CC + rowing

Thanks to all of you Cardio Coach users, I downloaded level one this morning and used it with my rowing machine. It was the fastest 30 minutes of my life. I loved it!! I got a really great, drenching workout that was fun and inspiring. I will be going back for more. ;)

Isn't it awesome? I did volume 1 for my 2 mile run this morning!! You think it's only 1/2 hour but boy does it kick butt.

Welcome to the Cardio Coach Maniacs Club :D

Yes! WELCOME TO OUR CLUB! (running around screaming now) :) I love when we successfully convert others...it is kind of like a cult. :)

The best part is - I did the STS disc8, back and tri's, before rowing, so I am nicely toasted and the cardio coach endorphin infusion turbo charged me - I ate a refueling lunch, then mopped the whole house (we have hard floors) and scoured my shower glass. Cathe, Tom V, and Sean are transforming me from an Eeyore to Tigger! lol.:D

What kind of rowing machine do you have? Do you like it and would you recommend it. I'm curious as I would like to get a good one maybe later this summer/fall.

Glad you like CC. He needs to put out some more workouts, they are so fun.

We have a Kettler Coach Magnetic. This is what it looks like,

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000XAW8VQ (I don't know if this one is exactly the same as our.)

Yes I like it. We have had it about 9 years and have had absolutely no problems with it. You can set different resistance levels from zero to ten, and it also has functions to track number of strokes, calories, stroke rate per minute and a few other things that I am blanking on at the moment.

Do you already use one, at the gym maybe? Today, even though I was sitting, I got a really good hamstring and glute workout (not to mention back and tri's). Done correctly it really gets into the back of the leg, done incorrectly, well, knee and back injury are the most common problem.

Concept II makes a good one too, but we felt their foot print was too big. The Kettler has a nice smooth gliding feel and is quieter (not silent by any means, just quieter).

Thanks for the info. No I don't use one [yet] I don't belong to a gym. We have only a TM and Stationary Bike and I thought a rower would add some variety.

Janis, welcome to Cardio Coach Land!!! I just love it when we snag a newbie!! :D

I would love to try CC workouts on a rowing machine. We had one years ago -- like 25 years ago -- and we liked it a lot, but it was a cheap model and didn't hold up well. My DH was looking at one last summer and the only thing that held us back from getting it was space. We simply don't have any place to put one.

I'm doing STS and using CC for all of my cardio. I just finished M1 and I'm doing CC and kettlebell workouts during my recovery week. I think CC compliments STS very nicely! :D

Yup, and Miss Lee is the cult leader :p:D
Oh Carola, you're just as bad as I am at this point, and it looks like Melissa is right there with us! :p :p :p :D

Glad you like CC. He needs to put out some more workouts, they are so fun.
I couldn't agree more!! I want Volume 9 yesterday!! Tami, I love the little doggie in your sig line! :D

Kate, I bought the workouts for all of my nephews and my sister, too. They make great gifts, especially at the current price!!!

Any idea when Volume 9 is due? And 10 too! ;)
No, I haven't heard any rumblings about it at all. The last I heard was when Coach Sean sent out a letter to his subscribers, and that was quite a while ago. He said that Volume 9 is on hold for now and that he was looking for a new business partner. And that's when he dropped his prices so I wondered if he'd been hit hard by the economy. He hasn't given any updates since then so I have no idea where things stand. In his letter he mentioned that he would appreciate it if we dropped by his website and signed his guest book, and/or write a review of his workouts. Maybe that would help give him the boost he needs.

You know what I'd like - a cardio coach for swimming. :p
Funny you should mention that. There are people who use CC in the water!! They have special waterproof doodads for their iPods. If you go to CC website and click on Volume 3, then scroll down to the review section, you'll see where someone raved about using it in the water. :D

I have a Concept II and love it. Had it about a year. They are expensive but what I like is they break apart real easy so you can stand the long part up and then the wheel part takes up no more room than an exercise bike. It is also light enough to move and I took mine outside over the weekend and rowed.

I soooo want a C2 rower! I keep scouring craigslist for a decent deal in our area, but they keep getting snatched up.

Their factory is only about 2 hours from my house, I wonder if they offer seconds...hmmm...

For heavens sake he does not need a partner-he needs a marketer-and he's got you for that! lol Does he not realize that? He must not ;).
