::: CHEETAHS ::: cruisin' into the week 11.12

RunninTeach

Cathlete
Morning, cheetahs!

I’m back from the wedding cruise!! I did not have much downtime, so I was not able to peek in on the forums while away. But hey, I guess that’s how a vacation *should* be, huh? That said, I’m just going to read through yesterday’s posts and try to pick up from there…

Wendi :: sounds like your pony is about to be sold…fingers crossed it goes through. Hope you enjoyed a day of rest yesterday.

Carole :: thanks for the update on John…It is good that he has the basketball games to bring him some sense of fun and a physical release. How does he feel about the accident at this point?

Lori :: Funny, I do consider Sunday to be the end of the week now simply because that’s the way I’ve structured my rotations for a while now. What did you wind up with—snow or rain?

Shelly :: hope that last 20 miler before your mary was a good one. Glad you enjoyed yourselves at the party. How’s your DS & BIL doing?

Christine :: sounds like you enjoyed a fun & festive weekend of socializing and eating…good job squeezing in SB!

Wendy :: glad you and DH had a great time in Baltimore relaxing, taking in some sights, and enjoying some good food, drink, and music. Last time I was there, we took in an Orioles game and then started our pub crawl. It was fun. I’ve gotten really good hotel deals through hotwire.

Linda :: Great job with the 8 miles & C&B…thanks! It was a long day of travel yesterday. We had a 6:30 am breakfast on the ship and were deposited from the port to the airport by 9 am. Our flight wasn’t until 2:45, so it was a long wait. As much as I love travel, I hate the “getting there” part of it and waiting around. That was the longest I’ve ever waited when there wasn’t a delay or missed connection...BTW, have you gotten any Vegas pics up yet?

Hi to everyone else! Looks like it was a quiet day here yesterday.

I will try to go back at some point and read through some of the other threads…hope you all enjoyed your weekends. My mind is a complete blank when it comes to what I’d planned to teach today, so uhhh, I need to figure that out quick! *lol*

A short synopsis of the cruise…

…Had a great time…we boarded the ship around noontime on Thursday and sailed from Port Canaveral that night…Friday morning we docked in Nassau…I went to the fitness center at 6:30 am and used the EXT for 20 min., then ran 2 miles on the running deck...beautiful!...That was my only workout, though...nothing special in Nassau…I walked around the tourist shopping district for about an hour with my parents and then we returned to the ship to hang out by the pool…where, strangely enough, I met someone…who’da thunk on a Disney cruise! *lol*…rocked out that night! Was fun…the wedding was on Saturday on the beach in Castaway Cay (which is pronounced “key” – I had no idea)…it was a beautiful setting and a simple service…Afterward, we went back on the ship for champagne and cake…Then it was off to explore the island…I went parasailing and then had a cabana massage (my MT was *rough* - I think it was the most painful massage I’ve ever had, but evidently, I was full of knots)…the final night, we had a very late reception dinner (didn’t end until after 10 pm) in a special restaurant on the ship, where I ran into my friend again in passing, but we missed each other that night and I didn't see him again…drat!...Spent pretty much the entire day yesterday in transit and wiped out rather early last night. I am in no way ready to go back to work today. *lol*

I started to upload some pictures and will share a few when I get a chance.

Have a great Monday, cheetahs! :) :) :) BBL to get more caught up.

Hello ladies,

cathy-welcome back!! so nice to see you had a great time on your cruise.

shelly- how was did your 20 miler go?? re: the new KCM workout are the cardio intervals step??

i didn't get a chance to post yesterday. the weather outside was pretty nice so i spent the day outside with my boys:) i did workout however, i did my own legs and boy am i hurting today}( .

today's workout will be 30 mins of cardio ( i am hoping dm has this as a premix) if not i may try LIS. later on this afternoon i am doing 4DS C&B.

i will check back in later to see what everyone is up to. have a great day!!

okay, i've got the computere temporarily up. i went and charged it at a friend's but it doesn't hold a charge very long.

