Cathe, When you say beginner/intermediate, do you mean...

Hi, Cathe,
I love that you are so professional and poised and tough all at the same time. (AND a good writer, too!) :) Thanks for videos!
I'm trying to decide what to pre-order. When you say beginner/int., do you mean beginner/int AT STEPPING or do you mean beginner/intermediate exerciser (as in truly just now starting to exercise-fresh off the couch) :) OR on the other hand, would you say these will be "one or two notches down" from killer. As you are practicing these, do they get your heart rate up at all?
Thanks again for being my coach! I've been a gymnastics coach for many years- you seem like you might have been a gymnast at one time?? Just a guess!
Amy

Thanks for asking this question. I would like to know if it will be possible with DVD# 2 to modify UP for the cardio sections? And what is the main difference between DVD 2 and 3? Is it mainly the intensity or is there a lot of instruction that would frustrate someone who is more advanced?

I think with DVD #1 I could UP the weights and get a good workout, even if I am not a beginner. Is this true?

Thanks!:)

Sorry to be a pest, but I was wondering if this question could be answered before the pre-sale is over.... thank you:)

I'd like to tack a question onto this question (if I may? :) ) -- I've been wondering if the new DVDs will have any pre-mixes (Cardio only, weights only, etc.) or if it will have a workout blender.

Hi Amy! Thank you, you are so kind. Yes, actually I was a gymnast for 9 years, but that was years ago ;-)

When I say beginner, I am meaning this to be a beginner to stepping. I wish I could tell you more but what one interprets as beginner another may find to be too hard or too easy. What I can share is that the beginner workout is all low impact but someone who is familiar with my tapes could easily make this higher impact (ie: step touch corner to corner could be step hop corner to corner, a basic step could be a run up on count one and two and step down count three and four, a horseshoe/turnstep could be a power version of this move). The intermediate step workout will have some power moves included (ie: hop turn, over the top laterally) and the choreography will be slightly more complex. This workout will also include weight segments between the step combo's.

Oh and yes, we have broken a sweat in rehearsals, a bigger sweat with the intermediate workout :)

Hi All! I wish I could go into greater detail regarding your questions but we have discovered that going into too much detail before the product is released is not always the best thing as far as helping you with your purchasing decisions. So I feel it is best to point out that if you are truly undecided about whether or not to order, you are better off waiting until the product has been released. This way you will not be disappointed over ordering something that was not exactly what you were looking for. I hope this helps :)

Thank you so much, Cathe! That helps a lot. I pre-ordered all 3 and I'm hoping my daughter and I can enjoy the easier ones together. I'm an "exercise evangelist" as well, ALWAYS telling people about video workouts. Of the people I talk to, many are intimidated by the difficulty level, so I hope you will find a whole new market of people who will enjoy your expert coaching on a level that they can manage. Maybe they will enjoy the video so much that they will challenge themselves to work up to some of the harder workouts. :) All the best to you!

Thanks Cathe -- We're such information junkies here when it comes to anything you're about to produce :) . Nice to hear a bit more about the new DVDs -- thanks! I plan to pre-order on Friday (payday) and am happy that gels well with the pre-order line.

Glad to hear that you're breaking a sweat too! (Somehow there's satisfaction in knowing that it's working you too ;-)
