Cauliflower pizza crust --- Recipe

Hi Everyone,

Would like to share recipe below. I have tried it myself and I absolutely love my own homemade pizza.
I never love industrial pizza anyway. I used to feel bloated so decided to cut it out completely.
I added a table spoon of coconut flour and 1/2 teaspoon of black cumin aka nigella seeds.
I loved it.

Here is the link about black cumin.

Looks very interesting...I've never considered a flourless pizza crust. :) With the cauliflower, I wonder if it would be okay to steam for 8/9 mins first and then put in the processor (like you would for cauliflower or broccoli soup)? I don't like microwaving vegetables.

I think it should be fine. I would not keep it too for 9 minutes though.
Try and please let us know.6-7 could be enoughIMO.

Cool. I will try it out next week, probably Tuesday when I have more fresh vegs around! Thanks. :)

Oh, this looks wonderful - I am going to try it this weekend! Thanks for sharing.

I have never been a "bread" person but always needed a vehicle for my sauces, spreads, pizzas, etc. Cauliflower is so versatile, I hope everyone tries it. My guy actually prefers cauliflower pizza crust to regular and my father last week actually ate Fried Cauliflower Rice last weekend at my house without knowing it - he hates cauliflower and thought it was regular white rice. He still doesn't know.

I would like to share a few cauliflower recipes on your thread:

*To "dry" out the riced cauliflower, I spread it out on a parchment lined baking sheet and bake at 350 for about 25 minutes. (otherwise the riced cauliflower is a bit too wet to make pitas and crust, IMO) Also, you don't need a microwave or a messy cheesecloth doing it this way.

*For pizza, I don't like tomato sauce so I use a white bean puree, pesto or just put veggies and EVOO

*For the pitas/tortillas, I put miso and guacamole. Or I add cinnamon and vanilla to the tortilla mix and then make a pseudo pancake for breakfast. (Can also make it savory by adding herbs and dipping in hummus or white bean puree)

**Thanks for sharing, Nathalie - I am always looking for cauliflower recipes!**

@Gobias Thanks for sharing this above:)

I prefer my own tomato sauce freshly cooked with oignon, garlic and vegetable stock. I love basil and oregano on my pizza crust.

Gobias Have you tried cauliflower pop corn?

Lol this above has cracked me...
I am planning to no longer disclose ingredients of my homemade food to friends and family:rolleyes::p:p
Your secret is safe!:D

Can you all share your recipes, please?
Cauliflower popcorn
Cauliflower brownies
Tomato sauce.

I never liked tomato sauce because it tastes so sugary (even when I loved loved loved sugary items). I was in Italy years ago and had THE best pizza ever because of the tomato sauce - it tasted like tomatoes!

I don't tell people either of ingredients. In fact we are setting up a potluck at work today and everyone loves my stuff...except if they knew the ingredients. Bizarre.

Here is the cauliflower popcorn recipe. I have not tried it yet. Will report here.

Tomato sauce: I do slightly stir fry chopped fresh tomatoes. You need a non-stick sauce pan for this and turn the stove heat low.
You can use a can of chopped tomatoes. When it gets slightly fried, you add garlic, dry oregano, oignon and water. Then add vegetable stock.
Depending on the type of vegetable stock you use, you will need to ensure it melt and mix with the sauce properly, Then leave to simmer
for 20-25 minutes depending on tomato portion and how consistent you want the sauce to be. The longer you leave to simmer, thicker the
sauce gets. This way my sauce is not sugary. It has an afro-carribean savoury flavor.;):)

Ps--- I do not add salt cause vegetable stock usually contain sodium. Feel free to add more if you wish to.
