CCPP Day TODAY!!! How did YOU do???

Cathlete
Good morning, ladies.

Michele, I will check out your other post next! Thanks for sharing!

How did you do???? How are you feeling? I SO LOVE htis workout! Each and everytime I do it! AND....I wore a brand new workout top that dear DEAR friend of mine gave me specifically for CCPP days!

My workout this morning was AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME! To me, it really REALLY hits home, on the topic of mini goals and putting them all together to reach the ULTIMATE goal. Let me explain. I have 11 miles on today's long run schedule. Knowing I won't have anybody to watch my kids this weekend, my FIRST mini goal was to get up early enough today to run on the TM before the kids get up! DID IT! NExt goal was to do CCPP for the first part of my run. DID IT, and logged 7 miles using it! So that left me with 4 miles to do. I was sweaty, feet ached a bit, and a little voice was occassionally telling me to stop. NOT! Next mini goal? to reach mile 8, then 9. I knew at that point I was going to do all 11 with no problem. BUT...that just wasn't good enough, now was it? NOPE...not for me. I did some quick math and realized that if I didn't pick up the pace even just a little bit, the time ont he TM would go past 100 minutes, when the TM automatically stops. No big deal, just an inconvenience to start it back up again just to finish, what, 3/4 of a mile? NOPE! WILL NOT LET THAT HAPPEN, now will I? Quick math in my head, I set my next mini goal to finish all 11 miles BEFORE the clock turns to 100 minutes. BUT...somewhere between mile 8 and 9, I decided to REALLY challenge me and beat 99 minutes! LOL

LONG STORY SHORT.....11 miles, 98:50 time. Then I did plank work for several minutes and a nice long stretch!

Felt great! LOVE THAT CCPP workout (although I AM still an iTread addict!)

Sorry to hit and run.

Gayle

I don't know what CCPP is BUT you go girl! I think that is awesome and all before the kiddos wake up!

i had to do it yesterday because i have a major production pet fair to put on today. it was great as usual!

Wow Gayle -- you're a tough act to follow!! That's AWESOME!!! Did you set a PR today? I can't imagine doing PP then tacking on an extra 4 miles with the clock ticking  . You're my new shero :7

I'm slurping coffee and getting ready to hop on my elliptical. Today marks the 4 year anniversary of my mom's passing -- always a tough day for me -- so I'm dedicating my workout to her, and to Jim McClaren. I'm praying that this is but a momentary setback for Jim, and that he bounces back quickly.

Wow Gayle...that is great!

I'm a newbie to CCPP (just purchased it) so I spent this first time getting familiar with my settings. I think I had goosebumps throughout the whole thing. Very inspirational. Thanks to all of you for "enabling" me:D

JJ

Great job, guys!

Michele-I've got goosebumps about your mom! ENJOY your workout. Everytime I do CCPP, I think of DH and it pushes me further (and faster, as today did!) I'll add you and your mom to our list of prayers for the weekend!
As for a PR....that is a PR for me for that distance. I'm usually much slower at the longer distances.

JJ-glad we could enable you! You'll love it more and more each and every time!

Gayle

Wow! Gayle, that is awesome. You never cease to amaze me! I am sitting here drinking my coffee too trying to make sure I am good & awake! Ha! I will be doing CCPP on my elliptical. Say a prayer my knee does well thru it all. I am on my way BACK! Thanks Michele for the great idea about doing it for your Mom. I just marked the 29th. anniversary of my Mom's passing two days ago. Sooo, I am dedicating my workout to Jim AND her. Oh boy, it makes me want to cry already! JJ-glad to have you join in. The workout gives me goosebumps too. Thanks Sean for the link. Us Cathe girls appreciate your thoughtfulness!!! Again, Gayle...GREAT JOB!!!!

Oh and I forgot to mention that I LOVE the part where Sean calls us a Barracuda! LOL

I also just wanted to say how AWESOME this PP gathering is each month! Every single time I do PP, I find something new to be grateful for!

ENJOY YOURSELF!

Gayle

I'm done!!! I did CCPP on my spinning bike and I really was thinking of not doing the last challenge. I was so spent, but I just kept going. I love this workout.

Gayle - great workout. I like all of your mini-goals that you set along the way. That's a great way to keep yourself going.

Michele - hugs to you today on this sad anniversary.

Debbie - I hope your knee doesn't give you problems today.

JJ - glad you liked the workout. What machine did you do it on?

