I am not sure yet about later.

I will be BBL!

If you fail to plan, then you plan to fail.

Great job, Susan!! Hey, if you're gonna snack, an apple is a great choice! I love cashews too, my brother hates them so when he eats mixed nuts I always get the cashews. ;-)

I'm putting my cut off snack time as 8PM tonight since Survivor starts at 7! :)

Yeah, Judy! Great job! I love those TLC too, yummy!! I have to only get 1 serving out (15 crackers) & then put away the box or else I'll eat too many! (if I haven't mentioned yet, I'm a stickler for servings, I measure and count everything, I'm an OCD nut... }( )

Hey all -

Did okay yesterday until last night when DH decided to cook so I had Indian food last night - chick peas, rice and cauliflower/potatoes/and peas with bread. Not clean... So today I'm going to be really good.

Breakfast -

Protein powder, banana, raspberries

Snack -

Steel Cut oats, 1/2 cup egg beaters

Lunch

Salad - 3 oz chicken, romaine lettuce, carrots, black olives, cucumbers and pinto beans

Snack -

East Coast Chili 1 cup

Dinner

Penne Pasta that I was going to make yesterday.

Skipped a morning snack, I'm trying to eat only when hungry.

Lunch ~ Half of a multi grain flatbread w/ a veggie burger; large salad w/ grape tomatoes + avocado + rasp. vinaigrette, oh and a pear (gotta get in my fruits!)

Plus another 30 oz of water, so that makes 60 oz as of 1PM.

Great job, ladies!

This thread really helps me!

Jess, what is a "multi grain flat bread"?

OH, and Judy! I tried the Paul Newman light soy ginger with the broccolli slaw and a few crunched up cashews...yeeeeeeuuum!! Thanks for the idea.

1/2 cup ff plain soy

snack 1 serving five spice tofu

It's from flatout http://www.delections.com/movie.html Here's a link. They have light, multi-grain, Italian Herb, and other flavors. Anyway, I try to stay away from breads because they make me crave more carbs, so these are perfect. I use them for sandwiches, burritos, & sometimes make pizzas out them too. They are really high in fiber too. (like 8g fiber per flatbread!) Anyway, HTH! And I'm soooo happy to see you posting again. I've missed ya!!!

Let's see. Yesterday I ended the night with popcorn and a Dr. Pepper. I need to revamp my eating schedule, maybe add a few more calories in throughout the day to curb these munchies. I'm also still trying to find an alternative for my Dr. Pepper addiction. I think I might have it with Light Minute Maid, but I won't be able to try out that theory until this weekend, when all of the Dr. Pepper will be out of the house.

Jess - A few days ago you said that the white stuff is like crack. (Sorry I may not have that quote just right.) In any case, I feel the same way. I've noticed if I give myself a little bit of that stuff then I want lots more. I think that is why I'm having a hard time with my soft drink addiction. It is so funny my kids don't know what white bread or pasta is. Oh, I guess I might need to take back the not knowing what white bread is, DS loves butter on French bread.

Today's food:

B: Granola bar & banana
S: Granola & Yogurt, and yes a Dr. Pepper :(
L: Mesquite Turkey Sandwich, red pepper, & 1 c. celery
D: Lean Hamburger on ww bread, 1/2 sweet potato, & 1 c. steamed broccoli

WOW! Thanks Jess! I looked them up and supposedly they can be found at Bel-Air or Raley’s (my local supermarkets) but If not, I’ll order them online. These look great! I'll go for the multigrain for sure...

You're welcome! I buy them at Super Wal*mart (I know, some people are anti-Wal*mart but I'm not one of them! ;-) ). I've eaten them for over 2 yrs, I love them!! Oh, they're great w/ PB too! :p

Yep, that is me. It's my white crack!! I seriously turn into Jekyll/ Hyde w/ the sugar. It's ridiculous. I get teased by my friends who don't understand why I won't eat the cookies, cakes, etc but I seriously can't stop once I start. I've cut way back on the Diet Coke/ artificial sweeteners (still have some splenda, but less than I used to!) & it's helped curb my sweet tooth too. I haven't had a regular soda in years. Do you like Diet Dr. Pepper?? I used to like the Diet Cherry/ vanilla. Still not good for you, but better than all of the cals in regular soda! Good luck!

LOL - Forget getting them online; the shipping price is ridiculous!

Oh yay! I have a superwalmart down in Roseville (about a 30 minute drive). I'll have to check it out this weekend. I'm excited about these because it looks like I can "stuff" them with some really good veggie fillings and just roll em up for my lunch at work. Thanks again, Jess... you really are an inspiration in sooo many ways.

The meatlessin Inca in CA lol ;-)

No problem! They're in the deli section, right in front of the deli meats w/ the other breads, pita pockets, and rolls at my Wal*mart. HTH & let me know how you like them! You can stuff them w/ all kinds of goodies. I swear that I take them w/ me everywhere, I got my Mom hooked on them too. ;-) You're so sweet.

Kristi - I was thinking the same as Jess regarding the DP. You might try the Diet DP until you can completely wean from soda. I used to drink diet sodas, but I now love, love, love to have no sodium club soda. If you need a sweetner, a small splash of real fruit juice works or you could slice some tangerine, orange, lemon or lime to put in it. SOOOoo refreshing and much better for you. I like it because I still get that fizzy drink fix! Good luck and keep trying; you can do it!

Thanks Thomasina & Jess for the suggestions. Unfortunatly, I don't like Diet soda. I keep trying, hoping it will change, but no luck. I just need to stop cold turkey. Guess that is what Lent is for.

Oh, I second the flat bread. It is delicious and very convenient, especially if you are on the go.

OOPS!!!!

I had 1/4 of a plain donut, but I threw the rest out. I bought my girls one for a treat and they threw in plain for free. I stopped myself, so I think I am still on track(LOL)!

I tell you this clean eating is actually really really hard for me.

For lunch, I had my veggie Amy's burrito with fresh greens and fat free dressing.

Snack: 1/2 cup of granola and then the dreaded 1/4 doughnut.

I promise I will be good the rest of the day}(

Susan

Snack (post workout) ~ Vanilla yogurt w/ cott. cheese & wheat germ, 15 mixed nuts

Dinner ~ leftover chicken parm. w/ WW rotini & cott. cheese (kinda like lasagna that way)

Snack ~ Planned later for Survivor. I've been thinking of it all week!! ;-) Light chocolate fudge mint ice cream (from Schwan's), it's low-fat & I'm only having ONE serving. :) And then I'm done!!
