Morning, cheetahs :)

We got a bit of rain this AM and the humidity's back with a vengeance, so I'm opting for CTX k'box to make up for yesterday's missed cardio/run. That'll be followed by some yoga.

Wendy :: That's what I was thinking re: Lancaster. Playing by ear is fine. I know we both like to do that. :)

Amy :: I wanted to (and still want to) see Freedom Writers. I really have to rent it. I am now in a well-to-do district but formerly taught in what was considered an urban environment, so I think I'll be able to relate.

Have a great day, everyone! BBL-

Good Morning Cheetahs. :)

I've been on the forums for a bit already this morning but I was patiently awaiting Cathy's opening post. Now that it's here, I can chime in. :)

Cathy: Okay then we'll play it by ear. I'll have to think about when I want to leave here to head down to the hotel. It will probably take me about 90 mins to get there.

So I have decided to keep Mondays in my HM training kind of open. The schedule states walk or Xtrain so I will choose at the last minute depending upon my mood. Today will be a circuit work out...DrillMax to be exact.....YIKES...what am I thinking!? :7 :p

I was telling DH y'day that even though I have not worked out in 3 days I feel better then I did while on vacation and working out because my eating has gone back to "normal". I'm not eating all of that cr@p anymore so everything is as it should be. No more bloat, no more back up, no more feeling like a can of crisco!:7 Goes to show you how important a good diet can be!!!!!

Okay, I'm done babbling for now but you can bet that I'll be back.......:p

Good morning cheetahs

Cathy...the polar site is cool, and you can manually post wour workouts there. Well you wouldn't slow me down running but I know Shelly will run my tush off!! I will look forward to hanging out with you after the step class and your chiro appt friday....:)..I have not done SS or even PP in a long time. I know what you mean about the "happy period" comm'ls...years ago they used to have a douche comm'l on late at night...geeze....can they just leave us alone!! Have fun with CTX kickboxing and yoga.

Wendy...yes, my running friend was also a great help yesterday, besides seeing Sadie...:)..The weird thing is I never knew Picture trail was free! I had always paid for my acct. Glad your eating is back to normal. I think we all go a bit crazy on vacation. Enjoy DM today...I actually thought about doing that one to...except just the cardio and all upper body premix.

Amy...have fun on your early run this morning.

I forgot to tell you cheetahs that we ran into 3 a$$es on our run yesterday! Yep...3 donkeys came out of nowhere and mostly ran away from us...:)

I am doing an early morning run while DH rides again this morning. Some last minute RT shopping and maybe the DM premix before I work a bit this afternoon...

Have a great day...:)

Good morning Cathy, Wendy, and all Cheetahs that follow!

I can't begin to tell you how glad I am to be at work this morning. DH left Friday night for PA and won't be back home until Sunday. Anyway, I spent "quality" time with the kids this weekend. However, it was not quality at all. DS was good, as usual, but DD has hit the terrible twos early, and she has them really bad. I also found out that DD can climb the baby gate with no problem, which is scary with all of our stairs. I'm running on empty from lack of sleep this weekend. DD is not adhering to the sleep schedule we have always had. I guess now that DH is gone she thinks she can rule the roost. It is funny I do the exact same things that DH does when we put the kids to bed and she isn't listening at all. Go figure.

Anyway, my long run for Saturday was supposed to be 5 miles on the treadmill. This was supposed to be done while the kids were in bed. Of course, that never happened because even though the kids went to bed at 8, DD didn't go to sleep until 10:30! I had to scratch my workout. However, the rest of my 1st week of my classic P90X rotation has went well. I'm not sure how this week will go because of time constraints and DS's kindergarten orientation on Thursday. I may have to restart my P90X rotation next week when we can regain our normal schedules and DD is not rebelling.

Today I hope to get in C&B and ARX. I'll see how that goes.

Hi to all Cheetahs! I'll try to be back later. Work will probably be pretty hectic, but I might find a few minutes to catch up.

Have a great Monday!

Good morning Cheetahs!

