Just finished BC...Yeow!!!!!!!! Good stuff. Love, love, LOVE it!!! IA w/ Wendy ~ the space concerns are not that big of a deal at all. I wound up turning sideways and using the length of the room (not facing the TV), but it was fine. There *were* some minor equipment changes (setting up weights on the floor as markers or getting/putting away your step), but in all candor, I was grateful just to get a breather for a few seconds!!! *lol* Awesome, awesome workout!! Like KB, it was so much fun, I didn't want it to end. I can't WAIT to do the weights!

I think I might have been the last to post last night, but let me go back and check.

ETA: Yep, I'm all caught up. Have a TERRIFIC day, ladies!!!

cathy- oh you have me dying now for the new ones. glad you are enjoying them and the space wasn't an issue. i forgot to mention earlier i tried the banana cream pudding BSN and it is delicious.

wendy- so glad to see you are feeling better and able to resume your workouts. are you ready for your HM? work is going well. i was pretty much able to pull out of the gym that wasn't fairly paying the trainers, although i do still have a couple of clients there because i've grown attached and i still get a free gym membership, lol.

jackie- it's hard for me now to try all of the tagteams because i sold my tm to my sister. (she really needed something) and i want to convince dh to purchase a new one, lol. i sometimes hate jumping from machine to machine at the gym.

kristie- shoe shopping will definitely make you feel better:D . don't tell dh but i just bought 4 new pairs of sneakers. kohl's is having a buy one get one free sale!! glad to hear ds and dd are doing great. mine are doing wonderful! i am with you on the lack of sleep. for the last 3 weeks ds#2 has been waking up(around 2 or 3 am) and will only go back to sleep if he's in our bed...;o(

christine- have you received your notification yet? my HM is on 12/1!

lori- hope you had an awesome day yesterday and enjoyed your cake!!

shelly- i wish i could join you gals in LV. i just know you are going to have a blast.

carole- lucky you, going to lv and esp. getting to hook up with some of the cheetahs again...woohooo.

judy- hopefully you are feeling better today:)

wendi- i am like you. i will not run outside in the dark. i am too afraid.

today's workout will be UB workout of my own creation and a 30 min iclimb.

yesterday i didn't do s&h (legs and shoulders) again...ttom came and i just couldn't muster up the motivation. so i put in DM thinking that would help but to no avail. i didn't want to miss my workout so, i cranked up my own music and did my own leg circuit (and boy am i feeling it today) and then i did B&G bonus stability abs portion! had a great workout:D

now that i've written a book, lol. i gotta go. have an awesome day ladies.

i just received an email from beachbody re: the new p90x videos coming in decemeber!!!!! i watched the clips and all i can i say is a am scarrrrrrrred, lol!:D :p
 
good friday morning, cheetah babes!

i had a great day yesterday. the cake was from this really fancy bakery (henri's) and it was so good! well, actually, the frosting was so good. i like the frosting way more than cake, so that's the part i ate. everyone at work always thinks that's so funny! df made dinner last night (sea bass, sashimi seared tuna, salad, and seasoned brown rice) and we had some good "cuddle time." it was a great birthday.

i have bbc butt and legs and total body on tap for this morning. yikes! then, i am planning on taking the weekend off. we are doing various "birthday related things" with friends this weekend. besides, after nadia, i probably won't be able to walk! i can't believe how sore i was from that w/o last time.

i need to go find my motivation. i will be back for personals later.
 
Good morning Cheetah-land!

Today is a "rest" day for me LOL! I say rest very tongue-in-cheek because today is round 2 of "Sale Horse Prep Max", with "Hay Max" as a warm-up! It's a killer workout }( :+! Hay Max is a great overall burner, compound wieghts and cardio...really gets the heart rate up. Prep Max keeps the cardio kicking with all the frantic hustling around the barn to get all of the other horses ridden and everything else done and simply from pure adrenaline. Then it really gets into those shoulders, chest and back while scrubbing six very large critters that make it their sole purpose in life to get as dirty and manure covered as they possibly can in the overnight hours. It will be blast JK!

Kristi - Ooh, I had forgotten about the "time change" change x(. Well, that just bites... Please take care of yourself hon. The rest day was a good call.

