::: CHEETAHS ::: aka #1 Enablers...Wed.

Afternoon Ladies!

I almost said, "Morning!" Where does the day go!??!? :( Well, I **think** I made up for missing y-day. I did 4D-Kbox (no c/d) and then KPC (no w/u) -Cardio Conditioning premix. That brought me to just under an hour with over 400 calories burned. For the weight part I did GSL standing portion only, then a good 20 minute stretch. I was trying to find my Magically Hips DVD, and then realized it was in my bedroom.....all the way upstairs. My legs felt like jello....ha ha! So, I did my favorite stretches I could remember.

Marcia ~ Happy Birthday!!! Enjoy your day!

Shelly ~ Luckily she didn't have a sinus infection. He did say to bring her back in if I see a change for the worse though. Well, you're certainly going to be all tuned up aren't you! Mammo, dentist, anything else? ;-) Your workouts sound good!

Christine ~ LOL! that the Quickie was too quick!! ha ha! :7 Have fun with your "working" workout! :D That's a funny picture. :) OK, what's the Kettlebell Goddess workout? (Cathy, good title today. ha!)

Jackie ~ Dh thought the roof was going to blow off last night. He said he hardly slept. I said, "Yeah, me too." He just gave me a look and told me I was snoring all night. LOL! Glad you're feeling better. Good for you for balancing that workout out! I might have thrown in the towel...esp with the Jefferson Squats. ha ha!

Sunny ~ Oh no! Another thing to add to the growing list!!! ;-) Let us know if you think it's worth it. Is it supposed to make push ups easier?

Carole ~ That is funny what you said during the race!! :7 Love the snow pictures. I probably should be taking some too, but it's too darn cold out there!

Wendy ~ Glad you're enjoying the TJ's. Yep, she's definitely perky!

Lori ~ Love your Avatar. You've been working it!! }(

Kristi ~ I give you so much credit for working all day, coming home and taking care of the family, AND still getting your workouts done! You're doing an awesome job!

Judy ~ Does running an easy run help with the DOMS the next day? I've heard that before....I may have to do that tomorrow. GSL may have gotten me good today. }(

Cathy ~ Oh I know exactly what you're saying about the older kids. In fact last year I started my Master's because I wanted to be certified K-12. I do enjoy being in my kid's classrooms to help out frequently. Anyway, I finished out the first class, but had a health scare that made me put it on hold. :( All is well now. Way to go on the last observation!!!! What a relief for you!! :) Have fun with your workout later.

Hi Lorie, Wendi, Posh, Linda and any other Cheetahs out there!

~TTFN

Oh, I'm having fun with the Sneaky Chef cookbook. My son is eating veggies and has no clue!!! Yeah!! Every little bit counts, right?!?!

ETA: Thanks for the well wished for dd. She's definitely feeling better today. :) Had to fix lots of typos too. :(

Dallas

"Nothing should be jiggling unless it's jiggling off." ~ Cathe HSC

I just finished Cardio Party with the weighted gloves. My shoulders are on fire! Awesome work out!

I'll be back...:)

Shelly – we are horrible, aren’t we? It’s fun! My sister actually has a house in West Chester which is outside of Philly and about an hour to an hour and a half to Chambersburg. I think we should plan a GTG at Cathe’s studio for one of her classes – that would be a blast (Maybe literally!). We’re not floating yet – we get a reprieve today – it will rain tomorrow and Saturday (no hike or wet hike for us, then). Glad you got a chuckle out of the aromatherapy kitty. I so totally relate – certain smells just make me happy – the smell of fresh brewed coffee is one, even though I rarely drink coffee any more.

Dallas – WOW! You got one heck of a workout in there!! Lol at the Sneaky Chef cookbook. Yes, every little bit counts. I drill into DD15’s head that she needs her fruits and veggies. She’s doing pretty well. You can get more info on the Kettlebell Goddess workout here - http://www.dragondoor.com/dv040.html . It does come highly recommended on the VF forum, and I like the way it’s broken down. Figured I’d try it. :p Did I enable you? Tit for tat you know. :+

Well, it’s close to time to head home for my working workout! I’m sooo not busy today that I’ll just love the computer by my while I workout and if I get an email or IM I’ll answer. Good thing weight work is better with rests in between. :p

Wendy - Cardio Party is a fun one, I love it!!! I've never used the weighted gloves with it though, I'll have to try it.

Marcia.

