Happy Weekend everyone. Ok, I finally have time to tell about the Road Trip. First, I arrived on Thursday to meet up with several ladies who I met last year. We visited and had lunch at Uno's (next door to hotel). Then it was back to the hotel lobby where we continued to meet early arrivals. Arriving early is the best, because you get to meet people as they arrive so you have time to learn a little about them. Once the actual road trip starts you are surrounded by 100 people so its hard to remember people's names and where they are from. Several of us attended Friday morning's Cathe's regular step and scuplting class, which we call the Early Bird's class for the early arrivals. Some of Cathe's regular students seemed quite surprised to have their class invaded by so many outsiders. For lunch on Friday, several of us went to Ruby Tuesday's at the mall while others went to Friendly's. Finally is was off to the Meet and Greet. The food was fabulous. The relay races were fun and the pajama party stretch was just what we needed. Saturday, we started off with the group photo and then the classes started. During the classes, the energy in the room is so high you forgot how hard you are working out. At the end of the class you know because you are covered in sweat. The next class the group is split in 2 segments. One does the class and the other goes to listen the speakers. This class is so much fun. Wish I could tell you about it, but that would spoil it. I did the class first and then listened to the Altus speaker. Lots of new Cathe products are coming out soon. The lunch at the Japanese restaurant was delicious. This is going to sound funny, but I don't remember what the 3rd class was. Mind overload I guess. The evening was filled with more good food and good fun. Back at the hotel I ended up staying up late and visiting in the lobby with several other road trippers. This made it hard to get up for the early class. But then once again, the energy revives you. There was time for a quick shower and then it was off to the diner for breakfast. Breakfast is bittersweet. You are so happy to be surrounded by everyone, but you also know that it's time to say goodbye. After the breakfast, I went back to the hotel and visited some more before it was time to head to the airport. At the airport several of us had weather delays, so there was more time for visiting. I finally got on a plane at 9:00 pm and that's when the emotions and fatigue hit and the tears started to stream. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute and miss everyone already. Cathe and her staff and the coordinators work hard to pull off a grand event. Here's a link to my photos.

Thank you Jean!:D

Whats Cathe like during the early bird class? I remember reading a post of Jerry's and he said, that those people who do Cathe calsses all the time don't even realise "who" she is! Well they realise who she is, of course, but they don't "know shes mega dvd trainer"

Today was my first workout for two weeks! I didn't push just a few walk/runs up down a hill for about 30 mins then MIS leg workout, but I skipped the last lunges.

I've spent the weekend at home with my children, animals and hubby. Its nice to do that. And I caught up on the house cleaning - oh joy of joys:(

Hoping you've all had a great weekend

Good Morning,

Well I am back from vacation and I want to return. If you ever get the chance you must visit Colorado it is a beautiful state. We went to a place called Meza Verde and saw some indian ruins and they were amazing. Haven't worked out all week did alittle bit of walking and climbing but the air is so thin its hard to breath. This week I am going to start Fitness Freaks leg winter 07 rotation. My mini challenge this week is to get back in the routine of eating right and exercising.

Jean-glad to hear you had a wonderful time.

Andrea-how come you are not working out? Are you staying away from the lollies?

Have a wonderful day everone.

Andrea, Cathe is just a regular person both in her regular class and when she is front of us on the Road Trip. She is so done to earth and very gracious.

You asked the other day what Cardio Coach Press Play was and I forgot to answer. It is a downloadable Cardio Coach MP3 compliation designed for the Choose Living foundation. It is very motivational. Beside the workout instruction (tells you when to do sprints, hills etc) the guest speaker is Jim McLaren who after being in 2 catostrophic accidents, is now a motivational speaker. He tells his story of how he became injuried and how we all have a choice in what we do. You can purchase the MP3 download for a $20.00 donation from http://www.chooseliving.org/How_you_can_Help/CL_Merchandise.htm

Roxie, glad you had a nice time on your vacation. I've been to Colrado in the winter and can only imagine how pretty it would be in the summer.

Well my weekend has not gone as planned. Yesterday's bike ride didn't happen. It was too hot after we mowed the yard. Today's run didn't happen. It was too hot after church and I was too lazy to get up dearly before church. I'm thinking about trying the nutrition manager. Maybe that will help be be more accountable with my eating (as I sit here eating Milk Duds again). I need to quit going done the candy isle at the grocery store.

Hope everyone is well.

Hi all. Got in a little exercise this weekend (finally!). Started Friday night on the elliptical - I almost skipped, but came back here and Becca had told me to "have fun on the elliptical" so I did - thanks Becca!:D

Yesterday, I took the kids to the amusement park and walked around all afternoon. Then we went for a bike ride in the evening. Not really challenging, but better than sitting on the couch! Today I've been lazy, though. Not sure what I'm doing tomorrow - I'll choose something in the morning. Maybe something from LIC, BM2 or CF.

Roxie, Mesa Verde is one of our favorite places to go (I live in New Mexico, so it's an easy jaunt for us). My DH is an anthropologist/archaeologist so it's like having our own personal tour guide. Which ruins did you go to? We went to pretty much everything last time - hadn't been to Long House before, but it was spectacular!

Jean, the RT sounds like a blast! I could see where you'd get hit hard w/ all the emotions & stuff @ the end. A very intense weekend!

Hi Andrea. Great plan to start slow getting back to WO. That's what I'm doing too. It's HARD to get back after a long break even though I KNOW it will make me feel better (and let me eat more food w/o gaining weight ).

Well, I'd better get going. I still have laundry to do and then need to think about some pre-prep for dinner - I'm trying a new recipe for stuffed peppers that I found in one of the WW cookbooks. I probably would think of these more as a winter meal, but I have bell peppers I need to use up before they go bad LOL!

Gotta scoot! See you all tomorrow!
