Hi Cathe,
Hope everything's going well with your pregnancy! I am sure you look just great so I hope you feel great too.

I keep a workout log, and like to count how many times I do cardio (try to get 4-5), and work each body part per week (trying for 2 times per week), so that when I like results I can consult my workout log and make a note of what worked. For example, I count #cardio, #upper body, #lower body and #abs workouts per week. I've recently bought the Circuit Max DVD (love it!) and have been counting Circuit Max as one cardio, plus one upper body, plus one lower body - a great time-saver. But recently I read a post where you said it is considered mostly a cardio workout. Do you think I should continue to count the weight sections as anything or just call it cardio? I know this is kinda picky but it's been bugging me!

thanks :)
Candice

Hi Candice - I am not Cathe but I may be able to help you based on what I do. I love Circuit training too and have other circuit tapes as well, - I recently purchased Circuit max -just been able to watch it - been sick - but I classify all my circuit workouts as a cardio and then usually as a light weight workout because usually the weight work is designed to keep the heart rate up - not build muscle - and ligher weights are used - but you are still working the muscles - especially in Circuit max - so I would count it as both.

Hi Candice! You can count Circuit Max as a cardio workout for sure. Then depending on how good of shape you are in, the weight training portions of the tape would be considered an upper and lower body strength workout (for the less fit) and an upper and lower body endurance workout(for the more fit).