saturday, df and i watched football ALL DAY. that afternooon we went to a bar/pub to watch the last two games. FYI...eating chips, dip, wings, friench fries, and beer all day then deciding to go on a long run (i had planned on doing it this morning but just felt like doing it yesterday) the next afternoon was prbably not the smartest thing. ;) just as i got started (04:14 into my run) my mp3 died. i was not about to run without anything. so, i went back to see what was up. it just froze. it wouldn't do anything, wouldn't turn off, wouldn't play. kay...so i decided to make a wal mart run and buy a cheap one i could use. i actually found a really cool one. it's an rca and it's only 1 gig (but i was only going to use it for running). it's small and you wear it on your wrist. it also has a stopwatch and a BMI calculator. it was $50. so, i was set to go home and load it and go. i was still miffed about my good mp3 not working and couldn't understand why it was just frozen. so, i thought about times when my phone or computer has done that and i have had to take out the battery and reset it. i tried that and it worked. so, now i have to go return the other mp3. anyway, that whole ordeal took about two hours. i had had a half a fat flush wrap with PB&J at 9 am and by the time i got back, figured everything out, got ready again it was 1:45. i didn't want to waste anymre time so i just went out. didn't even map my route. well, it wasn't the best run. i did 10.3 (yay, Gped!!)miles (i had wanted to do 12 but had no idea what my pace was because i really wasn't paying attention) in 1:40. i had to walk the last half mile because i was tired. oh, did i mention that i specifically picked this route because it had lots of parks with water fountains? yeah...NONE OF THEM WERE WORKING!!! x(

anyway, sorry for the me, me, me post. i have to catch up on a whole weekend's worth of posts that i missed becuase of my stupid computer. i probably won't be able to do that until i get to work as my battery power is already low.

i missed you guys this weekend.

i will be back soon!!!

ETA: oh, another thing i forgot to mention...when you do butts and guts for the first time on friday, sunday may not be the BEST day for a long run. ooh, i had some bootie doms!!! i'm not sore at all today, so i am trying to decide on a w/o. i have decided i won't do any major leg w/o's until the race is over-turkey day. i may do upper body today. i haven't decided.

Good Morning Cheetah-Babes!:)

Cathy: Glad you had a good time on the cruise. So where was your friend from...did ya get or give digits perhaps?? ;-) }(

Sunny: Spending the day outside running around with your boys sounds like a work out in itself! LOL Glad you have some nice DOMS this morning. Enjoy it!}(

Lorie: Sorry about your mp3 issues. The first mp3 I got gave me problems from early on. I think it developed a short. It woul just stop playing w/o warning and there was no garuntee as to wether or not I could get it to play again or not. I spent alot of TM time NOT wired for sound at that time...UGH! I finally got annoyed and bought an IPOD. I bought the 1st generation nano though and got the smallest one they had (1 gig). Now with all of the Itrains I have, I am running out of room on it and have absolutely NO MUSIC on it AT ALL! I am going to ask for a bigger one for Christmas for sure!}( Glad your technical issues were solved easily and nice 10 mile run girl! So what did you think of B&G!? Do the leg blast premix next! It's the forum fave!}(

I am not quite sure what's on tap for today. No cardio but I can't decide if I want to do a lower or upper body split or full body today. I guess I can decide later. Either way, I am keeping my "iron free" promise!:)

BBL.

Good Morning Hot Cheetahs!!!!:) }(

Cathy** Your cruise sounded nice!!! Was the weather warm? I ran one time in Cuba and almost died! LOL The gym had no A/C which was weird and just a stupid fan. I think I managed to get through a 20 mins run. And that was my only exercise for that week. Glad your back:) safe and sound!!!

Lorie** Your bad lucks pouring over into this week! Ick!!!;) ;) JK! That happened to me the other day but I was far enough away from home that I couldn't go back. It wasn't to bad running with no music though and I got to concentrate on my breathing instead. My Ipod as never frozen up yet but it as happened to my sister a couple of times and DD as well.I think they did the same thing that you did.

Wendy** How was your weekend with DH? Preggo again?;) Maybe we should plan to have the next one together? We could share fattness along the way. I don't know when we will have another one. I was thinking about trying next summer again but it did take us 4 yrs to have him.And then there are somedays I don't want anymore but I think everyone as days like that.

