::: CHEETAHS ::: Monday

Christine - I was thinking about you this weekend and wondering how you have been doing. Great job on the 3 miles. What a terrific running partner you have! When DH & I got our cocker spaniel, Sadie, she was going to be my running partner. However, she can't hang. She loves the first 1/2 mile, but then she comes to a complete stop and is ready to sprint back home. LOL Good luck running the HM. When is it?

Hey Kristi - the Half is October 14th. It's going to be a stretch, but I think I can do it. I can always walk parts if it's too much. My other Aussie used to run with me, too, but he did not enjoy it the way Jimmy seems to. Jimmy's actually more athletic as well. I cannot wait to get him into an Agility class.

Christine!!

http://myglitterspace.com/glitters/bday/26.gif[/img]..I know, a little belated. We were going to try and post a silly RT trip for you on your BD, but being blonde I kinda forgot....:(... I hope you had a nice one and it would be great to meet up with you on another RT!...

Hey!

Poppin' back in to report that LIC is DONE!}(

Now I've got about 1000 things to do! LOL

I'll pop back in later for personals.

See you then!:*

Carole - THANKS! I figured y'all were caught up and having fun - in fact I was grinning thinking of the big party y'all where having "for me!" It was very nice. Glad you had a great time on the RT and I'm always up for another RT - want to run the RNR Half in San Jose?! *nudge nudge*

Kristi - it was wonderful, thanks!

Hello again! Back from shopping. I got a call from work and there is an emergency and they need me to come in tomorrow:( Crud, now I'll have to reschedule my long run to Thursday. Actually that may work out better for me anyway. Anyway, I breezed through GS Legs this morning.... don't know where the strength came from! I think I may get in some stepping before the EXT session:eek:

Jackie- Sorry you had dvd problems this morning.... how frustrating!
I missed you earlier:( I think we were posting at the same time.
Anyway girl, I have something to tell you! I'm pretty sure you were the one who turned me on to Tracy Staehle's workouts. Well, she was there and I rode in the car back with her from the Friday morning class and got to speak quite a bit with her. She was a wonderfully exhuberent personality that really doesn't come across on her dvd's where she is much more subdued. She is in absolute awe of Cathe and was very excited that Cathe remembered her name! When I told her I had one of her workouts and enjoyed it very much she gave an excited squeel and hugged me if you can believe it!

Christine! Happy Belated Birthday!!!!! I remember Carole mentioning it and we were going to post but got sidetracked... I guess we were all having a blonde moment from Carole ;-)
I think that is SO exciting that you are going to do the San Jose
RnR half!!!!!!!!! And with JIMMY too:eek:   I can't wait to see the pics from this!!

Susan- Hey girl..... wake up already!!!! Carole and I are going to sik Helga on you}(

Later y'all

ShellyC

Hi Marcia ~ hope things slow down for you soon. Have you been able to get back on track with the rotation? I blew off Saturday’s and Sunday’s workouts but am back in the swing now.

Sunny :: Good workouts this morning…how was the core/pilates class?

Kristi :: glad DS was excited and not scared for his 1st day of kindergarten.

Laurie :: so other than not having fingernails (mine have all been breaking lately, too :(), how’s life in the new job?

Gayle :: congrats again on landing the job!! Excellent news. I’m glad you’ve had such positive events to take your mind off things. BTW, how did your date go the other week?

Amy :: Hope you enjoyed your rest day today…ITA about Cathe…I loved her and Lorraine’s outfits…Saw the added pics. Looks like you girls had a good time. Beautiful wedding photos. I love your dress.

Jackie :: I have a busy year, too, with November and December trips planned and several weekends already out of the running b/c of workshop commitments. Maybe spring or summer ’08 would be doable for more of us…Stinks about the DVD…I won’t buy DVDs from eBay anymore, either. Too risky.

Shelly :: thanks for the kind words :)…You are a sweetheart of a ham ;)*lol*…I look forward to your pics.

Carole :: *lol* about our Night at the Roxbury dancing buddy…I did miss Fabio…well, let’s say I didn’t SEE him…don’t think I actually MISSED much…ha ha…I’m enjoying reading the cheetah descriptions of the RT and am DYING over Heather’s scream at dinner, the scrapple, and Helga. Too funny!

Christine :: Happy belated!!! So sorry we missed it & hope you thoroughly enjoyed your day… A run + LL is tough stuff…but yes, a good kind of pain…running the race with Jimmy sounds fun!

Wendy :: glad you had an easy drive back home yesterday…hope you made a good dent in getting your stuff done.

OK, so the weeknd of Dec. 2nd is already out for some cheetahs to GTG…maybe we can plan a little farther out. What would be feasible for those interested?

