Cathe diet and nursing/exercise

Cathe,
I am a nursing mom and am exercising 4-5 days/week. I just finished your New High step video, and it kicked my !$%#! I am sore today from head to toe!! ;)
Anyway, when you were nursing your little one, what type of diet did you follow? What diet do you follow now? You are so lean, I was wondering if you eat any carbs!
I have lost 28 of the 50 I put on, but it is coming off slowly, even though I am exercising at a great level. I thought you may have some diet ideas, or some samples of a day in the life of a Cathe meal.

Thanks,

I am not Cathe, but sheck out what she did to lose weight after baby #2. Here's the url-http://www.cathe.com/2002_After_Baby2.htm

She has some good advice for losing those last 10 pounds or so.

Hope this helps,

I am not Cathe but nursed my DH for 12 months (stopped early because I was pregnant and didn't want my uterus contracting) and then nursed my DH for 17 months.

I had to avoid a lot of veggies because they gave my babies HORRIBLE gas. They screamed in pain if I ate brussell sprouts, brocolli, that type of stuff.

I kept a food journal to make sure I had enough calories to nurse, you don't want a huge restriction right now. After 4-6 months, they start nursing a lot less because they are eating the soft foods from time to time...that helps! I say just keep it clean and pay close attention to how your baby acts after feedings!

Remember, you have to feed yourself to feed your baby!

WOW, you look great! I wish I could look that good.
I exercise and eat good, but my body type I think just wont do what I want it to do. I will keep on plugging at it though...
I just cant seem to give up my pasta and rice !!!
I am happy just getting to a size 8 and staying there...
At least I am healthy...
Thanks ;)

ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In his dreams!!!!!LOL!!!!!!

Edited to say: Nursed my DAUGHTER for 12 months and nursed my SON for...ever!

Thanks for the compliment. I know it took a long time for me to get the scale to budge. I remember working really hard, then stepping on the scale to see it had not moved even a little! I was so upset and started to think DH (husband ;-) ) did something to scale to play a trick on me! Since pranks are not his style, I had to be more patient and keep working hard! By the time my boy was 6 months old, I was 15 pounds LESS than prepregnancy weight and I owe it all to strength training! Here were key things for me:

1. Strength Train 3-4 times a week (I did total body endurance w/o's)
2. Cardio 4-6 times a week (I made up my own aerobic routines at the time)
3. Stopped eating sugar (at least until I lost the weight...treats came later)
4. Kept a food journal of EVERYTHING I ate.
