Run done! Three miles in this sticky, gooey mess. Now to get cleaned up and head to the chiro.

BBL to see what everyone's up to.

Good morning cheetahs! I had work and meetings yesterday which left me no time for chattin:( I got in LIC w/ the bonus cardio though.
Anyway, after I get off work in another hour or so I'll be hitting my favorite trail for a 5 mile run. Later I'll be doing one of the IMAXs
probably #1:7

SunnyD- Have you broken in your Garmin yet?

Cathy- Have a great run today!! Is the weather nice and cool for you this morning? It's been much better here for me lately, cooling off in the low 60s in the morning:)

Hopefully I can check in later, Hi to everyone following!

I missed posting yesterday! Yesterday was LIC cardio Blast Premis, and this morning was PUB and GS Chest push ups.

I'm taking the boys and we're joining 2 friends and their kids at the local amusement/water park. All day. All night. EXCITED. Great chance to do lots of stair climbing again!

Sorry to hit and run AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I miss chatting with you guys.

Hi Cheetahs-

Here is a note to say all is well and such!

Workouts are going well according to a Smart Coach plan form Runners World and upper body parts once per week, abs more often and currently no lower body weight work. I am still working on running at aerobic threshold and really enjoy using the Garmin. Knowing distance, HR and Pace is really helpful (and entertaining).

As I mentioned before, we have a Spanish girl from a Global Friendship program living with us a for all of July. And we are planning a 50th wedding anniversary party for my in-laws. In addition, we are finishing up the workout studio in our basement. (DH agreed to do the whole floor in in hardwood over a floating sub floor. I can hardly wait to some Cathe cardio on it) July has been busy and left very little time for visiting on Cathe.com, but the Cheetahs are worth visiting !

Take care everyone!

If you fail to plan, then you plan to fail.

Good morning cheetahs

Sunny...had a great run and no pain!! That is so cool you and your DH got in a workout. I bet you will get the swimming quickly. Enjoy your B&G premix.

Cathy..you were right, there is a big party tomorrow night. It is just a dual party so not just one 50 year old will get picked on! That was the weird thing about my back pain, the impact of running did not hurt it. I am glad the chiro is helping you..:)...good job on the sticky 3 miler.

Shelly...a 5 mile run and then Imax 1!!....WOW....

Judy...glad to hear you are enjoying the Garmin. I have never worked out on wood flooring, do you need puzzle mats?

Jackie...Not sure how long for the pain, it isn't constant, seems just sensitive since they took out the drain. No pain yesterday so it gets better daily. I see the Doc today to get the stitches out. Sounds like a good core workout after a run.

Susan..No, I have not gotten bruised from the foam roller. I need some new workout clothes for the trip too, Target sounds good! I was on some strong pain killers last weekend (I had surgery last friday) but the last few days advil seemed to do the trick. Have fun shopping.

Christine...GREAT pics of Jimmy, he is growing up! Sounds like a cool spinerval workout. Your comments make me smile...:)...it felt so good to run without the tooth pain I even did some intervals which I rarely do on leg day!

I had a great painfree run yesterday and I even added about 7 intervals! I am thinking of a run again this morning as I want to get in 4 runs a week. Also I might be able to convince my DH to ride with me. I have gotten him to do some sort of cardio 3 days a week for the last week and a half. I might add on some of Amy's APX shoulder and tricep work.

Have a great day...:)

Hey ladies! I'm here! I was busy reorganizing my dd's rooms again & sorting through toys (didn't I *just* do it?). It's never ending!! And we were outside for a while y'day, it was nice! It's supposed to rain today so it looks like we'll be indoors!

I did GS legs + ARX y'day. My hamstrings & calves are tight today!! GS legs always gets me! (more than B & G for me)

Greg is roofing today w/ some friends, but they might get rained out. He has a few projects this summer (they do it for some *extra* money).

I don't know what I'm going to do yet today. I was going to run w/ my buddy Erin but she has a cold now (I hope I didn't give her mine!) so no run y'day or today. For some reason I just can't seem to get up so early to run by myself! I've just been really tired still this week- sinus/ allergies I think.

Have a good day, Cheetahs!

Good morning ladies!

Sunny - Glad you didn't mind the no shows yesterday. At least, you got to use your backup plan. Enjoy your workout with DH.