After this morning's run, I went into school and did some work in the classroom. I moved my massive (and super heavy!) desk, arranged the furniture, cleaned, and unpacked a few boxes. There is more to be done: unpacking, decorating, and doing up bulletin boards. I may continue tomorrow after tutoring. Almost immediately after my chiro appointment, a migraine kicked in, so unfortunately, this afternoon I was out of commish for a bit but am feeling OK now. It's a manageable headache, so I'm going to get showered and meet up with a couple of friends in a little bit.

Have a great night!

Hi, I'm back for personals as promised!

Cathy: I read over on the CABS thread that you ended up with a migraine this afternoon. Poor thing. Glad you are feeling better though. Will you still be able to sneak in some sort of work out?
Going out to Vegas this December isn't possible for me. It's just too soon. Not to mention the fact that I would be up for doing the HM anyway since I intend to run the Philly one in November. Sounds like a great plan for next year though!}(

Judy: I never would have thought of following racing training plans if I didn't intend to race. That's a pretty smart thing to do to get better at running!

Marcia: Sorry you've been so darned busy with work! I hope it slows down soon!

Sunny: Hey girl, what's up? How's the Tri training coming along?

Kristi: That's such great news that your DS didn't cry on his first day! Did you? ;)

Laurie: Nice to have you back. Sorry about the nails. Never thought of the fact that being a masseuse (I have NO idea how to spell that word! LOL) would mean no long nails.

Gayle: I always sweat doing power yoga. That's why I do it!:)

Amy: Wish you could have joined us over the weekend. Maybe next year ALL of the Cheetahs will be able to get in on it OFFICIALLY!:)

Jackie: Sorry about your messed up Cathe dvd. What a bummer. :-( Any chance of you trying to make the cut for the RT next year?

Shelly: A hottie? LOL *blushes like crazy* Why thank you! I guess I have to be honest and say if I didn't feel like I looked good (or atleast BETTER) after 5 years of sweat and tears then I probably wouldn't still be working out like I do so it's nice to know my hard work has paid off. :) You ARE a ham indeed but also the sweetiest, cheeriest person as well! I love your zest for life. It's impossible to be down around you!:+ So was DH rolling his eyes while listening to your incesant babble about the RT? LOL :p Oh and I read what you wrote to Jackie about Tracey. That's sooo cool!:)

Carole: I was LOL'ing about your teasing Shelly cause she was delayed leaving on Sunday and you weren't. You are too cute. :7 If you all didn't have to be up at the crack of dawn the next morning, you can trust me when I tell you that Cathy and I would have INSISTED that you ladies hang around and have a few! Maybe someone would have gotten up to join our buddy on the dance floor eventually! ;)

Christine: Happy Birthday girl! Hope it was the best ever! How great that you and Jimmy are lookin' to do a half together. How cute!:D Have fun training for it!

Wendy :: yes, I ran this morning...but will probably move the yoga to another day. I have to dry my hair & get ready (which you know takes some time, lol) so I don't have time tonight anymore, anyway, but downward dogs & headaches just don't mix. It looks like Vegas in Dec. won't work for many cheetahs, so we'll have to think about '08. Doesn't really matter to me where we meet or whether or not we do a race. Just thought I'd throw out a possibility. :)

Hello ladies,
WOW!!! I am exhausted, but so high still from all the roadtrip events. My girls cannot get enough of me right now. They are following me around like little ducklings(LOL)!!!!

I got in last night at 1:00 a.m and they LOST my luggage. I knew I should not have checked it. It will be here later on today, hopefully.

Okay Cheetahs, I have to say that I was SOOOOOO lucky to have met all these incredibly wonderful ladies. Carole is about the funniest and wittiest person and just a delight to be around, even though she does fart in her sleep;-) Shelly is just a bundle of positive energy. I just followed her around like a puppy. She is a ham though;-) She is so kind and thoughtful and really really fast in the shower. I think I was the most high maintenance of all of them(LOL)!!!
Cathy is so beautiful and has these gorgouse eyes and hair and such a NICE person and was so helpful. I can't believe all the trouble she went to for all of us. A genuine cheetah:) Wendy is the one with the bod. She has a great smile and looks like she would be a blast to hang out with. I did feel like a moose around her though(LOL)! Gayle has a great smile and a infectious laugh. She was pretty intense with the kickboxing too. I was little scared(LOL)!

Everyone on the roadtrip was great and I am so motivated after being in Cathe's classes. I just ordered the new series and did 2nd day air. My ITB did not hurt one bit. I was so worried it would give me a hard time.

Did I mention all the great FOOD we had. OMG!!!! it was fantastic, especially the cheesecake that Cathy made us get at the Cheesecake factory. I really did not want any, but she insisited(I am full of it) I was licking the plate(LOL)!

My hubby was glad to see me and the girls were all crying when they saw me at the airport. It was so nice to get away. We were all so lucky to have gone on this trip. It really made me realize what a great group of women we have here and on the forum.

I am definitley in when it comes to the cheetah get together. I think I did gain a lb on the trip though. Leave it me to actually GAIN a pound after doing 5 classes in 3 days.

