From People.com:

"Singer Carnie Wilson and her husband, musician Rob Bonfiglio, welcomed their first child, a baby girl, born Friday in Los Angeles.

The arrival, weighing 7 lbs. 2 oz., has been named Lola Sophia and has brown hair and blue eyes, Entertainment Tonight reports."

After her gastric bypass surgery, I wonder how she was able to eat enough to sustain a healthy pregnancy? Doesn't it reduce the stomach to the size of a thumb?

That's a very good question, Peachy. Maybe she had to literally graze on food all day long, to get all the calories in?

Cheers,
Sandra

I know someone who has a friend who is pg right now and conceived shortly after having the gastric bypass surgery done....The surgery was still very new when she conceived. The baby lived off her fat stores that she had from being so large. As far as a woman who has lost all of the weight, I'm sure it's still safe to get pregnant. A woman's body is an amazing thing and I'll bet the baby gets what it needs!:+

Wendy, that's very interesting! What a lot for her to go through with the adjustment after surgery AND pregnancy at the same time. I guess that "eat six small meals a day" advice applies in either case.
