<><><>CHALLENGERS WEEK OF 7/20<><><>

Hi everyone.

Last night I managed my bootcamp - yay for me.

Roxie - I am going to trial running into my training. We have a 6kilometer lake to run around, and I thought I "don't seem to be jiggling these thighs off, maybe running?" What do you think about running?
 
This morning was disc 10, shoulders, bis and chest. DH watched me during part of it and it was very helpful. He would watch Cathe and me and then let me know how my form wasn't quite right. I would change the form and I could really feel the difference. I need someone giving me pointers everyday.

Any mini challenges going on this week?

Totally forgot why I needed to get up early this morning, so I will try to do CM segment 3 while the baby is here and then hopefully he will leave early enough I can still do 4ds LIS step only.
 
Morning

I just got out of the shower, did a HIIT on the treadmill. I decided ealier this week to take a week off from weight workouts. So i will just do cardio when i can. I plan on tackleing the grass agian too....:confused: I have a big yard and a push mower:eek:. DH is suppose to help this time;)

Andrea-I LOVE running, eversince i started running back in janurary ive noticed a big difference in my legs/hips. Ive dropped inches too. I use to go about 3miles before i tuckered out....but i haven't ran a steady state run in a while. I do alot of Cardio Coaches(basicly intervals).

Roxie-Have fun with your nephew today

Jean-My mini challenge for the week is too not go over my maintenence cals. Nice job with Disc 10 yesterday!

I did Boot camp/ME bonus combo. I've never done this premix. It was fun and intense.

Amelia: DH still has to fix our mower. By the time he does our grass will be knee high with all this rain we are getting.

Andrea: good job getting to your BC class.

Roxie: I hate getting up early but I know if I don't I won't get a WO in.

Gotta get going as my two Angels(ha,ha,ha) are pestering me.

Hi everyone. Today was legs. Then tonight I wanted to try out another one of the classes at the gym. It was a step class. Most of the moves were basically similar to Cathe's stuff, although the arm movements were different. I had a really good time. Was sweating like crazy. It wasn't Cathe, but it was still fun. I'm so mad at myself though. I started my HRM(or so I thought). I only pushed it to the point where it read my heart rate and didn't actually track it or the calories burned. By the time I realized it the class had already been going for more that 30 minutes. In the remaining 15 minutes and cool down, I burned 280 calories. I can only imagine what I really burned for the whole thing. I will hopefully do this class again and see how many I burn next time.

I have to squeeze it into the first part of the week though, because I'll be in New Jersey for the last part of the week. Sure wish each of you were going to the road trip too. It would have been great to meet you in person.

I usually use one set of risers for Cathe's lower impact step workouts and thats only when im familar with the steps...but not her higher impact steps, i just can't keep up with her jumping all over the place:confused: She gets my HR up when just using the platform anyway.

Andrea, great job getting back to Bootcamp. I found one near me and am thinking about doing it in Sept. I've got to find out how much is.

Amelia, this will be my 4th road trip. There are several of us who have become good friends and we make this like our reunion. Meeting Cathe is fabulous. Working out with Cathe andn100+ people in one room is so energizing. Meeting other Cathe's fans face to face is just as rewarding.

Well I'm pooped. Tonight we moved DD out of her lease house and back home. She has 1 semester of college left and will stay with us as she decides what to do. No sense renewing a lease. I better get to bed. Its after 1 in the morning. Yikes.

Today is suppose to be a 30min walk with weighted vest but I don't own one so I will just walk. I wanted to go outside but its raining here so I will have to use the TM and then I will do sts medball abs. Its cleanmax, laundrymax and walmartmax for me today.

Hey guys, I just finished cardio coach volume 3...it was nice. I just got out of the shower and im still sweating,ugh:rolleyes:

Roxie-I wonder how much more you would burn in you got a vest? Do you have any smaller dumbells..maybe that would work until you get the vest? I thought about getting those wrist weights for my walks.

Jean- so your a pro at road trips;) its nice that your able to meet up with cathe friends every year and i bet the workouts are just amazing! I couldnt imagine having a room full of fellow catheites all working out WITH CATHE:eek: my goodness,i would be beside myself:confused:. Have a wonderful time!!

Hope everyone's weekend is in full swing. I got up this morning and went for a jog. I did Cardio Coach Press Play and finished it about 2 miles from the house so I added on a challenge and then I slow steady jogged the rest of the way home. I went over 7 miles and burned over 1000 calories. That's my farthest distance ever.
