Challenge with DH!

Last night DH and I were just chatting while I was grilling my chicken for dinner about my "new and improved" workout regimine (ok, so it was truthfully nonexistent before about 5 weeks ago when I found Cathe on FitTV and Cathe.com!) ~ that of course includes 4 of my new Cathe DVD's that arrived monday night and 3 more on the way ;) ~ he was saying how proud of me he was that I was getting refocused on my health and weight. I have gained about 40 pounds since we met 6 years ago. See he's a chef (no longer professional, but he loves to cook for me) so has lavished me with decadent meals over the years and I am paying the price for that now. Not to mention that we have aquired a taste for the good life being here in Vegas where you can get anything you want at any time, day or night with some of the best restaurants in the world!

So, back to the challenge: When (notice I did not say IF this time!) I lose the 40 pounds I have gained since we met, he will quit smoking! I'm shooting towards the end of February 2009 (my 42nd birthday) at 2 lbs a week and the fudge factor for holidays!

I will need all the support I can get! :D and will "pay it forward" and backward if necessary... :p I am getting my workout rotations under control with much assistance of this forum and Cathe's wonderful advice, but it is definately my diet that is in despirate need of assistance and overhaul. WW online is only effective if you use it unfortunately... so I have to refocus on that and quite making excuses and copping out! any advise you all might have on how you transformed your eating habits would be great!

Dani, that is GREAT! You can do this! I think having your DH quit smoking is great incentive too! Keep at it...I will be here cheering you on!

I have the excercise part down good, it's the eating I also struggle with...we just need to keep at it! Keep me posted!