Well, the weather seems to be a little bit better today. Its still wet but its warmer. Im crossing my fingers that DS and I will get out for a run. It looks pretty good all week actually. Im working tonight and tomorrow night then off till Fri. I hate day weekend shifts....I hate weekends period.
Im also thinking about calling the wally mart had having the kids christmas pics taken. The only thing is, I don't have anything new for them to wear. It would be easy to get something for DD but not DS, there is nothing arounnd here. I also think I want to wear brown on them cause his eyes are so dark.

Ill be back later gals!!

Lori:)

Monday Greetings :)

Welcome back Cathy :) Thank you for sharing the cruise experience. Between the friend you met, the massage, and the wedding ceremony, it sounded lovely. Did I tell you my niece is the head Art Auctioneer on a cruise ship? She is currently sailing out of the same port you were in and out of, but her departure days are Friday and Monday.

Sunny so you enjoyed the beautiful day yesterday!? We really have to take advantage of these days this time of year. One of my girl friends headed out for a run and was really enjoying the sun etc and went out 7+ miles before turning around, then she had to comeback! She does run distance, but has not run anything close to 14-15 miles in quite a while. I told her I was going to check on her today to be sure her legs haven't locked up on her.

Lorie You continue to have these unexpected events (computer and MP3) this time. But it sounds as though you take it all in stride ! I have done a long run with B&G DOMS. Lets just say I haven't made that mistake twice. The nonworking water fountains must have been a disappointment when you were planning on them.

Wendi Good news on the soon to be horse deals! Are you going to get any down time after all that?

Carole That is so special that you went to watch John! I am so glad to read that he is getting involved in activities, especially physical activities. And to have family who supports him makes it even better. What is being done about his bed sores?

Shelly How did you manage on your 20 miler?

Linda Nice going on your 8 miles plus :)

Christine thank you for the well wishes. Did you eat some great Indian food?

Our family weekend was full. We still had to contend with DS's hockey games in the middle of a family wedding. Our house guests were fun and I loved having my oldest two kids (22 & 20) home for the weekend! However, I got in no workouts except for 30 minutes of yoga on Saturday morning with DD. It was probably a good thing to rest any way.

I have been trying to figure out a rotation for the remainder of the year, keeping in mind that I am signed up for a spin class on Mondays, tennis on Tuesdays, and Pilates in Thursdays. I am keeping the weight sessions up to choice as far as what DVD to use, but am trying to plug in a set plan . Runs will be three days only: tempo or iTread, short and long/easy. Here is what I came up with:

M shoulders & spin class
T run (iTread or tempo), chest, back tennis
W 30 minute run
Th legs then pilates
F long run
Sa Biceps , Triceps and abs
Su rest

I do not think I like doing an Itread before tennis, so this needs more work.

Here is another option:
M shoulders, spin
T legs, biceps, triceps, tennis
W iTread run
T Chest, Back Pilates
F long run
S/Su 30 minute run/rest (1 day rest the other day run)

Edit to say Hello to Wendy and Lori!

Lori: Who said I'm havin' another baby cause I know **I** certainly did not say that!:p You want to have another one? Good for you! I don't. Perhaps I will change my mind but I've felt this way for a while now so I doubt it.

Judy: FWIW I like your 2nd option for a rotation plan.

Good morning cheetahs

Cathy...welcome back, we missed you!!..The cruise sounded wonderful. No exchanging numbers with the guy?? I think those rough massages can sure help the knots! Can't wait to see some cruise pics...About John, I am not sure how he feels about the accident now, it was just a fluke the way he landed as he was not going fast. I am sure he would like to have that day back..

Sunny..enjoy your cardio and 4DS workout, hope the legs feel better later.

Lorie..sorry about the mp3 player issues! I am the odd one out as I never run with anything in my ears! Good job on the 10.3 miles.

Lori...actually my nephew is having some depression, and is not dealing with the paralysis well. Which is why it was so nice to see him having fun last Sat. Good job with BM2 and the GS upper yesterday. Hope you and DS can get out for a run today. Pictures sound like fun for the kids.

Wendy..sounds like you 2 had a very nice weekend getaway. We missed you!! Good job with Lowmax blasts. Enjoy your iron free workout.

Judy...John told us how much he appreciated us being there...I am so glad DH went along too as he had not seen these guys play yet. He has been seeing a Doctor for the bedsores and is going again today. Sounded like a very nice family weekend. I think your 2nd posted rotation would be better so you are just doing weights before tennis.

