Cathe Live - can this be used with an older TV?

I posted this in the Cathe Live forum, but did not get an answer. Do you need an HD TV to view Cathe Live videos via an iPad 2? The tutorials do not really go into that. It's all about Chromecast or Apple TV, which I do not have.

A TV with HDMI is strongly recommended, but it may be possible to play Cathe Live videos using an Ipad 2 on an older analog TV. Your best bet is to contact Apple to see what converters and/or cables you will need. In theory you should be able to do this, but we've only tested on HD Tv's and can't say for sure. Make sure you contact Apple directly and not a re-seller to purchase the cables you will need. Apple cables are not cheap so don't be shocked by the price.
