Morning, cheetahs!
I’m back from the wedding cruise!! I did not have much downtime, so I was not able to peek in on the forums while away. But hey, I guess that’s how a vacation *should* be, huh? That said, I’m just going to read through yesterday’s posts and try to pick up from there…
Wendi :: sounds like your pony is about to be sold…fingers crossed it goes through. Hope you enjoyed a day of rest yesterday.
Carole :: thanks for the update on John…It is good that he has the basketball games to bring him some sense of fun and a physical release. How does he feel about the accident at this point?
Lori :: Funny, I do consider Sunday to be the end of the week now simply because that’s the way I’ve structured my rotations for a while now. What did you wind up with—snow or rain?
Shelly :: hope that last 20 miler before your mary was a good one. Glad you enjoyed yourselves at the party. How’s your DS & BIL doing?
Christine :: sounds like you enjoyed a fun & festive weekend of socializing and eating…good job squeezing in SB!
Wendy :: glad you and DH had a great time in Baltimore relaxing, taking in some sights, and enjoying some good food, drink, and music. Last time I was there, we took in an Orioles game and then started our pub crawl. It was fun. I’ve gotten really good hotel deals through hotwire.
Linda :: Great job with the 8 miles & C&B…thanks! It was a long day of travel yesterday. We had a 6:30 am breakfast on the ship and were deposited from the port to the airport by 9 am. Our flight wasn’t until 2:45, so it was a long wait. As much as I love travel, I hate the “getting there” part of it and waiting around. That was the longest I’ve ever waited when there wasn’t a delay or missed connection...BTW, have you gotten any Vegas pics up yet?
Hi to everyone else! Looks like it was a quiet day here yesterday.
I will try to go back at some point and read through some of the other threads…hope you all enjoyed your weekends. My mind is a complete blank when it comes to what I’d planned to teach today, so uhhh, I need to figure that out quick! *lol*
A short synopsis of the cruise…
…Had a great time…we boarded the ship around noontime on Thursday and sailed from Port Canaveral that night…Friday morning we docked in Nassau…I went to the fitness center at 6:30 am and used the EXT for 20 min., then ran 2 miles on the running deck...beautiful!...That was my only workout, though...nothing special in Nassau…I walked around the tourist shopping district for about an hour with my parents and then we returned to the ship to hang out by the pool…where, strangely enough, I met someone…who’da thunk on a Disney cruise! *lol*…rocked out that night! Was fun…the wedding was on Saturday on the beach in Castaway Cay (which is pronounced “key” – I had no idea)…it was a beautiful setting and a simple service…Afterward, we went back on the ship for champagne and cake…Then it was off to explore the island…I went parasailing and then had a cabana massage (my MT was *rough* - I think it was the most painful massage I’ve ever had, but evidently, I was full of knots)…the final night, we had a very late reception dinner (didn’t end until after 10 pm) in a special restaurant on the ship, where I ran into my friend again in passing, but we missed each other that night and I didn't see him again…drat!...Spent pretty much the entire day yesterday in transit and wiped out rather early last night. I am in no way ready to go back to work today. *lol*
I started to upload some pictures and will share a few when I get a chance.
Have a great Monday, cheetahs!
BBL to get more caught up.