Shelly...sounds fun firing off little cannons! Thanks for letting me know Amy's workout went better this time. Yes, this was so good for John, especially mentally. Glad you got your Montrails..I have ordered from that site before too.

Christine...I prefer high top shoes for aerobics. Yes it was great to see John so happy, thank you for your prayers...

Linda...I was so happy to go watch John and support the team. He is usually in a good mood when I see him which is during family functions. I know other days can be tough. I believe that is true with most parpalegics. My run yesterday was also a bit cold, high 40's. Have fun with 4DS.

The run was about 12.3 miles yesterday. It was cold and I came home and stood by the wood stove for I don't know how long!! Today will be Slo-mo SB&T, abs and a 4 mile run.

Have a Happy Veterans Day...:)

Good morning ladies! Today is supposed to be a beautiful day. I've made the decision to move my workouts to during my lunch time again. Too much going on at night for me to fit them in then on a consistent basis. Truth be told, I feel guilty taking the "me" time when I have so much other stuff to do. Anyway, today will be a PUB up on my own. I also started back on BFL. Last night I took photos and measurements. Let's just say it was not pretty. x( x(

Cathy & Wendy - WELCOME BACK! It sounds like you both had a wonderful time on your trips. Cathy, I can't wait to see pics.

Shelly - How did the 20 miler go? My goodness, I can't comprehend running that far, yet. ;)

Lorie - Sorry about your mp3 player woes. That happened to me once too. If I don't have music or some other distraction then my run doesn't go well. Glad you were able to get it working again.

WAVES to all Cheetahs! I hope to BBL.

Good morning ladies!!!

This will be a quick post because I have to get to work. I promise to be back tonight to catch up on personals.

I was fortunate enough to only have to work a half day today so I took full advantage of having this morning all to myself. I went out for a wonderful 6 mile run and followed that up with 4DS All Upper Body Premix. I had such a blast this morning!!! I had almost forgotten how much I missed my runs. The cold actually didn't bother me as much as I thought it would so I will definitely get back in the groove with that. Goodness knows I've got to get back on track...I've got a couple of pounds to lose by Sunday so I've got to get focused this week.

See you guys tonight!

Happy Veterans Day All!!

I’m ready to crawl back into bed for another few hours of sleep, but fortunately I only have work. :+ I did managed to get in 4DS Legs (no kick box, except the warm up) and I’ll C&B this afternoon. It did feel good to be moving once I managed to get off the chair. Last night was fun. The Cioppini was a hit (and extremely tasty!). But I need a weekend to recover from my weekend.

Cathy – Welcome back! We definitely missed you! Hope you’re all relaxed and feeling better about everything! Sounds like you had a great time! Did you get Mr. Hunk’s phone number at least?! I can’t wait to see the photos!! That massage sounds like my kind of massage. I want to feel like a limp noodle when I’m done!

Sunny – Sounds like a wonderful day yesterday! Nothing like spending the day with the kids. I’ll be thinking of you doing C&B while I am! :+

Lorie – Welcome back, too! Glad you have a temp computer! What WAS it with water fountains yesterday? I took Jimmy to the dog park, and the water fountain there was not working either! Weird. And, if you only asked, I think any one of us would recommend at least a 3 day wait after G&B for a run. :+ That one’s great for severe booty DOMS !!

Wendy – Enjoy your iron free day! How’s that going? Where is Baltimore did you stay? Did you visit the Inner Harbor? I was happy with one child. I was not a good pregnant woman. PMS for 9 months did not a happy camper make. :+

Lori – I did not know you were in Canada – yeah, you do get snow up there much earlier and more frequently. Hope you get in a good run! Have fun with the Christmas photos!

Judy – I did eat some good Indian food. Everything is home made and so much better than anything in a restaurant! You got into that spin clas? How fun! I think the second rotation would work better for you if you don’t like to run before tennis, but whatever works for you!

Carole – it was chilly yesterday and this morning – I worked out with the side garage door shut! I’ll bet that wood stove felt like heaven after your run!

Kristi – I absolutely understand about night workouts – I just don’t have the time or the wherewithal to do them either. Enjoy your lunch workouts. I love lunch workouts because they make me alert in the afternoon. Good luck on BFL!

