Ever since I started doing some kickboxing, I have had numbness, but no pain whatsoever in my left knee, at the front. I have always run 4-5 miles per run or done step. This is the first time I've had something feel weird. Have you any clue?

I guess I should ask a doc but, I'd have an allergy to them (I'm an RN:p ).

Hi Marla! You are the third nurse this week that has said something very similar to me. How funny!

Well nurse Marla ;-), you probably know everything I could possbily suggest so I have to say that I think its time to come to terms with your allergies :7

A safe suggestion at this point in time is to cut back on kickboxing to once a week. When doing kickboxing, be FULLY warmed up, kick lower and less aggressively, and stretch thoroughly after your workout (you may even want to ice your knees after your workout). Be sure that you are not going into full extention (or lock out) on your kicks and punches too. If you still experience numbing sensations after this, I hate to say it, but its probably time to visit the doc.

Take care and keep me posted!
