did anyone watch tonight? i am completely engrossed in this show, but it is so dark and bizarre! every episode gets weirder! Freaky!!!!
what was Iris burning though? i couldn't figure it out....

I don't know what Iris was burning. I thought it might have been the clothes she wore when she burned down the old church? They're closing in on her so maybe it was some evidence of her crime.

What confused me was Ben's grandmother. Errr what most confused me was his grandfather--who was it? I got the impression since she killed her brothers & father that it was one of them.......his story just gets more & more bizarre..........

The cousins told ben as he was leacing that the crone(grandma) killed her husband and the other guys the day HS was born. and then she scratched her eyes out and they found her sitting on the floor in the kitchen singing. ????????

Yes, that's exactly what I'm talking about. I think one or all of them did something really terrible to her, & what could be worse than your dad or brother getting you pregnant? I figured she took it out on all of them b/c either they all raped her, or one of them did while the rest of them stood by & watched.

Of course this is all speculation. The show is so strange it could be anything.

maybe.....on hbo's site there is a discussion board on this show. i started reading the posts last night, butthey are hard to follow, so i am going to have to start at the beginning i think....
