CHALLENGERS - Week of 1/3/11

New Year. Wow, where did the time go. Now I just need to put in the effort and make this the year for a new me.

I got up this morning and did portions of Cardio Core. I need to really try hard to get up and get my workouts in. Weight had held steady through the holidays until this weekend where it jumped up several pounds. Now I just have to make those pounds disappear.

Roxie, how's the start of your new year?

Good Evening Jean,

I got a good start on the new year yesterday. I did Basic Step, Upper Body and Lower Body then a stretch tonite I did KCMs KBXing, 30 pushups and 200 crunches. I am like you I need to get up and get my workouts done. When I got up this morning the furnace wasn't working and DH is out of town but my SIL came over and got it running again. I managed not to put on any wt. during the holidays now if I can just keep that up. Good luck getting rid of your pounds.
Do you have the new workouts and if so how is the quality are you having any problems?

Today was an attempt at an Insanity DVD. Don't remember which one. When he says take it to the floor, I was already there gasping for air, LOL.

Roxie, congrats on maintaining through the holidays. I do have the new DVDs and haven't noticed any problems. My DVD player is ancient so usually if I have problems it from that, like this morning I had problems with the Insanity one. In the past, sometimes I have had some tiling effects the first time a new dvd is played in the DVD, but the next time it is played it works fine.

Good Job with Insanity. Kelly Coffey Meyer has new workouts coming out next month that I think I am going to get because they are 30mins and I love her kickboxing one.

I decided to Basic Step instead ate to much for supper so my stomach was to upset to do anything tougher.

Stats:
30 min
19 in the zone
141 min hr
158 max hr
201 cals burned.
 
Today I did STS Total body for the first time. I really liked it. It uses tri-sets done for 16 reps the first time through and then 12 reps the second time. It moves pretty quickly so the minutes go by very fast. I did not feel the need to worry about 1Rep max like you need to do for the full blown STS. I just selected a weight that seemed challenging and adjusted from there. I have a feeling I am going to be feeling it tomorrow.

Tonite for me is BM2 Upper Body and abs. Sounds like you had a good workout. STS Total Body, and High Reps are the two I am thinking about getting glad to hear your opionion on this one.
 
No workout yesterday. I seemed to have picked up a head cold or some allergies and didn't sleep well Wednesday night. Last night was better so I did 30 minutes of Insanity this morning which was better good considering the cough that keeps kicking in.

Good Morning Jean,

I have been horrible with my workouts the last couple of days think I am trying to come down with something. Tonite is B&G standing legs only so hopefully I can get one done. Hope you get to feeling better.