Judy - Yeah, I find wine hits me so much harder than anything else. I hope you're feeling better this am. Did you get to try the new dvds?

Carole - Thanks for the suggestion. You were right on the mark actually. My legs seemed like lead last night...not sore just tired. I only ended up doing 5.1 miles at a 9 min/mi clip. I couldn't have imagined trying to bang out a tempo run. I hope you have a blast in Vegas!

Shelly - Oh come on! I'm sure we could knock out quite a duet! You leave for your stair climb today right? Rock those stairs, Cheetah-babe!

Lorie - Mmmmm, it sounds like you thoroughly enjoyed that cake :9! I'm a frosting lover, too. It sounds like you had a wonderful day yesterday...you deserve it! Going back for more Nadia, eh?

Jackie - Oh, have fun in the city! I just got some promotional thing from the Manhattan Club in the mail...I don't meet their, *ahem* financial requirements to attend though.

Christine - I like those abbreviations! Oh, Jimmy's going to be crushed :-(. I hope you're able to find another...for his sake and YOURS! Great workout yesterday.

Wendy - I'm gald your hangover faded. That mish mosh sounds insane!!! I agree that I think 4DBC's space concerns won't be as bad (for me, anyway) as the Clock Push Ups in LIS...I will definitely need to modify for space on that one!

Cathy - Ooh, I *love* Outback's petite fillet with horseradish...YUMMY! I think it's safe to say that 4DBC took care of Outback and then some!

Linda - I think I might miss you but have a great time in Vegas!!!

Sunny - Sorry about your visit from Aunt Flo but it sounds like you more than made up for it with your leg "creation". I live in a wonderful neighborhood but there was quite the string of burglaries this summer (54!) of which I was one so it would not be my first choice to run in the wee hours of morning. Enjoy your dvds!

I probably won't be home much before 9pm tonight so I'll have to see you all in the morning. Have a great day everyone!

Sunny...Sounds like you will be running your HM the day before we do the HM in Vegas. I think hooking up with Shelly (again) and meeting Lorie will be a lot of fun. Sounds like a good leg circuit.

Wendi...so, a tough rest-max day??? Your description of the various "maxes" had me tired! I think Vegas will be quite fun.

Hey Cheetahs –

Oh wow – I just previewed Budokon Flow and Flexibility. Wow. That’s all I can say. I’m going to attempt it – I think I’ll be able to do most, but there’s a learning curve on a few of the yoga techniques. It’s basically a Martial Art Pattern Dance and Cameron does indeed look like a dancer. It has elements of Judo, Kenpo and Tae Kwon Do. I think I’m going to really enjoy this one. So, I’ll try it today. :p There are a lot of rolling up to standings, but he shows technique that makes it easier, so while it will be a good leg workout, I think it’s doable, even after LL. This is what I had hoped for with the original. I’ll also do CTX Biceps when I’m done.

Cathy – I cannot wait to get my videos! I’m counting the days. I love hearing that you did not want it to end! That’s great.

Sunny – Yep – I get mine on the 24th. Next Wednesday. I can wait. Barely. LOL. Oh, how fun! I can’t wait to hear how you do!!! I like the B&G Stability abs.

Lorie – I’m so glad you had a good time yesterday! DF’s dinner sounds incredible – can I come over next time? :+

Wendi – Enjoy HayMax (yeah right!). Having washed my share of horses, I can certainly imagine that it would be WORK to wash six of them to prep for a sale! I have an appointment on Monday for another DayCare who also has overnight boarding (which I’m needing for the dynamic furball), and as Jimmy is so darned sociable, I’m sure he’ll do well. It’s just further away – which makes my 2 mile commute kind of counter productive. Oh well.

Carole – Actually, I’m doing okay with LL! Okay enough to brave the Budokon video. I’m happy about that. I LOVE that cat video. I don’t have them now, but I’ve had cats all my life. I had one cat, Sondi, who would sit on my face if I did not get up in time. I laughed hard, too! Enjoy MM and your run!

Good Morning Girls.

