:::: CHEETAHS :::: happy Saturday!

RunninTeach

Cathlete
Mornin', cheetahs! :) :) :)

At Shelly's suggestion, it'll be LIC Total Body Sculpt premix today.

I was one of the last to post last night, so not many personals to catch up with...

Shelly :: isn't it funny how certain things can give you a second wind out on the roads? If someone I know honks/hollers at me...if come across another runner...if I'm passing a road crew of some sort - I'm able to kick it in again. :) As much as a slowpoke like me can kick it in. *ha* :D

Hope everyone has a great day!

~~~Greetings~~~
Carole- I am sorry I missed that you had some oral surgery. Isa your recovery going well, I hope?!
Cathy- With all of this talk of LIC total body sculpt, I may have to look at it closely. I have backed off of lower body for about a month though. It could be painful.
Today is just a 2 mile run and abs.
If you fail to plan, then you plan to fail.
Good morning gals,
cathy- enjoy LIC. i haven't done that one. now i think i may put it on tap for tomorrow, lol.
judy- so no lower body weight work? has it improved your running?? interesting! enjoy your run.
shelly- i just put together my garmin and it's charging right now. yippeee!
jackie- i crack myself up. i am asking about bosu blast and i do not have a bosu. however i do plan on getting one asap. do you like using yours?
i am about to do a sg of SM. my hamstrings and glutes are screaming at me something fierce from yesterday's B&G. tomorrow officially starts my triathlon training!!
have a great day all:)
Good morning cheetahs
Cathy...although not a Simpson fan I was LMAO at your description of "viewing of Bart's wang"...:)...No, my mouth was not tender after the stitches came out, actually any area around the tooth feels a bit numb. I only wished I liked Ice Cream...I am happy my DH has been getting out there. He got a doggy carrier for Sadie so he can take her when he rides. I am thinking this will be good! The Big 50 could have something to so with the exercise, or the 2 Dr's that told him about 3 times he should be doing some cardio...:)..Enjoy your LIC premix.
Judy...not to worry!! The surgery went well and I am recovering good too. Have a nice run and ab workout today.
Sunny..so you will be using the Garmin soon!!?...SM will be good for those hams. I will be very interested to see how your Tri training goes, I have to do one before I turn 50.
Shelly...it is quite funny how just a few words from a stranger, can make a huge difference in a run! Yes running without the tooth pain was wonderful and so was doing those intervals. I might get some speed back one day...:)..I think the foam roller is wonderful for us.
Jackie...Yes, my DH did go along on his bike while I ran. Things seem to be healing up fine, thankfully. Sounds like an interesting Bosu workout.
Well a 2nd night of insomnia for me...woke up about 3, got up about 4 and watched a rerun of "Twin Peaks", not sure if any of you remember that one but it was way bizarre...right up my alley!..:)
I am hoping to do a premix from KPC/L&G later amid baking cakes and getting ready for the 50th party tonight.
Have a great day...:)
G'morning Cheetahs!! I did Drill Max today, what fun!! I haven't done that one in a while, I just love the energy in it! I am a sweaty mess now though!! ;-) I ended up taking Hannah for some back to school shopping y'day morning, we had fun. She picked out some things she likes and they were on sale/ clearance so we did well! I love Gordman's! It was a good way to spend a rainy morning! I did PUB and was very pleased again at how much heavier I can go after P90X! (are you sick of hearing that from me yet? LOL) Mom & I made plans to take the girls to the zoo & then a minor league baseball game tonight. It will be lots of fun!! Greg & my brother Scot will meet us at the game tonight. Scot is heading for training for a couple months so this will kind of be our last get together for a while. Then I'm going to head on to my Mom's w/ the girls for a couple days to visit relatives & have fun. It seems the summer will be gone before we know it!!
OK, must go get more coffee!! Have a great weekend & I'll try to check in from my Mom's when I can!
