Hi Everyone! Hope you don't mind me starting the check-in a bit early. I have a crazy weekend coming up and figured I'd better get it posted now or I never would. My DH came home yesterday and said, WE ARE GOING TO FLORIDA on Monday!! We are driving and are going to make a few stops along the way to break up the trip. Thank goodness, as this body really rebels to sitting still! ;-) I am sooo excited because I will see both of my sisters. It will be a FUN time as the last 3 times I have seen them were for deaths in our family. We are planning to have a "SISTER" photo taken while I am there. Oh boy!!! Another thing that will make the trip special is that the day we get down there will mark the 23rd. anniverasry of my Mom's death in an auto accident so it will be nice to be together. Sorry for getting totally off subject here. Onto my week of workouts!

MONDAY~S&H-CHEST & BACK, Taught a Hi/Lo class

TUESDAY~Taught a Hi/Lo class, S&H-TRICEPS & BICEPS

WEDNESDAY~S&H-LEGS & SHOULDERS, spin with Jay Blahnik, 35 minutes

THURSDAY~Taught 2 Hi/Lo classes, my last day of Winter Session. I love my breaks. Usually, I go crazy with all my Cathe tapes but since we will be traveling LOTS, doesn't look like that will happen! :-( I start my Spring Session the week of April 8th.

FRIDAY~IMax! I think this has got to be my very fav Cathe tape and I was sooo excited to hear that she may be coming out with an IMax2!!!! WooHoo! :-jumpy

SATURDAY~I think am going to do PowerHour & CardioKicks. Want to get a rough & tough workout in before we leave.

SUNDAY~Usually my day of rest, but I may do some cardio to make up for possibly (more then likely) missing a day here & there. I plan to try to jog while down in Florida and since we are driving (DH doesn't know this yet!) I may even take one of my barbells or bodybar along!!! Tee-Hee!! Sure couldn't do that on a plane!

Well, everyone, have a great week and a wonderful Easter! I may be able to check in a few more times before we leave Monday but I will miss you all and will look forward to catching up when we get back. :7

Hey Debbie, I'll join your early checkin. You know I can't imagine you having a hard time sitting still. Yeah right!!!! I hope you really enjoy your trip and your visit with your sisters.

Hey everybody. This week has had its ups and downs. You know last weekend I had a temperature and was really achy. Sunday and Monday I was a little tired but felt better. I thought....it's over. NOT! I now only have a low grade temp but my throat has been killing me since Thursday. I haven't slept well because every time I swallow it wakes me up. Even stuff that I usually take to knock me out at night when I have a bad headache didn't do the trick. I have not had a sore throat in probably better than 10 years. Oh well, I will survive....I hope!

My week was not the best but I did get in some tough workouts in between my sickiness.

MONDAY: 30 minutes of light yard work. It was good to get out.
20 minutes of stretching.

TUESDAY: 2 hours of yard work
Oops....forgot to stretch

WEDNESDAY: CTX 10-10-10 (cardio)
Power Hour

THURSDAY: BFRD Could not seem to fit it in today

FRIDAY: Body Max I know, I know. I should have rested
15 minutes of stretching

SATURDAY: BFRD....and I do mean BIG.

I'm thinking about joining a local gym that my brother just joined. He is wanting to get back into shape (thank goodness). I am going with him Monday to check it out and hopefully I will feel well enough to actually use some of the equipment. That have step, kickboxing, yoga and bootcamp classes. I might have to check a step class out. Anyway, I probably won't end up joining but you never know.

Looking forward to reading everyone else's week!

Debbie: Have a wonderful time in Florida!

Kelly: Hope you're feeling better. I had that nasty cold/flu thing about 2 weeks ago and now I can't get rid of this stupid eye allergy thing I have. Ugh...

Hollie: Some tough workouts there, girl!

As for me, mine were pretty good. Ever since I had this "flu" thing a few weeks ago, I have this thing called "blepharitis". It's not conjunctivitis, rather it's an infection of the eyelids. I have gone to the doctor, he gave me some ointment, but the damn thing keeps coming back! It's so frustrating! I did some reading on the internet that sometimes blepharitis can be a chronic condition and could take 6-9 months to heal! AARRGGHH....

Anyway, puffy eyelids and all, I still got in my workouts!

Monday: CTX Shoulders & Biceps/Abs

Tuesday: S&H Back/S&H Triceps

Wednesday: CTX 101010 and Intervals from Step & Intervals/Abs

Thursday: S&H Chest

Friday: Rest Day

Saturday: Leaner Legs/Abs/27 min on Stairmaster

Sunday: I plan on doing the upper body portion of Power Hour today and maybe some time on the Stairmaster. We'll see...

Hope everyone has a good week!

Terri

TUES: yoga a.m., legs and bi's p.m.

WED: 10-10-10 a.m., chest and tri's afternoon, bodymax p.m.

THURS: REST

Aimee

I hope you get to feeling better Kelly! Have fun at the gym!

Here's my week:

Sun. 30 min. jog...was much too cold for this and I had a scratchy throat the next day. Now I'll probably be too much of a wimp to go out till it's HOT!