Happy Enabler’s Day, Cheetahs!...lol

Yeah, later on I’m heading to Target to check out more weight plates and a rack for them. Then to K-mart to see if they got any 25 pd dumbbells in. I must admit, I looked up Kettlebells online “just to see” and then talked myself off the ledge. All it took was the image of DH’s face when I waltzed through the door with those dang things and another vid for them!…lol. Anyhoo, my apologies for being MIA a few days, but I was very busy at work with all the transfer stuff going on and then yesterday, after a couple of hours of snow, we were sent home. I had a real fun time driving home the long way (curvy 174 was a mess) on Hwy 49 because a large amount of Californians do not know how to drive in a few inches of snow..and it kept falling…so there were numerous accidents etc... Here’s a pic of our picnic table on campus yesterday just before they closed the campus. My kids’ HS finally called it after 2 hours as well (they waited til 10 am so they get paid) but thankfully DD drove home fine with DS and the neighbor boy. When I finally got home yesterday, we got about the same amount of snow later on. Then I was busy with my family and my SIL last evening so I didn’t get a chance to post. Today, low and behold, I had a snow day! Even though it fizzled out, we were supposed to get some more this morning so in Nevada County all schools closed and this is why the college went ahead and closed as well. Sooooo, after a very long 3.5 hour nap and putzing around, I am going to get my workout in, a little cleanmax, and then down to Target and Kmart to “buy” stuff. I feel a bit shopping deprived this week so a Posh Cheetah must do what a Posh Cheetah must do! - SHOP!! lol..

Snow at work yesterday taken on my Blackberry – I know the East Coast Cheetahs will think, “you call that snow?” …lol…but just up the road we get a heck of a lot more than this…

Be back with some personals …… :7

Cathy – I bet you are a FABULOUS teacher! You remind me of my kids’ 8th grade SS teacher that was very hip with the kids but also didn’t take any crap either. They absolutely loved her and respected her and will still go back to visit her at the middle school on open house nights etc. They call her “Sigenfuse”…her last name…lol. Good teacher’s like ya’ll leave a lifetime impression on kids so thanks for being such a goodie…

Lorie – Glad you enjoyed the yoga. But good job enabling me now! Did you get rid of the second DVD copy yet? I may be interested in it now…lol. Afterall, it’s been almost a week since I bought anything…

Wendi – Dear, dear Wendi, still having issues with the bosshole? lol… Good job on your running! I know what you mean about friends that take you on so-called mild rolling hills and they turn out to be like going up the face of Half-dome in Yosemite or something…lol…

Marcia – HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!! Welcome back! I recommend Itrain itreads over CC any day, Grace is absolutely the besteesttessstt…and I recommend the ipod nano – very lightweight and you can easily catalogue your music and itrains on these. Have a fun and enjoy your special day!!

Lori – DOH! Sorry about DH’s truck! I hope all works out well. BTW, you look MAAHHVELOUS! Youz guys keep me so inspired!

Judy – Glad your dad is feeling better – So wonderful of you to take in Waldo and make him part of your family. I posted a reply to your chef dinner I think it was on the Sat thread……funny story about my “experience” with Joseph Phelps Insignia….lol

Kristi – SUPER MOM!! Glad you are having a better week! Have fun with the hill run! Dontcha just love the itreads?

Wendy- awe shucks, all this talk about crashing the RT and east coast Cheetah GTG’s…Us west coast cheetahs will have to organize and crash the east coast cheetah GTG…lol

Christine – Congrats on the extra earnings! See? you should buy both! the BOSU AND kettlebells! A Posh Cheetah’s recommendation for shopping will always be buy it all! LOL….Also good job with your running goal!!! LOVED the aromatherapy cat! Here’s my all-time favorite – California Drivers....

301519111.jpg

Carole – Sadie is so cute! My dog always tears out and jumps all over the snow. She loves to go after snowballs too! Too funny about DH and the bribe…lol. I still have to get over and get the book but when I do, I’m thinking it won’t be too difficult to get my DH to do some of the exercises as he as recently complained to me about his body hurting….Also, your marathon mantra for Tahoe is the funniest ever! LOL

Sunny – LOL – you got enabled by the O/D board! I also considered them but since I can hardly do pushups maybe I should wait…. enjoy your hectic day!

Jackie – I must have missed (as I’ve been mia) why you have antibiotics but glad you are feeling better anyway! Good workouts – I notice ya’ll tolerate other instructors pretty well – I’m not so good that way. If I don’t really like em’ much, I don’t use the DVD anymore…maybe I need to go through and post some things on Ebay…lol

Shelly – I can feel your excitement about relocating! You’re so lucky to be able to be closer to the east coast cheetahs. Um, be warned though, what’s left of us west coast cheetahs will organize and crash the east coast cheetah GTG…it could happen..lol. Are you going to look for a similar nursing job in PA? I bet you wouldn’t have any troubles and get snatched up in a minute. Crazy Cheetah is right…I just read about your runs and workouts and get real tired….lol

Dallas – Great workouts! Funny about your sneaky chef cookbook – I used to make my kids soup but used very finely chopped collard greens and other cooked veggies then pureed it and put into the soup base and they had no idea of how many veggies they were eating. Nowadays, I struggle more with my teens to eat a little better. They eat well at home but out with friends it is In and Out burger, Taco Bell, McDonald’s….you get the idea…

ok, hope I didn’t miss anyone!

