I had my daughter three months ago and I am anxious to get back to pre-pregnancy weight. Are there any thoughts out there in regards to the fastest way to shed fat/pounds--cardio or weight training? I've heard that it's best to blast the fat/weight with cardio first then add weights after the weight comes off. I am breastfeeding and following the WW nursing mothers program (for the most part-I do have occasional slip-ups :) and I'm only losing about a pound a week. I have 16 pounds to go to pre-pregnancy weight. Right now I am doing both cardio/weights. Any thougts/experience on the subject?

I did cardio/weights postpartum . I believe both are equally important. I did do some intense cardio though, such as the imax 2 and 3 blasts only premix. I also did alot of circuit workouts alternated with workouts of shorter, intense cardio+ weight workouts. I lost all my pregnancy weight with both my pregnancies through exercise and nursing, no dieting.

I started both after having my son but remember you aren't going to get anywhere unless you are eating clean.I nursed him for 7 monthes (just gave it up 3 weeks ago) and b/c I was having a hard time eating clean, I signed up for Ww's online. I was given alot of points b/c I was nursing, and I was never hungry.
I used the GS workouts alot after having my son. I also ran, did step and kickboxing. After my 6 week check up, I started back with higher intensity and longer durations. I had all of my baby weight gone in 4 monthes PP...but I started back at 4 weeks PP with light jogging, light everything actually:+ Good luck!

I'm going through this as well. My DD is 4 1/2 months old. I'm getting back to running now (3 days a week - 30 min) and weight training (2 days a week - 50 min). I'm trying to find time to increase my cardio a bit (and hopeing the weather will start to cooperate so I can take Madelynn for walks after work). I think the cardio might help move things along a bit. Since I started WW for nursing mom's the scale has started to move again - one pound a week. I have 24 pounds to go to get to pre-pregnancy but I'll keep working at it until I get there.

Anyway, good luck to you and congratulations on your little one.