Well ladies, I am off to go see where my freaking luggage is,ARHHHHH!

I am going to do ME today and then off to bed early.

Susan

Hello Cheetahs!

I would LOVE to meet you wonderful ladies. I can tell that we would get along just fine! :)

Like Cathy says - a 2008 trip?? That would be great! I will start saving now. Everything costs so much!!!!

Oh, and any time you want to come to Boston, please let me know! I live almost right in it literally! :)

Christine - Happy Belated! Sorry to miss it!

Ok ladies, was busy day at work and now I am trying to catch up on laundry and cook dinner. I was too busy setting up my Picture Trail last night and this AM! Thank you for the comments ladies! Glad you approve of my picture postings! ha ha! :)

Hi all - I have a break from my meeting. They closed the session for negotation discussion, so I'm back at my desk until they are finished. I'll go back to finish the minutes once they are ready. It's 8PM and I'm so hungry or just want to leave so boredom has hit and I want to eat.:-(

Cathy - I'm afraid I have really dropped the ball on our rotation. I just can't seem to get a breath at all to get back in the swing. I get up at 5AM but am so tired from the day before I can't seem to re-energize to workout. I KNOW working out would help me a lot, but I'm just in a HUGE rut! I'm hoping it will be cool tomorrow morning and maybe I can get myself up and out of the house for a nice walk. Maybe a peaceful morning walk will help me re-energize.

I think I could've used a Cathe Roadtrip to get me going. :7 Next year maybe!

Have a great night everyone!

Marcia.

Wendy - I'm happy to report that there was no crying on my end while dropping DS off at school. He acted like he had been there a thousand times before and let DH & I leave without incident. It is kinda bittersweet. How's the HM training going?

Hi Cheetahs,
I would love to join your group, you sound like fun and crazy women!

My name is Laura and I've been running for about 23 years and doing Cathe for about 5. I am a married mom of two teenagers, my son will be a senior and my daughter will be a sophomore in high school. I was reading about one of you taking your son to kindergarten and how you didn't cry. I'm pretty sure I'm going to bawl when my son goes to school on the first day of his senior year. It's the last year he's home before college. The time goes so fast!!

I am a 4 year old preschool teacher and I teach 3 days a week. I can relate to Cathy getting her room set up. I've been in for a few hours the last few days setting things up.

I'm looking forward to making some new online pals!

Laura;-)

Welcome Laura!!! We are so very happy to have you join our group. This is a great motivating and fun thread to be part of, you will love everyone here (I know I do ;-) )

WELCOME!
Marcia.

Hi there Laura!

Welcome to our group. Make yourself at home!

My name is Wendy. I've been running for almost 1.5 years now and have just begun training for my first ever half marathon!!! I have been working out steadily for about 5 years though and discovered Cathe in December of 2004 so that's about 2.5 years ago. Prior to Cathe I was a Firmie for the most part. :)

I hope you enjoy it here enough to stick around.

Evening Cheetahs! I should be getting ready for bed but thought I would post some pics from my last race. DBF finally got them to me. It's nice being able to journal some of my races. Hope the link works.

Shelly - So glad you made it home safely. Did DH tell you to shut up yet? :) I'm enjoying reading everyone's tale of the RT. When do you go back to work? Enjoy your run tomorrow. How awesome that you got to meet Tracey Staehle! You had a fabulous weekend. I love it!

Kristi - Good job on the 2 miles. Sorry you had to cut it short but it's just too hot to be out. My boss wants me to run a 5K Thursday at 7 pm but it's still in the 90's at that time. So, I think I will pass on that.

Carole - So glad you enjoyed your trip despite all of the delays. Something to cherish for a lifetime. Definitely worth it.

Christine - Running a race with Jimmy sounds like so much fun. When I ran my first 10K in May, a man and his dog came in first place. Happy Birtday! Hope you had a wonderful day!

Cathe - Spring or summer of '08 would be much better. Glad you got a lot accomplished in your classroom. Bummer about the headache. Hope you felt better for your time out with your friends.

Wendy - I think I could make next year's road trip if I go ahead and hit that button when registration opens. Never thought it would fill up that fast. Now, I know. Believe it girl, you are a hottie!:)

Amy - Hope you got to relax some tonight.

Susan - How sweet that your girlies don't want to let mom out of their sight. Lost luggage!! UGH!! At least it was lost coming and not going.

I'd better get to bed. I have a run scheduled in the morning.

Have a good night!

Jackie

So I finally chose my 3 ITrain work outs for the month. I got:

ISculpt set 6 (60 mins)
ISculpt set 8 (60 mins)
ITread set 21 (35 mins of intervals)
and a free bonus work out they are apparently giving away:
"ISculpt Body w/o S1 w/Mimi" is what it says as the description. It was just sitting in my cart when I went to check out with no further description. Hey, it's free so I'm all for it! Hope it's decent!:)

Okay, I'm outta here for the night.

C u ladies in the morning.:D