I'm DONE!!!! Woo-Hooo! Gayle, you should have been on my Elli with me because you would have had less then 2 miles to go! LOL!!! I doubt my numbers are accurate by I like comparing them every time I do CCPP...Today, I clocked in at 64:40, 9.09 miles!!! and 1,111 Calories. I doubt it is that high but it still motivates me beyond belief while doing the workout. I thought of all of you during the workout and sent out a special prayer for Jim and Michele. (Also for two gals on cathedotcom that are experiencing having to cancel STS for injuries/sickness. It breaks my heart!) I love the steady state music between the 4th. & 5th. challenge...for some reason, that music always chokes me up. (it's the segment where Sean is explaining the reason behind choosing living & talks about his "lil' green wrinkly friend". Todd did a great job on the music. Thanks you guys for reminding me about our monthly CCPP day and also a BIG HUG & THANKS to Sean!

DONE!!

WOWEEEEEEEE!!!! This was my BEST effort EVER!! :D

I really needed this today. It's not so much that I had steam to burn off, but I had knots in my stomach that needed to be soothed, and the Press Play workout was the perfect remedy. That, and knowing that you guys thought of me and my mom during your workouts. Before hopping on my elliptical I tanked up on my coffee :p , took a little Ibuprofen for a sore hip, called my sister for a good cry, and said a little prayer for Jim. Then the race was on! I started off with the new tracks from Coach Sean which provided a nice extended warm up and was great for that darn hip -- UGH! Of course, as soon as I heard Jim's voice I shut up about the hip already :p . I had a mental image of each one of you as I did this workout and, as usual, it's that connection and spirit that helps to push me through. ;-)

Gayle -- I know exactly what you mean by the motivation and extra push you get from thinking of our loved ones who have passed on. I know they were with us today. Congratulations on your PR for distance!!

Lorie -- Good luck at the pet fair. I'm sending powerful adoption vibes to your event.

JJ -- It's so great to have a PP newbie!! Welcome and mark your calendar for the last Saturday of every month. We'll meet right here as usual. :)

Debbie -- You've been much in my prayers of late, and it must've worked because I see that you just posted your PP results and HOLY WOW!!!! I've got a ways to go before I catch up to you, Mama Deb  . I thought of you when I reached for that kleenex ;)

Karin -- thanks for the hug. I can always use one of those ;) . Isn't is amazing how when that last challenge comes up, and you think you just can't do it, then somehow, from somewhere, the energy kicks in. Happens every time!

Sean -- Many thanks for giving us a sneak peek at the new Volume 8! That was just what I needed today. It was such a wonderful and unexpected surprise, and it gave me the will and the motivation to get through that workout today. :)

Michele!

WONDERFUL! You are/were some of the motivation I needed to get thru it. I can't thank you enough for keeping me in your prayers. It means more then words can say! GREAT JOB and I will say a prayer that your hip will be just fine. Let me ask something...is the link we got from Sean only a couple minutes long? I never heard anything about a baracudda!!! And, Jim didn't talk in it either? I am wondering if the whole thing downloaded???

Hi Debbie! I got your email, by the way -- thank you :) .

My hip/low back have been bugging me for about a week. I think I pulled something x( . Anyway, it will be fine. I'm about to do a segment from my Classical Stretch DVD and that should help work out the kinks.

It looks like your knee didn't hold you back in the least. WOO HOO!!! You go girl -- you put me to shame!

I think the barracuda comment is in the Press Play workout but I can't remember where. As for the new download -- it's 3 tracks; an introduction from Sean, 2 sample tracks from Volume 8, and then a letter from Jim's sister. The tracks are short -- just a couple of minutes each. HTH :)

OMG -- my DH, who is on the other side of the world at a conference, just sent me a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Oh, now I'm going to cry again. He knows this day is tough for me.

RE: Michele!

Awwww, what a thoughtful DH! I hope they help to cheer you up Michele! It's so hard when we miss our loved ones so much! Wow, there are THREE tracks? I only had the first one with Sean download. Thanks for the heads-up. I'll go back and see if I can figure it out. Your Mama would be so proud of you today. Keep your chin up!!!

RE: Michele!

Thanks Debbie -- my chin is up :) . Yeah, my DH is pretty special ;) .

Let me know if you have a problem with your download and I'll email the link to you again. :*

RE: Michele!

Thanks! I found it! The letter from Jennifer went to Word and the sample of Volume 8 WAS in my iTunes but because the artist was ToddWashburn, it didn't alphabitize under CardioCoach if that makes sense. Thanks for making me aware or I would have missed these two important parts. That music is THUMPING! I like the "drive"!

Oh, I LOVE the music in Volume 8!! Like you said -- it has a driving beat and it keeps you moving. I sent Sean an email to let him know I approve of the new sound :7

RE: Michele!

Hi girls!

Wow, Gayle, you are ON FIRE, girl! Nice going!