Ever since I am back from the 2 week vaca - I am having the hardest time getting back into my workout schedule!!!!!!!!!

Wendy - I can relate to the eating habits too - when I was away I ate everything!!!! Now I am a mess and trying so hard to be myself!!!!

SO............no working out today! I could not pull myself out of bed. I also have a bad period, so that probably has something to do with this!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am glad to have gotten a good run in yesterday though! Tomorrow - I am going to finally try Kick Max! If I don't get up at 6 or 7AM then I am never going to do it. I need that early morning workout before the world is up and going.

Anyway, enough babbling here about me. I hope that you all have a wonderful day! Just a few days left until the Road Trip for those who are blessed to be going! :)

Take care,
Amy

Good morning everyone!

Shelly - I'm glad you were able to drag yourself out of bed for your run. You got in a darn good run at that time of morning too.

Susan - Happy for you that TOM will be over by the time you leave for the RT. Will be looking forward to seeing pics.

Carole - I'll have to play with that Garmin a little more. I know it will mark a lap every time you pass a particular point. I would prefer it marks the miles for me. Thanks for the info on the running wear. I checked out Target and picked up a couple of shirts and some shorts. Really great prices. It was tax free weekend in TN but I was in MS. At least the taxes are not as high as TN. Great job on the 12 miles. I use the Polar web site too to download my workouts. Funny about the donkeys. At least, they didn't interfere with your run.

Wendy - Welcome back! Glad you had a safe trip and enjoyed it for the most part. I hate going places and there's nothing to do. Really enjoyed the sprinklers during the race yesterday. Some people were trying to aim them just right as we passed their house. Congrats on your certification!

Cathy - Rough TOM! Hope it's better today or I feel for your tv. :) The humidity has been horrible. We're looking at some more 100 degree temps this week.

Kristi - Sorry to hear you didn't get your run in. Hope things go a little better for you this week.

Amy - Another TOM! Hope you feel better too.

My workout today was the Firm's Body Sculpt and Core Max #2. Worked up a pretty good sweat.

Gotta get to work. Enjoy your day.

Jackie

Good morning cheetahs! I hope you are all getting your week off to a good start. I've got my clothes sorted out for the RT anyway, I just have to organize and pack the "small stuff". I was going to do an afternoon strength workout but the run yesterday took too much out of me so I packed instead:) I go back to work tonight and tomorrow night, then I have Wednesday for final preparations. :7

Cathy- My goodness, don't be concerned about picking us up at the restaurant Sunday!! You're already going out of your way enough.
We'll be fine with catching the shuttle. You say that there is a park a few minutes drive from the hotels.... is it feasible to walk there?

Carole- Yes, my notebook PC does have a photo memory card slot. I'll need your help BTW, you are much more computer saavy then I am and this computer is a new one for me. I've never used an internet service provided by a hotel before. Great job on your run yesterday!! I loved your comment about the donkeys :p

Wendy- A split is just a segment of your run of course, and a negative split just refers to running the second half of your race, or course faster than your first half. It is supposed to be an ideal race strategy, but few can actually achieve it and end up doing just the opposite. I like your plan of having an open day in your training regimen. Great workout choice today!!! }( }(

Kristi- Wow, you sure do have your hands full with your little ones!!
I can see why being at work would be a "rest" for you. I hope you can manage to get in your p90x today.

Susan- You go right ahead and be "dorky" at the RT. I bet you won't be the only one stopping and stretching alot. I agree, the stepping classes, kickboxing, etc can be just as hard on the ITB as running.

Amy- It can take quite a while to recover from a long vacation and jetlag, etc. But you accomplished a good run yesterday so I think you're on your way. You will love kickmax!!

Hi Jackie! Posting at the same time!

For today I'll be going with IMAX3 and MuscleMax since I didn't get it in yesterday!

Later y'all

Thank you all ladies!

Wendy - before I forget about this - I read your post about going to Hawaii - and NOT going because of the long flight.

Well let me tell you something girl - it is so worth going, even if you hate planes like me. I take an anti-anxiety for the plane, and it is so worth it!