This is going to be a fly-by post as I got up waaay late this morning! I am going to head out to the gym for a run and at nap time I will do 4DS bis and tris (yes, I REALLY will this time!:p ). I also have to go to the foodstore. BLECH! I hoped to take Joey to the park but between the dreary looking weather and how late I got up today, I don't know that that will happen. :-(

Good morning Cheetahs! Today I get off at noon (but get paid for a full day). I'm looking forward to having the afternoon off. I figure I can do my grocery shopping and do a 4 mile run before going to pick the kids up at daycare. DH should be home by dinner tonight. He left Columbus, GA around 8 a.m. I can't wait to see him.

Good morning cheetahpals! I'm up taking care of business on the computer before packing and heading down south for the Great Bisbee Stair Climb!! www.bisbee1000.com.
Yesterday was quite busy for me. The meeting was actually a productive one and went well:) Took care of alot of errands and came home to CleanMax and then was finally able to enjoy trying out the new workouts. I only had time for one so I did the BC w/ Bi and Tris..... LOVE IT:7 :7 :7 woooohooooo this is a Shelly workout!!!
I sweated up as much in that 1/2 hr as I do with most hour workouts
(the cardio portion I mean) The bi and tri workout left my arms quivering. I usually go heavier than Cathe in her workouts but stuck with her on this one and boy it was quite enough!!!
I absolutely can't wait to try the others. She has really outdone herself with this new series apparently. Be prepared to get fried!!
I probably won't be able to post again until Monday. I'll have some pics to share of my stair climb adventure.

okay, i am rushing around and will come back later to read posts and do personals but i wanted to let you know about nadia's new name: nadia the nazi!!! omg, she is brutal! my legs feel like jello. i was dying doing total body after but barry is so motivating and he makes me laugh.

Are you going for the HM Sunday? I sure hope so... I KNOW you can do it and you'll feel so good for it too!!

I'm thinking that I'll want to focus on weights for a while after my LV marathon in Dec. I'm seriously contemplating a p90x round with the new series to kick off the new year. I do wish you could come to Vegas in Dec. I think next year we'll have to talk seriously about a cheetah GTG!!!

Lorie- Sounds like you had a fantastic birthday! It was well deserved IMO. What a FUN FUN weekend you have planned!!! Go for it!

Wendi- I got a kick out of your description of Hay Max and Prep Max!

Christine – Sorry your doggie camp is closing. I hope you are able to find some place great to take Jimmy. How often would you take him? Maybe I should look into something like that for Chelsea since she has so much energy. I hate her being in her kennel all day (with the exception of lunch time) while I am at work. She has so much pent up energy at night maybe that might be a good option for her. I’ll price a few places. I need to call around anyway to check prices for kenneling her when we are out of town anyway. Leaner Legs is an awesome workout! It gets me every time. However, I don’t own it anymore. I traded CTX for P90X a while ago. I don’t like Daylight savings time either. To me it seems to be a waste. It messes with the schedule I have with the kids. Maybe one day they might get rid of it. I think there was talk of it once, but I don’t remember where I heard that.

Carole – Congrats on making your Vegas arrangements! I’m really bummed that I couldn’t swing the trip and get to meet you all. But I know you all will have a fabulous time!

Linda – I know you probably won’t be back, but have a wonderful time on vacation!

Wendy – Any more calls on the resumes you sent out? Good luck with your HM on Sunday!

It is the flake of cheetahs here. Sorry I have not posted in few days. To be honest, I have just been enjoying the forum as a lurker and just having some quiet time. I am anxiously awaiting my dvd's which will be here today, YAY!!!!

I have had some good workouts. I did Imax2 yesterday and gs legs and the day before I ran 4miles and did Gs ba,sh, and bi's.

Today, I will do one of my new workouts, assuming they get here in time. I think I will start with the bootcamp one. It sounds like all of you ladies are getting in some awesome workouts, as usual.

Well, I just wanted to pop in quickly. I am off to get a massage and then to lunch at the dreaded, fattenting, but oh so delicious Chevy's. My girlfriends always pick the fattening places. I would rather have sushi or something lighter now and then. Oh well, I will just have to put up with another burrito}(

I’m back! Really enjoyed Budokon! I’m feeling accomplished – probably a good thing I don’t have mirrors in my work room, though, as I KNOW I did not look like the dancer that Cameron does – more like the elephant ballerinas in Fantasia! :+

Kristi – Oh, luck you! I wish I could get off at noon! Your DD is simply adorable! Love the curls! I take Jimmy twice a week – on Tuesday and Thursday, and I try to schedule a run on Monday and Wednesday with him. That keeps him pretty happy. I can tell a huge difference when I don’t take him. Last time, he decided to get into gardening and move some of the plants around. We did not like his ideas and had to change everything back. :p A lot of the daycares have over nights as well – which I like because it means that Jim is not stuck in a kennel all day long with a walk here and there – but he gets to be out and play all day, then he sleeps, totally exhausted.

