Check-in July 26th

Cathlete
Hi ladies. No workout for me yesterday, was hoping to do one this AM,...but I have some brown vaginal discharge with my AM bowel movement,...so I"m holding off. I have been soooooo stressed lately, I hope my body isn't trying to lose the baby. I"m sure it's just old---as it was brown discharge.

The "interview" was strange. He couldn't answer all my questions about benefits, short-term disability, and 401K. Then the guy asked me if I wanted the job. I'm not sure, so recruiter will call me at work on Monday.

Will check back later and see how everyone is doing. Seems like everyone is doing really well. When is Kate going to see Cathe? I'd love to do that someday. :)

Morning!
Melanie-sorry for the job stress. Hopefully your questions will be answered on Monday. Im sure the spotting is nothing. Didnt you do this will all your pregnancies? Take it easy today!
I bet Kate will be working out with Cathe today. Cool!
I just did Tracey's TM workout with 1lb weights. Felt good to sweat! I plan to do PP tomorrow with 5-10 lbs and see how that feels.
DH is doing outside stuff this morning then we're going to swim and grill out later. AF is still hanging around, but should be gone in a couple of days. Feels good to get back on track!
Hi to everyone!

Spotting

I had spotting during first two pregnancies---both around 7-8 weeks (implentation) bleeding. I'm a bit more concerned b/c I'm much farther along now. I won't begin to really worry unless I get cramping or red blood.

Anyone else have spotting in 2nd trimester?

I know that someone mentioned to me that they had heavy spotting throughout their pregnancy. I can't remember who though.

No one vomited--hurray! And the neighbors were quiet, so I got good sleep--hurray! But the toiled is clogged--minor bummer, because I can't seem to fix it and if anyone flushes it, well......

I can't wait to see ds13. First he had his 15 mile back pack trip, was home for the weekend, then he had wrestling camp (a day camp, but they had him for 12 hours per day, so we barely saw him), was home for 1 day and went off to scout camp for a week. It will be good to have him back. He's been scarce for 2 1/2 weeks. He'll be 14 in a couple of weeks. I can't believe it--it's gone so fast.

I got lots done school-wise. Making lists and then checking off as I go helps me not to feel so overwhelmed. Having it all float around in my head is too much.

Melanie--(((hugs))) and prayers. I don't want to preach at you, just try to rest in the One who sees the bigger picture and who holds tomorrow. As one who struggles with worry and stress on a regular basis, I certainly need to take my own advice as well. Cast all your anxieties on Him, for He cares for you (1Peter5:something--can't remember the exact verse). Do you have "real life" support?

Susan--hurray on the permission to lift--let us know how it goes. I'm not sure if I'm a fun mom or a lazy one--I just want to keep the barbarian hordes happy when dh is away :p .

Mikki--Bummer on the inlaws and their picky and expensive eating habits. No carbs at all? Life would not be worth living. At least steak is easy (but you are right, expensive--ugh).

Stephanie--yes, I home school and it is a full time job on top of everything else, but I really enjoy it about 80% of the time (15% of the time, I'm just doing it and 5% of the time I'm wondering, "What the heck am I doing this for? I must be insane! :p ) Regarding your son and his attitude--there is always something to work on isn't there? At least there is in our family (my own attitude included). But one of the blessings of being an involved parent is that you are there to work through this with him.

Hi Kate! Hi Candra! Hi Trish! Hi Lisa! Hi JenM! Hi Jen! Hi Anne! Hi Morris! Hi Kristan!

36 weeks, 5 days

Hi all.

Melanie- I spotted to varying degrees with all 4 pregnancies. Bright red, brown, heavy, light, 6 weeks, 12 weeks, etc. I'm sure it's nothing.

Maggie- there's a whole lotta love in the house for mimi. It's hard to harness the affection offered by Gus, 2 1/2 years old. What type of "privileges" do you let your older kids have with the baby? I'm not sure how much "handling" of the baby to allow my almost 8 and 6 yo. The only rules so far are that no one messes with a sleeping baby and no one takes Mimi on the stairs. I need to set some boundaries!