Good morning cheetahs! No workout for me this morning:eek: :eek: DH wants to hit some garage sales so I'll have to wait til this afternoon to get my "fix". ;-) It'll be a leg day:7
Cathy- Actually I wasn't sure at the time if I should curse or thank the lady on the trail yesterday who made the comment. As soon as she did I knew I had to push it to the end!;-) I think runners are even more psychologically quirky than most people. You may be cursing me after today for inspiring you to try the LIC total body
premix. The push up sequences in particular are challenging, more so then in GS CT IMO.
Judy- 2 miles? Just barely enough to get the endorphins flowing;-)
SunnyD- I so admire you and Jess for making the leap to the Triathlon. You certainly have all your ducks in a row so to speak to begin your training. How is your swimming? That certainly would be my weak area. I CAN swim.... I'm just not very efficient or fast.
I'd definitely need lessons. I would like to train for one but I'm thinking I'll get my second marathon done first... so maybe the start of next year!
Carole- And here I thought I was the only weirdo who didn't really care for ice cream!! Chocolate especially makes me gag.
Party time!!!! Hope you post a pic!
Jess- Sounds like you have a very special fun day ahead!!! And you certainly started it out right with DM... my current all time favorite.... Love it :7 :7 Back to school shopping already!:eek:
DH is showering and making inpatient noises..... got to go!
Later today it'll be B&G and a good sweaty hour on the EXT:7
Good morning cheetah friends,
I am up and ready to conquer Circuit Max, one of my favorite workouts:) I did all of Step blast yesterday and as long as I do not do any step knees I am pretty good with the ITB. Unfortunately, there are tons in most step workouts. It is getting better though and I am still stretching like crazy:)
I had a great time at the mall the other day. I went to lady footlocker and got a pair of chocolate brown Nike workout pants and they were 30% off. I LOVE them and they are so comfortable. I also bought a new workout top. I also got my new Ryka n-gage shoes in the mail yesterday. I got them for $48.00 at the sierra trading post. They are black with slate blue, very cool;-)
We are going to go to the pool today with the kiddies and have a picnic. I had mexican last night and feel like a pregnant cow this morning. It was soooooo good though}(
Cathy, have fun with LIC. I actually really like that workout, especially the lower body and cardio premix.
Judy, enjoy your short,but sweet run today.
Sunnydelite, how exciting for you to start your training. I have been doing a stretch max segment daily lately. I find that it is much more balanced than the stretches I do and it is not as long as yoga. I like the first segment the best.
CArole, I am sorry to hear about your insomnia. I know that yoga used to help me get to sleep. I am glad your mouth is feeling better. Have fun baking cakes today, YUM!!!
Jess, I also love Drill MAx! I know what you mean about the summer going to fast. We only have about 4 weeks left and I don't know where the time went. How fun to go to the zoo. I love going there with the girls. I find now that the girls are getting older, we can do so much more.
Shelly, no workout this morning(GASP)! I know you will definitley get it in later on;-) I know what you mean about swimming. I am not a very good one either. I just do not enjoy it. I am also not an ice-cream fan. If I do have it, it will be a sorbet of some sorts. Now a snicker bar,does the trick for me. BTW, can I bring them on the RT????? I figure we can all have one before each torture session or maybe as a midnight snack...
Well ladies, I am off to have some more greem tea and then I am off to do CM.
HAve a great day!!!!!
Susan
Good morning Cheetahs!
Cathy - Glad you enjoyed The Simpson's movie. I was never a fan but my DS loved them. How was LIC?
Shelly - You couldn't let the woman down on that run now could you? I'm sure you impressed her just as much as you impress us. I do like to change things up every now and then. Can you believe a Bosu is one of the things Shape suggested for starting a workout room? Did you and DH have fun at the garage sales?
Judy - Hope you had a nice run.