Wendi – Sounds like a wonderful morning! You can take of a few pounds by Sunday (what’s happening on Sunday?). Good luck!

Hi to everyone who follows!!!

Good morning cheetahs,
My butt is screaming today after gs legs on Saturday. I have never had DOMS like this before. I have done the butts and gutts and Legs and glutes without ever having DOMS, but wow, GS legs really got me good. That really is an awesome workout. Last night I did Eoinn Finn's magically hip and it felt SOOOOO good.

Today I am going to do just a 3 mile run and Chest and back from 4DS. I need to go buy some 25's for that one.

Cathy, Welcome back!!!! It sounds like you had a great time. How was the food? Was it hard to be calorie conscious? I think I would just say forget it to watching what I eat on a cruise. Shoot, I do that in everyday life(LOL)!

Sunny, enjoy your drill mix premix. Love that workout!

Lorie, I also have to run with music. I hate it when you are in the groove and the dang mp3 goes out. I have had that happen to me so many times. That is the great thing about the treadmill, is you can just turn on the tv or stereo when that happens. I am right there with you with some DOMS in the bum. Sometimes the cardio after though loosens things up a bit;-)

Wendy, have you tried the full body from 4DS yet? I think I will try that this week sometime. Have a great workout!

Lori, hope you get your run in:)

Judy, your rotation looks great! I am also going to be adding in some new workouts. I am going to start going to the gym and adding the bike with the cardio coach programs. I have been doing way to much impact and am finding that my heartate gets up just as high with the bike and the elliptical and it is a lot less impact on my joints.

Carole, I am so impressed with your nephew. I can't even imagine going through what he went through and finding joy a happiness in my life again. What a strong person. That is great you are there for him to cheer him on. Sounds like a good run for you yesterday. It got to about 75 here yesterday. I am going to die when I go to Chicago at Xmas and get a real taste of what winter is;-)

Kristi, enjoy PUB. That is one of my favorite upper body dvd's. Don't sweat the measurements, just keep up with the good workouts!

Wendi, how was the upper body premix?

Christine, what a fun weekend you had with all that yummy food and festivities. My girlfriend from Lebanon had me over for a feast that her and her mother fixed and I tell ya there is nothing more flavorful that Indian food. It makes American food look and taste so bland. You are lucky enought to have that in your household on a daily basis;-)
BTW, you just made my little ones day with the bunny pics.

Well, ladies I am off to spend some time with my girls. I think we will go to the mall:)

Cheers!

Susan

Hey Cheetahs! Just back to report my workout. I ended up doing a 10 miler. Didn't intend to go that long and it started to rain as soon as I left the house so I thought I was gonna have to cut my run short. But the rain stopped and I did a long run. Now I need a nap:+

Wendy** Your not having anymore? Oh...thought you were. I don't know why. I knew that Joey was a good baby so I thought that maybe you were going to. Im not 100% sure either but we will see what happens. DH would like to have more but he isn't the one who as to carry them, bf'ed them, give birth to them and then lose baby weight.

Carole** Good job on the run yesterday! And another 4 miles today? Have fun! Yeah, I guess he would be a little depressed. Considering that it only happened a few short monthes ago there must be a lot of adjusting taking place.

Susan** You sound like you are in pain! LOL I love GS legs...I don't like leg work but if I had to pick Id do that one.

Kristi** Enjoy the BFL program. I love that one. It is tempting to try it again!

Christine** Yep in canada. Although, I think our weather and NY weather is alot alike.

Judy** Have fun trying to come up with a rotation...part of your week is already filled in for you!:+

Wendi** Good job with the workout!

Thats it from moi! Ill check back tonight!
Lori

:)

carple- glad to hear john is doing well.

lori- i like how you think, work hard and rest...lol

christine- i made a mistake i said i was doing C&B, however when i put in the workout i saw the premix was CS&T. so that's what i did.

judy- i really hope your friends legs haven't locked up on her. i love spending nice weather days outside with my boys!!

wendy- so what did you decide upon??!

kristi- good luck with BFL! it's hard taking "me" time after you've been at work all day. that's exactly why i started working out at home. after first ds, i felt so bad that he was in daycare all day and then i picked him up and put him in the daycare at the gym. so glad i found cathe!

susan- i am right there with the lower body DOMS!! enjoy. i love your name "the bickersons". you would think with having two boys i wouldn't have to deal with that...unfortunately i do. it will be interesting to see how they progress as they get older because they already started bickering and my youngest is only two.

wendi- how did you like the UB premix? so what's going on sunday..hmmmm. inquiring minds want to know, lol.

ladies i did the CS&T premix of 4DS and now my arms feel like they want to fall off...lmao}( :p

Hey Ladies.

