:::: CHEETAHS :::: happy Friday! :-)

RunninTeach

Cathlete
Mornin’, cheetahs :)

I have been up since 3 :( …so I’m thinkin’ a nap may be in order later today…Today’s workout will be PUB (tho I'm tempted to sub BM2 u/b thanks to Jackie :)) + a run followed by a chiro appt. and then a pedi & long-overdue haircut this morning. :)

Jackie :: sorry to hear DS’s truck was burglarized…I hope he didn’t lose much cash and was able to cancel credit cards and such before any further damage was done…I have never tried BM2 at all…I really should now that I do have enough time to spare to try and learn the moves…I am only tutoring once a week. My tutee is a really nice kid, but I actually don't think I'd do this again for PT work next summer. There's a lot of prep that goes into it because they don't have real assignments to work on.

Shelly :: *lol* oh yeah, I’ve definitely got plenty of booty left! Maybe if I went on *your* training plan, I could get rid of it! :D…The marathon is something I always wanted to do and will eventually but am not in any rush…Fat loss is still my primary goal, and I don’t plan to race a long distance until I am carrying a little less baggage. :)

Gayle :: glad your mom is OK.

Am caught up with yesterday's personals...hi to all other cheetahs...enjoy your Friday!

Good morning cheetahs,

cathy- why have you been up since 3am? so sorry you had a hard time sleeping. enjoy your day of beauty!

wendy- your tats look awesome!! two of my clients came in the other day with new tattoos and between you and them, now i am thinking hmmm, maybe another one wouldn't be too bad, lol. my plan for the HM is to run as much of it as i can, i am not trying to win, just would like to finish. if i have to take walk breaks then so be it! no shame in that.

today i am going to do a sg of SM and take a yoga class this afternoon. i am pretty much resting since i have a 5k tomorrow:)

have a great day to all my cheetah pals!

Good Morning. :)

So guess what...I can walk today! WOO HOO! LOL :p I still have a *TINY* bit of soreness in my backside but it's nothing really. :7

Today is once again supposed to be X Chest and Back and ARX since I flaked out of it the other day. Hopefully I won't be so flakey today. NO EXCUSES!!!!:)

Cathy: So will you change your plan and go with BM2 u/b or stick with PUB? ;) Sorry about your sleeplessness. Knock on wood, I've been having a good run w/no problems lately. I hope it continues!

Sunny: Sounds like a good plan for your HM! What about your Tri? Did you learn how to swim yet? :p :7 Good luck with your 5k tomorrow. I know you'll do great!
I was lookng for some races that were correct distances to include in my HM training but I couldn't find anything. I want to try new distances like 10k and longer but they were at the wrong points in my schedule. Phooey!x(

TGIF! BBL!:7

G'morning Cheetahs! Hey Cathy, I've been up since 4:30 and kept waking up every hour or so all night. I might need a nap later too!

I think I'm finally over my cold, still congested but feeling better. I've been *around* just kinda lurking here. I'm concentrating on clean eating and it's helping! It's been rainy all week, the girls & I have been doing crafts & other projects to keep busy. I took Wed as a rest day since I wasn't feeling well & did LowMax w/ an 8 lb med ball (love that workout!), and then CoreMax #3 w/ the med ball also. Haven't done that one in a while either, I feel like I'm discovering new workouts again after the X! I had some major DOMS from S & H Chest & Back, those flys really got me good!

Greg & I actually went on a date last night! It was lots of fun. We went to dinner w/ our Pastor & his wife who are good friends of ours. We really enjoyed the time out & the kids had a great time w/ the babysitters (we had 2 teenagers, they're sisters). It worked out great. They want to watch the girls again, so I think we'll try to make it a more regular thing. Oh, and we stopped at Dick's afterwards & I got some 30 lb db's!! Just call me Shelly! ;-) And Greg found a pair of hunting boots that were normally $130 for $40!! They're super warm & camoflauge so he was happy.

We have a BBQ to go to tonight. The girls & I made some yummy (and NOT healthy!) desserts y'day. Choc. filled oat walnut bars & oatmeal choc. chip cookies. Well, at least the oatmeal in them is healthy! :p

Cathy ~ Ooh, BM2! I haven't done that one in ages! That's a good one! Enjoy your errand-filled morning!

Sunny & Wendy ~ All of this talk of half marathons is making me want to run one too! I had thought about one this fall but just don't feel like I should jump into it, I'm so afraid of injuries again. I'm enjoying my 4-5 mile runs for now! And Wendy, NICE tattoos!! Looks good!

Have a great Friday! I'm off to do KPC, I think. Haven't made up my mind yet.

OK, I did a fun KPC premix- kickboxing drills, then kickbox/ legs & glutes circuit + abs. I was dripping w/ sweat!!

Off to make my oatmeal now! Have a good one! :)

Good morning cheetahs

My surgery is at 10:45. I just can't have anything to eat or drink 8 hours before the surgery. I am really missing my coffee! I woke myself up about 2 so I could drink some water...I will let you know how things go...

Cathy...sorry you woke up so early. A nap would be nice later.

Sunny...enjoy SM and yoga and Good Luck in your 5K tomorrow!!

Wendy...thanks, the surgery should be easy. They put you out so it seems like its over in minutes. Glad you can walk today! Have fun with P90X C&B, that is one I almost always sub something for...

Jess...glad your cold is getting a lot better. Sounds like you has jun with KPC.

Jackie..that is awful about DS's truck! Having your wallet stolen is no fun. Good job with the iClimb and BM2 double upper body.

Shelly...way to go on the "elite" pace for a min. Doesn't it just amaze you the elite marathoners can hold a 5:30 pace or faster for 26.2 miles?? Blows my mind. Thanks, if the surgery is anything like last time, it'll be a breeze.

