Cathe, Just how clean is clean?

You previously responded to my ab/core frequency question & said, "The cleaner your food choices..." To me, eating clean means whole grains, fresh produce, grilled meats, eggs, etc. No processed foods, sugar & nothing white (white rice/flour/bread), etc. This is what I strive for, although not always successful. Is this correct?

Also, how do you determine the calories you should take in daily? I'm a 52-yr grandma who works on computers at home (8-hrs/day). I do the usual daily household chores, plus the occasional scrubing. ["occasional" being the key word here.) I'm 5'7" w/very small frame. I weigh 156 with most of the weight in my waist/tummy area, yet my legs & arms are very thin. [I'm embarrased to say my waist is 35".] I've begun doing your cardio workouts for 45-60 mins/day, plus 30-45 mins/day is reserved for weight training.

As a cancer survivor, I just want to be healthy, toned & fit. I have all your DVD's except the Hardcore Extreme series & the newest one's being released this month, which I've pre-ordered. Have to admit, most are to advanced for me now but my goal is to be able to workout with you through them all at some point in the future. I'm definitely hook, just wish I had found you sooner.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge, talent & skills with the rest of us.
