RE: Thank You!!!

Heather,

I always wanted to be an early morning exerciser, I still have trouble getting up that early, but I think you have inspired me to really try this again. Your posts are always so warm and sincere. If you can get up at 4am and exercise BEFORE you go to work, why in the world can I not get up at 4am to exercise when I am a stay at home mom!!! Thank you Heather for sharing your progress with us. I have about 70 pounds I want to lose. Are you able to lift heavy weights early in the morning without eating first? :) :)

Morning Workouts

Melissa, great job with the morning workout!

Kelly, the vacation weight will depart soon. Just get back on track with your workouts and clean eating. Your body will thank you.

Luvmylabs, there is something special about working out in the stillness of the early morning. It is very refreshing. Try it, and you will see what I am talking about. Yes, I usually enjoy my morning workout before eating a bite of anything. Most of the time, I have no desire for food until 7:00 a.m. Every now and then, I will eat a clementine or a few bites of a banana first. I cannot exercise on an empty stomach in the afternoon. When I was doing live classes at the club after work, I had to eat a power snack an hour before class to avoid nausea and feelings of weakness. My body is wired for morning workouts. I can handle a gentle workout later in the day. I can do intense workouts after work only if I fuel my body with energy bars first. The problem is that I eat as many calories as I burn when I do that. Yes, I can lift heavier in the morning too. I eat right after my workout.

Blessings,
Heather B.

RE: Morning Workouts

Heather-

Your results speak for themselves!!!

I find it interesting that you do better with workout in the early morning. Technically I workout during "my" early morning....around 4pm. I work nights, so when I workout before going to work, I do better. I find that my body doesn't do as well during the workouts unless I wait until late afternoon, even on my days off.

I think that it's interesting that we are all "wired" differently!! Heck, I even weigh less in the late afternoon than the morning!