Gayle...glad your Mom is feeling better.

I might do some Pilates this morning. I keep thinking I should grab some water, but I can't...

Have a great day...:)

Hey guys. My usual quickie...

Started the day off with GS Legs. Ouch. I'm sore already.

Today is a day full of baking and cooking. My girlfriend is throwing her DH and his twin brother a surprise 40th BDay party tomorrow. So I've been asked to make a huge batch of macaroni salad and my chocolate peanut butter zucchini cake. YUM!

DS has his last baseball tourney starting tonight, thru the weekend.

Gayle

Good morning ladies!

Shelly - Good job with BBC! You are one fast Cheetah! And, you did two of them! I think I did that 10 mph for about 15 seconds. That was enough for me. I can't imagine my little legs moving that fast all of the time. I'm amazed at those who can. DS had his license and 3 credit cards stolen. He's in the process of having his license replaced and he report the CC already. I thought of a few choice words for Cathe as I was pushing through that BM2 DUB. I feel it today.

Gayle - Glad everything is ok with your mom.

Wendy - Glad you decided on your HM. I've been working out since the early 80's. Taught a few years at a couple of community centers. I've been running for 3 years now. My DD is now into fitness but it's only been for a few years. I was hoping she would follow my example and it eventually hit home with her. Thanks for the kudos! :) I think I read somewhere that tatoos are popular with the 50 & above crowd. Try the 10K's anyway just to get a feel for them. They are in the wrong place on my schedule too but I swap things around to accomodate them.

Cathe - Sorry you were awake so early. You sound like you need a nap to take on all you have planned today. Enjoy your day! Did you do BM2? I haven't tried a lot of the premixes from Cathe new workouts because I've been concentrating on running. Is it hard for your tutee to stay focused?

Sunny - Enjoy your rest day! Good luck with your 5K tomorrow.

Jess - Glad the cold is better. It's nice that you and Greg got to have a date night. Nice workout today.

Carole - Hope all goes well with surgery. That's what I hate about working out and trying to fast for a procedure. I'm afraid I'll want a drink of water too.

I ran 6 miles this morning and used CC #6 with Candace. Did GBG stretch. Thought I would run a little longer today since I'm resting tomorrow and my 5K is Sunday. Scheduled a massage for tomorrow too. Looking forward to it.

Have a fantastic Friday everyone!

Jackie

Good morning all! Slept rotten last night and feeling pretty draggy
x( But since I'm going into work tonight I have a good excuse to take a long afternoon nap and recover. I'll be doing a Runnervals workout, fast cheetah and going about 6 miles.

Cathy- Wow, what a day you have scheduled...and doing BM2 or PUB???
You'll be ready for that nap!!

SunnyD- Best of luck to you on your 5k tomorrow... have fun!!!! Yoga is a great choice for a pre race workout,IMO.

Wendy- Thanks for your kind comments about my 6:00 pace the other day
but I hardly think I fall into the hero category since I can only do this for a minute at most. Congratulations on still having working legs today!;-) That's a shame you can't find a 10k to race in... it would be great preparation for your HM. Did you check the NJ metro race forum...www.raceforum.com.?

Jess- wooohooo, got yourself some 30lb DBs!! Did you preorder the new 4dy split series? It looks like we'll get ample opportunity to use these!!! }(

Carole- I guess since you're not allowed any liquids this morning you'll be having general anaesthesia. How nice!! It does make this kind of surgery alot easier. I wasn't even given that option...
I had only a local and it was brutal!! I want your dentist!
Sorry that you're misssing out on your coffee though!

Gayle -Chocolate peanut butter zuccini cake??:9 :9

Jackie- You sound ready for your race this weekend! Here's wishing you a relaxing and fun race:7 Great idea to have a massage the day before!!

I'll also be getting in IMAX extreme today.... I'll be ready for that nap!!

ShellyC

Afternoon, cheetahs~:D

Carole :: was thinking of you today ~ how’d you make out? HATE starting a day without my tea ~ fasting is no fun. Anyway, hope you are feeling good post-op.

Sunny :: The ol’ bladder did me in...After I got up, I just couldn't get back to sleep…Strong cheetah vibes comin’ atcha for tomorrow’s 5K!! :)

Wendy :: of course…in keeping with my flakiness this week, I opted for BM2 u/b (one time only) instead of PUB. It was the lure of something different. :)

Jess :: glad you’re feeling better!…I think it’s great that you & DH are making time for date nights…you deserve it.

Gayle :: you just *had* to mention chocolate PB zucchini cake, didn’t you? ;) :D…good luck to DS in his tourney.

Jackie :: yesss! I did BM2 u/b – but not the double premix as I didn’t have 72 minutes to spare this morning…But thank you for planting that seed ~ it's a good one. I’ve only had one tutoring session with him so far, but he seems focused. And they are only an hour long. The time goes pretty quickly. Apparently, he is going to be at a lacrosse camp next week, so we will skip a week…enjoy that massage tomorrow! Is it the $39 bargain? I would be all over that! Going every week in a new disguise. :p

Shelly :: sorry to hear you had a bad night’s sleep…hope the nap left you rejuvenated for another night’s work…You know, I really didn’t do that much running around today – and besides, getting a haircut and pedi is relaxing, so that doesn't count. But I usually do have to fight it not to doze off!

Well, this morning I enjoyed BM2 u/b followed by a rather weak 3-miler. Was low on gas this morning. But ah well...some days are like that. Of course, you are always spotted by people you know on a day when you are sluggishly shuffling along. *lol* ETA: I forgot to mention this one word which also contributed to the less-than-stellar run: CHAFING! Aghhghhghh *lol*