Sunny - Laughing at you about not having a Bosu. That's what we're here for to enable one another. I like using my Bosu but haven't been using it a lot because I've been concentrating on my running. I've been looking out for new workouts for it. After my half in Nov., I can start back giving my neglected workouts more attention. How was the swimming lesson?
Carole - How cute that Sadie gets to ride with DH! Bet she enjoys getting out there too. Sorry for the insomnia. Remember Twin Peaks but never watched it. Hope you got a workout in. I like chocolate cakes! Have fun with the party tonight! And, I hope you sleep better too.
Jess - Nice job with Drill Max! I've only been to a Gordman's twice but I like the store. Nice things for the house. Have fun at the zoo and the game.
I did 10 miles this morning. I did 6.5 outside and started chaffing and it felt so uncomfortable. Sometimes I don't realize I chaffed until I get in the shower and the water stings. Came back home and did the last 3.5 miles. Did Cathe Basic Stretch. I'm taking it easy the rest of the day. Yippee!!
Enjoy your Saturday!
Jackie
carole- very soon hopefully. the only problem is i can't find the monitor part. i am hoping when i took it out the box the other day i put it up somewhere and hopefully one of my kids didn't run off and hide it. if not then i will have to contact amazon because it wasn't in the package. keep your fingers crossed for me it's around here somewhere. so happy to hear your mouth has healed up nicely!
susan- i love going to the zoo with my children. so much fun! sounds like you are finally able to get in some nice workouts. good for you!
shelly-so you are thinking about a triathlon also!! that's awesome. i know you would do a great job. how is my swimming you ask? ha, i don't know how to swim at all. i am learning from the ground up. nothing like a real challenge, huh??lol
jackie- i ordered a bosu workout from collage featuring gay casper. i know, i know i don't even have a bosu yet, lol. i will soon, very soon. once i try out the workout i will let you know what i think. great job on your 10 mile run!!
cathy- let me know what you think of the LIC premix!!
Judy :: what made you back off the leg work? Chi Running?
Sunny:: hope you enjoyed SM & the hams loosened up. Do you have a foam roller?
Carole :: wow, no ice cream? I love the stuff. Yummm!! :) The best ice cream I’ve ever had was at an Italian ice cream shop in Amsterdam last summer…it was like I died and went to heaven… *big sigh* :) …sorry about another night of insomnia ~ it can become a nasty pattern…yes, I remember Twin Peaks but didn't watch it, either. I remember seeing bits and pieces of the pilot or maybe an episode and thinking, yeah, this is out there. I remember a photography prof I had in college told me at the time that I looked like Sherilyn Fenn from that show, so I had to check it out…have fun celebrating tonight!…Mmmm, cakes!!!
Shelly :: psychologically quirky ~ *lol* ~ I think you may be right on that…I like crossing paths with runners who smile or nod. There are some I encounter from time to time who are always serious and never acknowledge anyone…Wha? Chocolate makes you gag??? *gasp* ;)…enjoy the garage sales and this afternoon’s workout. I’m saving LIC for later, but I’ll let you know how I fare.
Susan :: enjoy CM ~ I just added that one to my library but I didn’t care for it. I do like CK, though. Enjoy your new gear! Always fun to score some bargains.
Jackie :: Haven’t done LIC yet ~ I plan on doing it later this afternoon…Ugh, I hear you on the chafing. I have been having chafing issues myself lately, and it’s the same thing – usually I don’t notice until after. It’s terrible, isn’t it, how that water stings??? I remember hearing other runners talk about Body Glide, but I don’t have any. I’m going to try Vaseline or Eucerin before I head out tomorrow. Great job getting in the 10 miles…enjoy your day!
Hi Jess & anyone else stopping in today!
LIC Total Body Sculpt done. Love it! I could actually hang with the brief step portion for the most part (OK, I went in the wrong direction *a couple* of times :p), and yeah, Shelly, those pushups were tough. I have not been doing as many since the X, so I'm a little out of practice. Went to my knees to get through it. Great premix!!!
