Cathe Products in the UK

Hello,

About to start a journey... To lose a lot of weight and get fit.

Have done a bit of research as wanted a non-celebrity DVD. Came across Cathe. My question is, are her products available in the UK? Step etc., additional products?

Thanks in advance.

Cathe's product in uk

Hi,

You are in a good place! I live in UK and have been working out cathe for six years now. I started rosemary conley, did Nathalie cassidy dvd, davina, kettleworx.... Did not enjoy them as much!

Cathe's product are not available for sale in uk, I am afraid. You can get few dvd from amazon or Ebay. I managed to purchase cathe's high step online from a company Exercise Equipment, Gym & Fitness Equipment - Physical Company .The best place to get them from is her own website. If you browse up this page click on daily deals and trust me you can pretty much get anything you want. cathe's collection is big and there is something for everyone. I suggest you start beginner/intermediate workout before embarking any advance program. Cathe's workout are notoriously known for being the toughest, fun challenging ones.

I started working out cathe after a weight loss...Could not find any resistance training I could do at home. I did not want to join the gym cause I was not sure I was going to commit to it. That has been the best decision I have ever made for myself. Please feel welcome in here, there is so many cathletes here to help.

I wish you the very best,

Welcome! I don't live in the UK, but want you to know that all of Cathe's workouts are available as downloads, so you can have then instantly wherever you are. As for the equipment, Nathalie would know much better than me.

Good luck!

Just wanted to caution you about purchasing Cathe workouts on eBay.....there are a lot of bootlegs on eBay. :mad:I would stick to Amazon or Cathe.com and I agree with Trixoo....
Downloads are fantastic!:D
I use my downloads more than my dvds.

Good luck!

Hello,

Not sure how to reply individually - thanks for all your advice. I want to lose 100lbs. Do you know if anyone who has done this? I am hoping doing the low impact will be the way??

Being new to this I would be grateful of any more advice!

Thanks

Weight loss campaign

Hi time2change,

It seems like your user name reflect your current feelings.

if you think it is time to change go for it----it is not going to be easy but you have to be strong. Nearly 100 lbs is almost what I have lost! just 12 pounds away. You can do it.

Low impact is a good starting point. I remember when I started at my heaviest I worn a knee support I bought from Boots. I did not wear it for long though, just eights weeks I reckon. Do not let that slight knee discomfort put you off working out. Your knee won't hurt if you start with low impact. I did not have that when I started so enjoy it.

You will read on this forum about "eating clean" To cut short it means no junk/processed foods, including no processed sauces:eek::rolleyes:

Some of us do track our daily food. I must admit this was an open eye for me ;-). Make the weight loss process a journey, an enjoyable one. I learnt so many things in the process especially about nutrition.

As for equipment the best site to get them from are Gorilla Sports UK - Professional Gym Equipment for Everyone amazon.co.uk argos Exercise Equipment, Gym & Fitness Equipment - Physical Company.

I advise you get cathe's dvd from the website. I did not purchase any from else where. Do not forget about the "Daily deal"

As I previously wrote, all the best.
Do not hesitate to ask question.
kind regards,

Hello Nathalie,

Thanks for taking the time to respond to me, it is great to have advice and support. I was doing Paleo eating before becoming ill on holiday last year and it all went down hill. But it was good. I lost nearly two stone! The only thing I may keep this time is a small amount of cheese for calcium as milk and I do not agree on matters anyway :)

My body does not like wheat either. I was interested to read that interval training is good for insulin resistance too (I have PCOS) so hope against hope that this time I will get to a reasonable weight and happy. I will check the links you sent me for the equipment too.

Thanks again,

T2C : )

TC2,

I would post in the "Ask Cathe" forum for advice where to start for a workout rotation. You will find her to be so caring and helpful. She recently switched to a modified Paleo.

My advice as far as diet....don't cut calories drastically. Your body will rebel, hold on to fat, and you could cause metabolic damage. 2. keep your food interesting! Search the internet for tasty recipes. You don't want to feel as though you are dieting. Your diet should be something you can maintain the rest of your life, not just for weight loss. 3. Try to measure your progress with a tape measure or a favorite pair of pants you want to fit into. The scale is a liar!!!
4. Don't focus on what you have to give up, focus on what you gain by choosing this lifestyle.;):)

So true---Calories consumption should not be below BMR bearing the TDEE in mind ;)