Susan - How was the shopping trip? Life is definitely too short to worry about a diet all of the time. Enjoy in moderation. I was on a diet once and didn't like it one bit. I noticed a bruise on my hip and couldn't remember bumping into anything. I didn't attribute it to the foam roller though.

Wendy - I'm sure you are in the beautiful Myrtle Beach by now. Hope you had a safe trip. Have fun!

Christine - Lake Placid reminds me of the movie. Having a nice butt to watch is a good way to push through. Jimmy is looking good. You can tell he just loves that camera. :)

Cathy - I think the shoe pod allows you to use the Garmin on the treadmill and it calculates the pace, mileage, etc. I have to read up again about the HRM part. Nice run today. Love sweaty! Makes me think I worked really hard!

Shelly - Enjoy your run on the trails and IMAX! You are tough!

Gayle - Enjoy the day with the kids at the amusement park.

Judy - Glad to hear your running is going well for you and you're enjoying your Garmin. Have fun planning the anniversary party.

Carole - Great run for you yesterday and with no pain! Hope everything is healed up nicely. Have a good run today. Those 4 runs a week really make a difference for me. Did you convince DH to go along?

Jess - Hope you have a nice workout whatever you choose to do.

I wanted to do something different this morning. So, I pulled out the old Bosu and did the cardio portion of Bosu Blast with Seasun, iClimb #10 20 minutes and some extra stretching.

I'm ready for the weekend! Have a fantastic Friday!

Jackie

Sunny - I got Bosu Blast from Deep Discount. It's called Double Cardio with Seasun Zigler and Sharon Twoby.

Hey, cheetahs! :D

Feelin’ great after this morning’s adjustment…then caught The Simpsons movie. (I’m a fan and thought the movie was funny, but was it necessary to see Bart’s wang? I don’t think so.) :)

Shelly :: glad to hear you are enjoying cooler temps! No relief for us yet. LIC is not one I do often (though I liked it the couple of times I tried it)…have you ever done the Total Body Sculpt premix? It is either that or PH tomorrow, and I'm still undecided.

Sunny and Jackie :: I don’t mind the sweat (I agree, makes me feel like I worked hard), but I can do without the humidity. I know some people like the heat - I'm not one of 'em.

Sunny :: Can’t wait for you to try your Garmin. Enjoy liftin’ with DH tonight.

Jackie :: thanks for the explanation of the shoe pod. Since I hate TM running, I suppose it makes sense for me to just use my Polar HRM when indoors. Any special plans for the weekend?

Carole :: is your mouth tender now that the stitches are out? You know, the answer for that, of course, is ICE CREAM!!! :D Glad you enjoyed a pain-free run yesterday…fantastic that DH is gettin' out there. Do you think the big 5-0 has turned him onto fitness perhaps?

Hi Gayle, Judy, Jess, and everyone who follows. Where’s Laurie been?

Hello again cheetahpals! I got in a wonderful 5 mile run this morning. To be honest, on the way back after about 4 miles I was starting to poop out a little and was considering walking the rest when I passed a lady who said to me.... "You run this whole route??? Good for you!!" Well, after that I had to run the rest of it even faster ;-)

Cathy- I actually find the weight section of LIC to be more challenging then some of her strictly weight workouts. I've never
done the Total body Sculpt premix but I've heard that it is very challenging- I believe it! Give it a go! }(
Isn't that nice of me to volunteer you to do something I've been afraid of doing myself? ;-)

Sunny- My Garmin doesn't arrive til Next Monday. Can't wait!! I'm going to get serious about pacing myself better and doing outdoor intervals and hill repeats.

Judy- Nice to hear from ya!!! Your new workout studio sounds awesome!!! I am way jealous!

Carole- Here's to running painfree!!!!!! There is simply nothin better:7 wooohoooo, you're even back to intervals again:7 :7
Since I've been using the ol foam roller I don't even have that occasional naggy piriformis pain in the butt.... I thought I'd be living with that forever!

Jackie- The bosu is a gadget/toy I have not yet been tempted to get.
But it does look like fun! It must be nice for a change of pace.

Jess- sorry you're still under the weather. Good to listen to your body and not push it!! GS legs always gets me too.

Time to get on movin. IMAX still awaits}(
