There are several videos I would love to try from Christi and Mindy, however they are not available on DVD. Because of Cathe I went out and bought a DVD player and now will only buy DVD workouts x( (as a rule anyway)!!! Does anyone know if Christi, Mindy, or any of the other good advanced instructors out there plan to release their workouts on DVD :-hmmm

I just know the minute I break down and buy a video, it will be released on DVD, and then I'll be forced to get the DVD. Anyone else have this problem???

CIA has plans...

Dawn, CIA is suppossed to put out some next fall with their next batch. I think there might also be a best of DVD in the plans from them as well. As far as who might be on it :-hmmm, not a clue.

IMHO, you may miss a bunch of good workouts if you wait for everyone to go DVD. It's fairly expensive and you have to sell enough to make it profitable. If you like people like Mindy and Christi...I say it's probably safe to get their workouts on VHS for now and just keep an eye on the rumblings of future DVD plans, you can always trade or sell off the VHS once they get put on DVD...if they do;-).

I'm afraid I don't know who Christi and Mindy are - do they produce strength tapes? Are they available through Collage or a web site?

Christi Taylor and Mindy Mylrea are both available through Collage and G and R Video.

I do have a Mindy tape that I got through a VF swap, but don't have any of Christi's tapes YET. I'd love to try her Hi-Lo Heaven because I've heard the cheography is fun, but not too diffecult compared to some of her tapes, but again she doesn't offer them on DVD.

Nancy, I'm sure I'll break down and get Hi-Lo Heaven before the end of this month or so. The DH just made a comment the last time the UPS man showed up about how much I've been "mail-ordering". Good thing I make more money then he does ;-) or he'd probably cut me off.

Loved your comment on getting cut off...you tell 'em;-)! Me..I'm in trouble hehehe...I just got a new medicine ball, I'm waiting anyday for my Reebok Coreboard..which I just got the videos for the other day...and besides Cathes preorder...I have 5 other videos on preorder...YIKES:-wow

The true test to a marriage is how long our husbands put up with our video addiction..and all the toys that come along with it! Hey, did you see that new funky step in the new strength video!!!LOL

I find "inspiration" :) everywhere!!!! The airport, the grocery store....EVERYWHERE. It's easy to resist that donut.

I've been pretty good about not getting new equipement, it's just that along with the pre-order I got Cardio Hits, and the 2 pack. Not to mention Jenifer Kries new DVDs. Plus a couple of videos I found for $4.99 each.

Although I DO hear the Ivanko Aerobic Bar calling my name. SHHHHH if your quite enough I'm sure you'll hear it. Did you???? I know I just NEEEEED to have it for Power Hour.

Let me know what you think about the core board. I'm going to resist that one for a while. I;ll wait for a big selection of videos to be available for it first. :)

It's pretty expensive. I'm waiting to see if it has "Staying power" like the step. The step has been around for a long time and continues to be popular. I want to make sure the Core Board will continue to be popular. I hate to get an expensive piece of equipment that I suddenly can't get videos for anymore. Plus I'll wait for the cost to come down, hopefully.

Nancy, tell us more about the core board. Are the videos from Reebok too? Reebok's claim of invention is a bit of a stretch since they've been used in physical therapy for years. They are great for strengthening knees.

Thanks for the recommendation on the Tamilee Webb stretching videos. The 30 minute one is more doable during the week than Cole's & different. I'm trying to use the 10 minute routines right after I do cardio but usually end up watching tv while I stretch (which means I don't hold as long or do as much). Anyhow, once again you've been a good/bad influence on me! My video library has grown a bit thanks to you.

I don't know about cutting edge..more like fitness fool who gets suckered in;-). This one was a tough purchase too..a little pricey and it took several.."But Honey"'s to convince you know who of the need;-). The videos mulitply like bunnies in the dark of night...but big equipment has to be explained;-).hehehe

I actually ordered the three videos first and was sold in seconds...but I'm easy..you should know that by now! Loved the production..major visual stimulation. The workouts are very hip and cool..and the whole concept is wonderful..very athletic too...I like that;-).

There are quite a few posts at VF about the Coreboard. If you search for coreboards over there..you should come up with some good info. One of the girls has already received hers..I'm still waiting:-( but she gave a good discription of the workout..and of course, you'll see my 2 cents.

Love those stretch tapes too..just wish I could motivate myself to do them more..that's a wink link for me:-(..hey, but Scott's got new ones coming out sometime this year:7...that might help;-).

Be sure to let us know what you think once you do get it. I'm not as brave as you are at trying new stuff. I just don't have much of a sense of adventure - I guess I lost it after purchasing one of those Liferiders about 8? years ago ;-) , but I'd love to hear more about the Core Board. I've seen some of the info at VF, but I trust the posts at this site more since I know everyone here has to have at least somewhat similar taste, being Cathe fans and all.
