one spot, like you – just feeling it in different areas – like the triceps! Oh, I thought of you when I saw this – enjoy!:

Cathy...My running sister Karen and I have always liked Roller Coasters. I think the one on Stratosphere might be more like the Death Drop one which I don't care a lot for, but who knows. Isn't there one on the East Coast that goes way up almost over the ocean like 250Ft before going into the fast coasting ride? I think I have seen it on TV. Karen has been skydiving but not me! I am not really afraid of heights. OMG!!! I LOVE your Halloween outfit...and the pics were great! Enjoy Bi's, tri's and a run later.

Lori..to tell the truth, I had one mini Snickers bar last night...:)..Good job on 10.5 miles yesterday. Have fun shopping with your Mom.

Shelly...I think your body needed and enjoyed the rest! KB was fun, I did a short Amy premix and then added on Cathe's. I liked it. Amy also has some nice premixes in her workouts. Enjoy your leg and Mindy workout.

Christine...so glad Jimmy enjoys watching you do BC!! I like this B&C workout too and even went a bit heavier...I liked your BOO graphic. How did the Caroling reindeer's fare last night? Enjoy your Yoga workout..love the cat pic. I feel just like that in the morning!!

Sunny...NO, I have not gotten my new Amy workouts yet, probably cuz I am in Calif it might take awhile. How was the Halloween party?

Wendy...I did that same arm workout last mon, I had some nice DOMS from it. I had a good workout with B&C yesterday. I am just a bit under Cathe's weight load. I do the pullovers a bit heavier.

I am planning on Amy's APX leg workout, abs and a 4-5 mile run. I might even have time for a short Yoga or Pilates.

Carole: I go a bit heavier on the DB pullovers in 4DS C&B too. Enjoy your Amy work out and run today. Enjoy your yoga/pilates if you do it today. Tmrw is going to be a yoga day for me I think. I need it!

Well, I did a 5 mile work out from w/u to c/d today. I did a super duper extended mile long walk/run warm up which I normally don't do. It took so long cause I couldn't find the Itread I had wanted to do (sprints). I ended up opting for set 10/30 min. I went about 3 miles with that and then added on another .50 to make it a 3.5 mile work out and then did about a .50 mile cool down.

I'm exhausted now after 2 days of super intense lifting and my run today. Tomorrow will be a yoga day for me!:) I want to go for a run in the park this weekend. I will take a complete rest day on the day I don't run-either saturday or sunday.

Off to do some housework or I might just fall asleep!:p

Hi !

It looks like we all survived yesterdays treats. Amazingly I had no candy. WTH? Actually we ordered from Bonefish Grill for Dh's birthday dinner and before I knew it I ate all my tuna. We were talking, and answering the door, and keeping the kitties inside, and I forgot to not eat it all :eek: . We did have chocolate cake, but the cake was only 5" in diameter and it made 5 little pieces with no leftovers.

Today in the interest of staying on track, I did 4DS HIS and 2" jumping rope and 400 jumping jacks. (Jacks do not irritate my hip, which is feeling better with only 1 run this week so far)

This afternoon we fly to Chicago and tomorrow the fun begins with tournament. It is sponsored by Nike Bauer, and literally has thousands of hockey players in it. Only 20 hours 14 minutes until the first puck is dropped! Here is the site :

Shelly- We had a good amount of kids at the door, but of course I bought way too much candy. It is going in the freezer.

Christine- You have done a good job with DD. My DD (16 stayed home too) She had way too much homework. DS ,on the other hand, was out with his pack of buddies.

Sorry to be short, but I have to finish up some last minute packing and shower. Then we are off to pick up DS and his team mate who is flying with us.

So I've created a faux X rotation using the 4DS weight work that I am considering following for the month of November as a warm up for beginning the "real thing" in December. It's going to mean doing the 90 min killer shoulder/bi/tri work out I did y'day one time per week but I can handle it, right? }(

Here's what I've come up with. All feedback is welcome!:)

M: Chest and Back
T: Yoga
W: Shoulders and Arms
R: Cardio of choice
F: Legs and Back (will insert various pull/chinups into leg routine here)
S: Run
S: Rest

I put the yoga day in a different spot that suited this month's work schedule better then doing it on Thursdays. I may switch around the S/S run and rest days depending on what I have planned over the upcoming weekends.

Anyone care to join me? }(

Carole – not sure if Jimmy enjoys watching me do BC or if he’s watching to see if he should head for the hills. LOL. It is funny. I love roller coasters, too – but not the newer twisty-turny-things that are more likely to get me motion sick than enjoy the ride. I love the ones with a really long initial drop. Those are a blast. But, you’ll never get me bungee jumpy and you’ll never get me on something like “Drop Zone” and I see no reason to jump out of a perfectly good aircraft… :+

I ended up doing Yogilates 2 this morning. It was a nice quiet stretch. I enjoyed it a lot. No sweets today – I’m doing the challenge. I’m taking our new hire out to lunch at the Elephant Bar. They have lots of food that is healthy.

Grrr...I just got Amy Bento's Slo Mo Strength Challenge in the mail today! I am, ofcourse, now going to be chomping at the bit to try it and I just created a November rotation for myself!x( I can't start the X with out TRYING this new set so I will be taking one week of my rotation and plugging Amy's weight work in instead of doing the 4DS stuff. I will probably also just do it as produced which means the body part groupings will be slightly different but the idea will remain the same. Now who here can tell me that they wouldn't do the SAME EXACT THING! If you tell me you wouldn't then you are nothin' but a big fibber!:p :7 :+

So I previewed the leg work out and part of the back and shoulder work out. Interesting stuff. She does exercises I've never seen before and that's a good thing. New moves create new challenges and more fun!}(

Part of my w/o is done ~ put in 3 miles before the sun set…in a little bit, I’ll tackle Squeeze abs and then hit bi’s & tri’s. Am definitely paying the price for gorging on candy. Had a good ol’ bellyache every step o’ the way. That’ll teach me. *lol*

Christine :: cracked up at the kitty you posted to Wendy…love those!

Carole :: there are two rides at the top of Stratosphere (at least there *were*)…one is a bungee-type ride…the other is the one I went on…it’s just a flat concourse that circles the tower. I did not love it…I haven’t heard of the coaster you mentioned. Hmm! Very good having only one mini Snickers. I’ve been on a gorgefest in general. This is how it works with me. I can be really good for awhile, but then once I go off-track, I go ape! I'm not proud of my eating these past couple of weeks. I managed not to gain last week, but with the way I'm going, I better SNAP OUT OF IT quick! :7

today was the first day that i wasn't able to even get on the forums at work today. that NEVER happens. i usually have some time. i have been slammed lately.

no workout for me today. i figured i should take a rest day after yesterday's 11 miles.