No time for personals right now but I'll come back later to catch up.

I just finished BBC full body but I modified/changed the cardio based exercises b/c I wasn't looking for cardio today. I turned the flunges into regular alternating forward lunges and instead of mountain climbers and burpees I did extra ab work. I think those are the only ones I changed.

Anyway, now I gotta run. I'm jumpin' in the shower and then it's off to Target I go for a new vacuum. I finally got fed up enough with mine and threw it in the garbage can this afternoon!}(

Alrighty, I'm out of here...

BBL!:+

Sunny :: we are having mild temps here, too…Nice to be able to spend time outside in November. How cold does it typically get for you in the winter?

Lorie :: sorry about the snafus with the MP3 player and the non-functioning water fountains. Sometimes you just have one of those days. Hope today was better. I have not had a chance to go back and re-read what I missed since Thursday, either.

Wendy :: St. Louis…no on the digits…:( Nice workout.

Lori :: it wasn’t too bad that early in the morning and with half of the course on the shaded side of the ship…Great job on your 10 miler.

Judy :: no, I don’t believe you mentioned that. Which cruise line is your DN with?…Sounds like a busy and fun-filled weekend for you…the second rotation does look better to me, too. The first seemed a bit loaded on Monday.

Carole :: thanks! :) No, I know. Saturday night was a missed connection. Too bad…I don’t mind a little bit of pain when the knots are being worked on, but this was, at times, not pleasant. I don’t regret it, but it made me miss my MT!…Was wondering if John, at this point, blamed himself, the other driver, his luck in life (why me kind of thing) or if he wishes he didn’t survive. He is so young – I cannot imagine the kind of hell this has been for him.

Kristi :: good luck with BFL! Have you done the program before? What is it exactly? Thanks for the welcome back…I have so much admiration for how you working moms of the little ones manage to work out and still get all your other responsibilities done. You are superwomen, for sure!

Wendi :: great early morning w/out! What’s the occasion on Sunday?

Christine :: glad you enjoyed yourselves last night…thanks! :) …I do feel relaxed…though there is a board meeting tonight which I’m *very* curious to hear about…I was advised not to attend. Some very positive letters to the editor were submitted to one of the papers, so I am in a pretty good place about that stuff right now…I know, no digits! DOH!

Susan :: thank you!…I didn’t count calories or points or anything, but I wouldn’t say I went TOTALLY hog wild either. I guess I have learned better how to eat until I’m full and not just stuff my face b/c there’s all this good food around me…One night I even ordered from the lighter fare menu…and I only ordered dessert once. In terms of how the food was, everything I tried was delicious, which was true of the last cruise I went on, too. You just can’t go wrong.

Hi to Shelly, Linda, Jackie and anyone else I may be missing.

Today is normally stretch or yoga, but I am opting for rest. My last w/out was Friday, but I am feeling the post-vaca crash and have every intent of getting to bed at an early hour. I do want to fiddle with the pictures, though, so I may be back to post a link a bit later.

Christine...yes, the wood stove did feel like heaven yesterday. I so love wood heat and hope my DH will be able to get wood for a long time. I am not fond of the other types of stoves. We have rain today! Good job with 4DS legs and hope the C&B workout is fun. Love the bunny pic!

Susan...sorry about the screaming tushy!! I am impressed with my nephew too...I have no clue how I would react becoming paralyzed so young. Thank you, cheering him on is very important to me...:)...Oh My...Chicago could be very brisk in Dec...Hope the run and 4DS workout was fun...

Lori...way to go with the 10 miles!! I ended up doing 3 miles today...then 30 min on my Elliptical....it has been a little over a year for John's accident, it was in July of 2006. Like I posted to Susan...I cannot even imagine being paralyzed so young. I do think about John every time I run, and how much we take for granted...

Sunny..thanks re John...:)...sounds like you made 4DS CS&T a tough one today!