Everyone should see Hawaii sometime in their lifetime if they can! :)

Life is too short - just go for it! That it my motto!

Enjoy your days! Off to work now!

Afternoon, cheetahs :)

Did CTX KB this morning before the chiro and will need to get in some yoga a bit later. I’m off in just a bit to hang by the pool w/ one of my friends.

Carole :: *lol* I remember those commercials. Ugh…Cracked up about the donkeys.

Amy :: some months seem to be worse the others…take the day if you need to with no worries…you did a helluva job putting in the 4 miles yesterday while under the weather.

Jackie :: our temps are not quite that hot, but they are in the 90s, and with humidity, well, you know how that goes…Glad you found some new gear at Target.

Shelly :: I would guess it’s about a half hour’s walk to the trail…in the very early morning hours, that road might not be TOO bad...but that area accesses two major highways, so I think driving there would be better…Are you sure about the return trip to the airport?

Sunny :: oh no! Sorry to hear about the computer on the fritz! Not fun! I know what you mean about getting your fix. *lol* Hope it’s up and running again soon.

Hi Kristi & everyone else stopping in.

Cathy – Enjoy CTX Kickbox and yoga.

Wendy – Welcome back and congrats on passing!

Carole – I couldn’t help but giggle at your story of running into three donkeys on your run yesterday. That is too funny! Hope your RT packing goes well.

Amy – I’m sure you will get back into the groove of your workout schedule soon. Good luck getting up early tomorrow a.m. to get in KickMax. I’m not an early morning exerciser. I wish I was though.

Jackie – Your workouts sound awesome, as usual! Great job!

Shelly – Great job on having almost everything packed for the RT. It should be so much fun. I wish I were able to go, but hopefully you all will be sharing photos with the rest of us when you get back. Have fun with Imax 3 and Muscle Max.

Sunny – Sorry to hear your computer is in the shop. Enjoy Muay Thai KB tonight!

Hi to all cheetahs!!

Good Evening.

I have a few mins to catch up and then it's off to give Joey a bath. :)

So I did DM today, in full, as planned. I had to take the risers out for a couple of things but other then that I did fine. I questioned wether I would make it all the way through as it's been ages since I've done the work out but I survived! It certainly kicked my patoot though! I am feeling it already! WOOH!:7

Carole: So did you end up doing DM today? I wonder why you always paid for Picture Trail? Maybe at some point they phased out the free membership completely?? But I swear they still advertise free space....no idea!

Kristi: Sounds like work was a rest for you today! LOL Sorry your DD is getting into terrible 2's early. I swore my son was hitting them early as well so don't feel alone in that. I hope she calms down for the duration of the time your DH is away. Thanks re passing my cert exam. I am so relieved!

Amy: Funny, I am finding it easier then ever to eat the "right" way now that I am back from vacation because I hated the way I felt when I was eating all of the junk! I've always eaten junk but only in small amounts. Not consistently like I did last week. It's amazing how you don't realize what it does to you until you've changed your eating habits for the better for a while and then go back to your old way of eating for a time. I have heard mixed things about Hawaii. Seems to be either ya love it or ya hate type of place. One woman I used to work with said it was pretty and all but she didn't see the big deal. To each his own I guess! :)

Jackie: Thanks for the warm welcome back and the congrats on the cert! I am so relieved that I passed. I was truly worried that I wouldn't!

Shelly: Okay, I am familiar with negative splits...just didn't realize that's what it was called until now! LOL DH told me about that racing theory after I raced in my first 5k. Nice time to tell me, right!?! LOL

Sunny: Sorry about your PC problems. I hope you got your computer back tonight! I have been with out a pc on rare occasions and it was enough to drive me bonkers! LOL Thanks re the cert! I am so glad that I passed on the first shot. Now it's on to cpr certing and resume building. Yeay! :p

Cathy: How was your afternoon by the pool? Relaxing I hope w/no sunburn!:)

Okay, I gotta get outta here for now but perhaps I'll be back after I put DS down for the night...

Toodles girls!:*