Mon. Taught hi/lo

Tue. rest, but I got sponsored for my 5K in May :)

Wed. Body Max upper body, taught hi/lo

Thu. Runervals 1.0, StepFit stretch

Fri. Started Circuit Max and couldn't get into it, so I put in Gay's strength from 2104 and couldn't get into that. So a little bit of strength and little bit of cardio! But, that night we went out to dinner and our pathetic little town couldn't even serve us! We went to two places. One had no tables forever, and the other had a table we cleaned off ourselves, and then didn't get served so left after 20 minutes. Okay, you didn't care about that, but since we couldn't eat we went to the new second hand store and they had a full size step in a bag. I thought for sure she'd want a lot for it, but nope, only $10! I got it home and looked at it, and it's brand new! I have no idea why, but I was so jazzed about this.

Sat. long day in Vegas, but I got a flexball and played around on it when we got home. My husband had other ideas for it ;-)

Andrea

Terri--I know all about blepharitis. It is pretty darn stubborn. I'll send you an e-mail with the details.

Aimee--I'm tired just looking at your week! You go, girl!

I went ahead with some more triathlon base training, even though it's going to get interrupted with this surgery later this week. Not a huge deal, but I'll need to take it easy for a couple of weeks afterwards.

MONDAY: CTX Back, Chest, & Shoulders; spinning class
TUESDAY: Private Gyrotonics session (similar to Pilates)
WEDNESDAY: 7.4 mile bike ride; CTX Shoulders, Tris, Bis
THURSDAY: Pilates session; 30 min. swim
FRIDAY: off
SATURDAY: 12.8 mile bike; Pilates mat routine
SUNDAY: plan to run

It's only 30 degrees out, but I feel like running, and not at the gym on a treadmill. I also wrenched my left arm and shoulder on the bike yesterday (just from riding, no crashing or anything--weird!), and probably couldn't even get my arm up and around to do a step tape. So I've got my mp3 all loaded and the Polartec ready to go!

Hello all!
I am just beginning to or trying to incorporate 2 strength sessions per week. With 3 cardio, keeping 2 rest (usually Sun and Fri) days, it's a math puzzle. Here goes:

Mon- Rhythmic Step - interrupted before the challenge. Still learning it

Tue- Rhythmic Step, whole thing

Wed- PowerHour- did all lunges!! First time for that. Just did 'em with no weight. Rode bike to work (total 30 min)

Thur- Hi-Lo Heaven, stages 1 and 2

Fri- rest

Sat- Bodymax, substituted ab section with plank/ab from CTX Power Circuit. Added 24 step-ups in there. Great Saturday workout!

Today- rest day planned.

How do you like those Leslie Sansone tapes? I'm afraid they may not be intense enough for me. I walk at 175-180 bpm. Do you feel they give you a good workout?

RE: Leaving for Banff tomorrow!

Since I will be travelling skiiing next week, today was probably my last chance at a killer workout and so I went with that. My week went like this:

Monday - Rhymthic Step

Tuesday - PS Legs and Abs

Wednesday - rest (drive for meeting - no time to exercise)

Thursday - run 45 minutes on treadmill, some walking, and about 10 minutes on the elliptical trainer. (I was at a hotel)

Friday - Happy Hour High Low

Saturday - Step this Way

Sunday - Power Hour and CIA 9003

Tomorrow, I think my date and I will do PS CST (he doesn't know I did Power Hour today so I might have to go a little lighter tomorrow) and that will be my last "formal" workout until I get back next Saturday. Of course, I will be taking my running shoes, aerobic shoes and the necessary shorts, etc. just in case.

I am so looking forward to a holiday from work and KIDS!

Have a great week everybody.

Kim

hi honeybunch, i borrowed the three mile walk from a friend and i don't think it's intense at all. don't get me wrong , you'll feel something but it's not like what you're used to with cathe. i will say that it's good for something to do on a light day or if you weren't feeling your best.

Hi. My week went fairly well. I just read the book Body Rx by A. Scott Connelly, it's a decent read, I'd recommend it. Well here goes my week...

Monday--S&H Bicep/Tricep
Tuesday--PowerMax + abs
Wednesday--S&H Legs/Shoulders
Thursday--Planned Rest
Friday--MIC(floor)+ abs
Saturday--Power Hour
Sunday--Charlene Prickett's We Love Step

(I did S&H Chest/Back the end of last week) This is my first time doing S&H, I think I'm gonna like it!

Stacy

Hey everyone.. sounds like good week...

Kelly - Join the gym. I just did and LOVE it.. though I dont do classes (I do cathe for cardio) I LOVE free weights it's VERY motivating (at least to me) to see though VERY inshape guys there!!! Hey what's wrong with a little superficial motivation.

Just got home from a hockey tournament.. my sons team won yipee.. GREAT year for sure...

Well here was my week

Sun - Gym - free weights and cross trainer (little cardio)
Mon - LL and circuit max
Tues - Gym - free weights and cross trainer
Wed - LL
Thurs - Gym - free weights and cross trainer
Friday ---- had to leave right after work no time
Sat - planned rest

Did well on the clean eating.. funny really missed water and veggies (ended out LOOKING really hard for places to get them)

Well im home now and can get in a good workout...

I may start running for cardio this week.... if it is warm enough!

Have a great week everyone

Hi Honeybunch!!!

Yes, I like the three Leslie tapes that I've tried. No, they're not "intense", but what I do is make some of the movements BIGGER!!! Also, I modify some moves to make them a little higher impact. But, I like Leslie's tapes for just that -- LOW IMPACT!! My feet can't take too much intense stepping...so, Leslie's tapes are for, say, a light day, or even a "rest" day!! I don't always like to take a rest day -- so, something low impact is great!! Maybe you can try to rent one of hers from the library, or local video store? Give her a try! I don't own any Leslie tapes yet, but I'm thinking about getting a few. Take care!!