Have a great rest of the day friends!!

Thomasina…

Cathy – The fact that middle schoolers missed you means you are one terrific teacher. I bet them saying that made your day. What a nice way to start your day! BTW, I love the thread title. We are quite an enabling bunch of ladies.

Carole – I actually like Slo-Mo legs. I love the new innovative exercises for the legs. However, the new to me UB exercises are not targeting the areas they should be when I am doing them. I am probably doing them wrong. I’m even doing them with lighter weights. I’ve only done them a couple times and not the whole way through so I might still change my mind after I get a chance to try each body part on the DVD in its entirety.

Sunny – Enjoy your new toy. I might be buying them after I try out P90X+.

Jackie – I’m so glad you are feeling better today. Your workout today is a good one. I never realized Amy missed a side while doing the Jefferson squats. I’ll need to pay attention to that next time.

Shelly – Wow you did all of that this morning! Your cheetah name suites you. LOL

Dallas – You are too sweet. What a nice thing to say! I don’t think it is anything special. I just try to fit in my workout time whenever I can. My DH is also really good about letting me have my “me” time. DS actually likes for me to run on the treadmill when I put him and DD to bed. He wishes I would run louder. LOL He is a little afraid of the dark, even though him and DD share a bedroom together for the time being. I’m glad your DD is feeling better.

Well, my work day is over. I need to head out the door to pick up the kids. I might BBL, but then again I might not since I will be running on the treadmill tonight. WAVES to all my cheetah friends.

Thomasina - I'm so bad that I'm considering both - or at least just get ONE more kettlebell and one Kettlebell DVD AND the BOSU. I'll wait 'til tomorrow to see what I actually get in the check. I'm even worse because I cancelled lunch with my coworkers to buy stuff tomorrow! If I can give DH (he pays the bills, so I give him money - I pay the groceries and for incidentals like Jimmy's Doggie Day Care) a good amount, then I won't feel so bad about over indulging. :) LOVE, LOVE your photo! I'm constantly telling other drivers, "Buddy, turn signals are NOT optional equipment!". My DD15 laughs at me. I've lived all over the US and every place has it's share of bad drivers (New Mexicans seem to consistantly use their left blinker to cross from the far left lane to the far right lane - it's the weirdest thing!) but California is truly the land of the Fruits and Nuts - especially when it comes to driving. Even Washington DC does not hold a candle.

Okay - I need to get busy- haven't managed to workout yet - DH is here, but he'll be gone soon.

another quickie post as i am waiting for a client to arrive any minute.

i just finished total bodyX+ (no time for abs, againx( ) and must say i really, really like this set so far i've enjoyed all of the workouts!! tony really knows how to work a body with fresh, innovative moves.

wendy- i don't know, i may just join you after all for X+!!

christine- i used the PP and i like them so far not in love with them. they are easier are your joints but actually IMO make the push even harder. A plus for progression!! BTW- i ordered AOS providence (kettlebell workout) and am seriously considering the goddess also.

kristi- you will love the new X set!

dallas- it made them tougher in a good way!

sorry no more time, hello to all of you cheetah babes:D :7

Slow day at work, can you tell? I finished Slo Mo Chest and Arms and oh my am I shaking! I matched her on all of her weights and went heavier on some (she's strong in the legs, but I can match her upper body). I got to the skull crushers and my arms were shaking so badly I thought I'd drop the dumbbell! But it was fun!

Kristi - there are several of her exercises that if you are not doing them exactly right, you don't really feel them - like the bicep bonfire. Keep trying - but you're right - I love her legs. I'm not too sore today, but I can tell I got a good leg workout in yesterday - that's the kind of DOMS I like.

Sunny - Oh man! I want AOS, but it's so expensive! I'm jealous! I still have to have $$ to preorder STS! I'm also thinking of X+. I guess I could stop buying groceries for a few weeks. :p Thanks for the info on the PP.

Hey there! We had such horrible wind last night! There were 52 mph winds, but it sounded so “pretty” in the middle of the night and made it seem cozy inside! But my, goodness....there were lots of downed powerlines and a lot of damage!

Cathy – If ya change your mind about the DVD, just let me know! But truly, I am not enabling! LOL…seriously! Cause…....I haven’t even done one single KB workout, yet! I just feel silly for even buying them! Crazy, huh? Hope ya enjoyed your workout!

Lorie – That is wonderful that you slept so well after the yoga! I really like that Yoga workout, but for some unknown reason…I have the hardest time making me do yoga. Enjoy your workout!