Wendy..good workout. I love buying new vacuums...

Cathy...I have had a bit of unpleasantness in massages before. Mostly from very sore areas...or the worst was when she rubbed out my piriformis...YEOW...but it needed to be done and it worked. Now though you know how much you like your own MT. I am sure John blames himself. I bet he has thought he'd be better off not surviving...:(..Not sure I ever explained what happened. There was not another driver, John was on a motorcycle and hit some gravel. He then lost control of the bike and went over the handlebars, flipping...he landed on his lower back HARD on a burm (kind of like a curb) That is what shattered L11, and L10 and L12 were also damaged. If he only would have landed elsewhere...I can only imagine the hell he goes through...which is why I love to see him joking and smiling like he was Sat...rest is good for you today! I hope the board meeting went well...:)

I ran 3 miles and did 30 min on my EXT. Mixing all that up with Slo-mo SBi's & T, plus abs from PUB. been decluttering my house and getting things back on the new floor...I am not even fighting with DH...:D

Good evening Cheetahs!

I didn't mean to leave you all hanging with the "Sunday" comment. The needed weight loss is due to the fact that I ate like $#!t for a week, didn't stick to my workouts and Aunt Flo stopped by for a visit...three strikes :p. I have to show again Sunday and when I put my breeches on Saturday, well, let's just say it wasn't a very pretty sight x(. Plus, it might be the first time my SO drops by to see me show and I really don't want to look like a stuffed sausage. Vain, I know...you can let me have it if you want :+.

Cathy - Welcome home!!! Please, please, please say you got your hottie's number! I'm so glad that you had an absolutely wonderful time. I only wish you didn't have to return home to that board meeting. TY regarding Bee (my pony)...I hope to get all the paperwork signed tomorrow, and hopefully a nice big check, too! Although, cash would suffice lol!

Sunny - I actually found the UB premix tough!!! I had to drop my weight slightly during the first 2 shoulder rounds because they were fried from the push-ups. I've always felt push-ups far more in my shoulders and feel very little in my chest...I can't figure out why. I also only got through half of the dips on the ball, again, because my shoulders were toast!

Lorie - Now I'm *convinced* that we're talking voodoo or someone has cast one heck of a spell on you lol! I'm sending all the positive {{{{{{{{{VIBES}}}}}}}} I can!!!

Wendy - I'm so glad you had a nice getaway with your DH. I love your idea about staying "iron free". I might have to try that at some point. It sounds like you had a great workout today! I hope you enjoy your "toy" from Target.

Lori - Great run today! I hope your shift tonight isn't too bad so you can possibly sneak in a little catnap.

Judy - You had quite the busy weekend! How wonderful to have your two oldest home!!! That's so cool about your niece. Unfortunately, this time of year doesn't allow for any downtime (or holidays for that matter)...in fact, the days get much longer. We'll be moving the "operation" to a barn with an indoor ring for the winter so that means late nights with the kids after school. It also means that we have to muck stalls because the guy who does them at home isn't about to drive 30 minutes one way to do it. It will be nice to have a few less on my riding list every day though.

Carole - How wonderful that you were able to attend John's games and be there to support him. He sounds like a very strong individual. He's lucky to have someone like you there to cheer him on. Great run in the cold yesterday! You sound like me...I actually stand on top of my heat vents when I get home from work at night :7.

Kristi - Good luck with BFL...I know Gayle (banslug) is very pleased with the results she has seen. Never feel guilty about your "me" time!!! You need to take care of yourself, first, before you can take care of anyone else.

Christine - All that talk of Cioppini made me hungry!!! Actually, you got me craving seafood...I picked up mussels and calamari to make for dinner tomorrow. I kind of stew them with tomatoes, white wine and a little feta (and lots of other tasty things)...I can't wait!! OMG that pic was too cute :+.

Susan - Enjoy those bootie DOMS!!! I know they're Lorie's favorites *lol*. As I told Sunny I found the UB premix tough because of the shoulder fatigue factor. I wish I could figure out how to take the load off my shoulders and work my chest. I've experimented with every hand placement under the sun and nada...oh well. I hope you had fun at the mall!

Alrighty, I've got to turn in. I want to get up early and get in some kind of KB mish mosh tomorrow morning. Have a great night everyone!