Susan- I am with you on the weights. No barbells for me for another couple of weeks, but I can use 5 or 10 pound handweights.

I've been doing something "active" everyday, but usually just walking. Plan to do Janis Saffelll "brand new butt" sculpt tomorrow- it's 3 pound weights and bands.

Hi all. Morning is gone, but I did workout this am that makes 4 days in a row(I am so patting myself on the back:D)I did all 4 4ds. It feels so good to be able to do that. I think the first trimester is now history and I actually feel like me. I am so sorry for all of the complaining of the past few months! Visitors are here, so the house is crazy loud.
Melanie-I had brown discharge with both of mine in 3 trimester mainly. I think you are good. Just a question, is Kmart your only work option at this point? Is there anywhere else for you to get a good job? Hospital or anything? I just pray everything works out for you, you deserve it.
Kristan-I just love Mimi's name. So cute. I think it is wise to set boudaries with the kids and baby. I am just thinking about it for our situation, ours are 4 and 7. The no steps policy is so smart, I wouldn't have remembered to add it.
Maggie-You are amazing in all that you do with your kids and school. I wish I could homeschool. Enjoy time with your big guy, they really grow up fast!
Susan-So glad about your workout, it does feel better to get back to normal. Your xray avatar is amazing. You are one tough chick!

Hi,
Thanks for all your kind words about that unkind OB! She stinks, and I don't think she ever had kids, so I hope she gains 100 pounds when she does (and then holds onto all of it after the baby is born). O.K., o.k....I'm calmer now.
Yesterday, I didn't exercise, but today I did Slim & Lean before sending it back to Netflix. I will have to check out Marshall's where Stephanie said they were a good price.
My DH is having a poker game here tonight, and I am going to my neighbor's daughter's 7th b-day party with DS, so that should be fun. Now, coming home to a house filled with stinky guys playing poker is another story.
How do you get the smileys in your message? I can't figure that out.
Melanie-I am sure spotting is nothing. It's easy to say when it's not happening, but I know plenty of people that had that happen all throughout their pregnancies. At least you have the weekend to think about working for K-Mart. Hopefully, they can answer some more of your ?'s on Monday. Hang in there!

Susan-Hope AF goes packing already!!! Did you get any TJs yet?

Kristan-You and Morris are such an inspiration to me. I am scheduled to get my 2nd C-Section, and you two are such motivation for me to get back to working out as soon as I can.

Maggie-I have so much to do for this school year too. It sounds like you do an awesome job of homeschooling. My neighbor's daughter is a teacher for a cyber charter school in PA, and she loves it. One of my students left to do that at home last year (I had a complex, but I got over it). Is that an option for you? You can still be in charge at home, yet some of the burden is taken off of you. I have no clue about them, as they are up and coming in PA. Hope your toilet is working-that can become very nasty very quickly! I remember being at college parties where the toilets were all blocked up and overflowing. I always thought, "Gee, am I glad this is not my house/apt"!

I am sorry, but my mind went blank and I can't remember who else posted. I will BBL if I get a chance. I am off to clean, and maybe back to target where I saw these awesome curtains for DS's room.

Hey Ladies!
Hope everyone has had a nice day. We worked aroud the house..well dh did..and we hung out in the pool and we got haley dd's water slide so she had a blast. I let her take a "shower" outside in the hose and you would of thought it was Christmas. She said that was the best thing ever.
Melanie-how are things going? I pray the spotting has stopped!!
Hi Maggie-I know you are excited about seeing your ds!!
Hi Jen-no, I havent gotten any TJs yet. I can't decide which to try.
Hi Mikkia-Good for you on the workouts!! What grade do you teach? I forgot. Teachers amaze me...and you do NOT get paid enough for what you do...we need all the good teachers we can get!
Hi Kristin!!