Wendi – Sorry you felt out of sorts this morning! Hope you had a good rest day! It sound like you were exhausted! I know…that is what I was thinking…”here I don’t want to go upstairs to get on the bike, but want to run all of these miles” Nuts, huh? 

Marsha – Hey there! Good to see you! Glad you like your treadmill!

Lori – Good job on your workout! The pictures are great! Your little boy is sooo cute and you are in awesome shape! I hope you’re right about them not kicking me out of here! ;) Seems like I can get here for a stretch and then ….poof…nothing for a while 

Judy – LOL…I know what you mean about the lower body DOMS! When I was doing more running, I kind of cut back on lower body and the past month or so, I have been trying to do more. Over the weekend I did Ripped 1000 and I have been sooo sore in the legs and butt ever since! Glad Waldo is settling in and that your dad is doing better!

Kristi – Hope you enjoyed your hill run! I always mix up the numbers on my iTreads, too! I just click away until I find one that I like and use it ;)

Wendy – Yes maam! I thought about my TJ’s all day today! I remember those little suckers worked my core so well, along with AbJam! Glad you enjoyed CP with the gloves! You are so much better than me at sticking to P90X and X+!!!!! I always get lured away by my other workouts!

Christine – Hey! I like “Happy Cheetah!” That would be good!  So….how do I get the pretty little glittery thingeys on my posts??? That heavy kettlebell really is handy for me with traditional type plie squats, sumo’s, etc! You would probably really like it for that! LOL…Now…if I would just use it for some actual KB workouts, too! Great job reaching your goal! Love the kitty picture!

Carole – The snow is so pretty! I don’t know why I love snow, rain, wind, storms….)as long as everyone is safe and out of harms way!! )
I always liked Vol 1 the best. Now, I only do the floorwork, though. LOL..I will have to remember the “Mind over matter” remark the next time I run a race!

Sunny – I have been wanting to get the Perfect Pushups! I am confused, though, because at Dicks they have some for $59.99, $39.00 and I have seen them in ads for $19.99. do you know what the differences are? Do you like them?

Jackie – I am glad you feel better today! Yes, it is probably good that you were unable to do cardio today! Those infections are no fun! Thanks for understanding about my “irregular” visits lately! I am glad I am not the only one that does the bike on the ellip! 

Shelly – Yay!!! That is great!! You can run the Charleston Distance Run with me and the Marshall Marathon and, and, and…..LOL (but those are a couple of hours away from the Gauley and New River runs). My DH is aways going down the New River! But he takes guided fishing trips, etc. He doesn’t go down the Gauley….it is a little wild for him! ;) If you ski, you can go to Snowshoe, Canaan Valley. I really think you would love a lot of the outdoors activities we have to offer! I really hope we can meet up sometime!

Dallas – Great job on your workout! I am glad DD is feeling better! I know what you mean about the day getting away from you!

Posh – we used to get a lot of snow here, but we hardly ever get any more than an inch or two anymore. I don’t understand it!! The picture is beautiful! LOL about your DH’s face seeing the KB’s! Probably like my DH’s when I got mine! He kept saying, why can’t you just use dumbbell? What is the difference! Oh dear!

This morning I did the All Upper Body premix of 4DS and ran 4 miles.

Hope everyone has a good night!

Linda

i apologize in advance for not doing personals. i am positively exhausted. i think it has to do with AF. i got it for one day 20 days ago (exactly on schedule) then it disappeared and i got it last night. WTF?!?!?!?!?!

i ended up doing bosu blast this morning and a bit of kickmax (about 15 minutes). then, i did about 15 minutes of yoga before i really had to go.

anyway, i just got done doing the whole yoga for happiness dvd again. i am amazed at how much it relaxes me. hopefully, i'll slep again like i did last night. wow...maybe eoin is the new ambien!

i am going to cuddle up in bed and hopefully fall asleep soon. kishies to you all!!!

Hello Everyone! I’m back and finished with my wo. However it didn’t go as planned. I began with itread 5 – 60 min because it has killer hills in it. My armband for my mp3 player is hard to fasten and make tight enough to keep from moving. I decided when it started to fall to take it off and place it on the arm of the treadmill. Bad idea. The electrical interference from the treadmill turned it off twice. I was so frustrated. So I had to go the hills alone. Its all good though. I ran 3.5 miles of hard hills.

Christine – You are right. I will keep trying Amy’s exercises and see if I can do them the way they are supposed to be completed with good form.

Linda – It sounds like you got the same storm we had early last night. The winds were very strong, 50 mph here too. I love your happy cheetah nickname. It suits you.

Sunny – I’m soooo excited to try X+. I’m sure I won’t be able to do many of the exercises but I love owning something that gives me a challenge.

Well, I need to make my lunch and snacks for tomorrow. I’ll see you all in the morning.