GO SHELLY GO!!!! I can’t wait to see how you do! And you made me really want these new workouts! Man, I cannot wait! And honestly, no DOMS from LL. I’m amazed. I had more DOMS from Power Circuits. Go figure.

Lorie – enjoy your Jello Legs! Thanks for the dinner invite! I reciprocate as well! Hope y’all get some rain!

Jackie – Nice workout this morning! Do you stretch on your own, or use videos?

Back to Chetahville!

Hi friends. The hangover has left. But not before The 2nd floor got dusted and vacuumed, and the paper work on my desk tackled. The good news is I was ready to tackle one of the new workouts by 4:30.

So, it was 4D BC/Bi&Tri which is about 66 minutes. I agree with the comments so far. BC flies right by, and space is not really an issue. It feels like intervals because the drill are intense, but we get a breather setting up for the next drill. Now Tri& and Bis are really cool. I like the set up of the rounds as mentioned. The first round is a pyramid for triceps. I ran out and bought 30# DB for this. Well when it got to the 30# over head exercise, I could only complete 3 of the6 reps. The different approach with super setting triceps and biceps is a fresh change. I have Triceps DOMS today but not Bicep ones.

Today was my 2nd 10 miler. I did it. But it didn't feel great. At about 8 miles I could feel my hip. I probably need to slow it down even more.

Shelly- I did get a fuel belt. It will take time to get used to. For hydration I used 8oz Gatorade and 8 oz water mixed. Have a blast on the stair race adventure! Shelly it could be fun to put together a heavy rotation with 4DS as a P90X rotation. Did I understand you right when you mentioned a rotation?

Wendy- Good luck on Sunday ! I'll be checking in here to see your race report.

Wendi- you active rest day is anything but rest! I hope the horse shows well for all the effort!

Kristie- your DD is so sweet! and I adore her curls too!

Lorie- I am another frosting lover too! Enjoy the weekend festivities.

Cathy- I agree BC was awesome and it will get more predictable with practice too. Watch out for Tris & bis! They definitely exhausted me.


Carole- I am anxious to hear you review of the weights in 4DS. you have done so many heavy weigh rotations that I am curious to read your take on them.

Hi Ladies.

I got in Itread 1/20 minutes this morning. I wasn't any kind of speed demon as I was coughing but atleast I did it. So then just a little while ago I was getting ready to hit 4DS Bis and Tris and banged my elbow in to the corner of my kitchen counter right before I started. I could barely get through the first exercise with light weights! I had to stop. My elbow is aching like mad and I can't straighten my arm all the way. ;( I will see how it feels tomorrow....perhaps I'll be able to do it then or perhaps I'll be going to the doctor...Oh joy! LOL

So tomorrow was going to be a "practice day". I had decided I would spend some time trying to learn the new step routines instead of throwing them aside out of frustration w/o giving them a fair chance. I am now hoping I can do that AND the weight work. Weight work comes first though so long as my elbow is better.

Cathy: Glad you loved BC!

Sunny: I am ready for my HM now that I have conquered the 10 mile run but this cough could put a damper on it. :-( All I can do is hope for the best. Glad work is going well for you.

Lorie: Yup, you and Shelly are officially 2 peas in a pod! Double BBC...that's just insane! }( Loved your nickname for Nadia, BTW!

Wendi: Busy day today! As far as those clock push ups go-I could only do about 4 in one direction before having to come back so I know about not having enough room. lol

Carole: Enjoy your rainy run. It's raining here too if it makes you feel any better. I am not running in it though. Can't wait to hear your reviews when you start doing the new work outs!

Kristi: Enjoy your half of a vacation day today! Loved the pics of your DD! So cute!!!!

I DO intend to go through with the HM. The continued chest congestion/cough makes me nervous when it gets bad but I can always take it easy if need be.
