Okay so I FINALLY caved and gave CC another chance...

I took advantage of the Breast Cancer Walk donation deal that Coach Sean is/was running and got 4, 5, and 6 in exchange for a donation to a particular walker he is supporting. I figured even if I STILL wasn't fond of the work outs, the money would not go to waste since every penny was donated to the walk. :)

So I did #4 this morning for the first time and really enjoyed it.

I'm a little unsure of the "zones" as of yet but I guess I'll figure it out as time goes on. I feel I got a good work out regardless though so isn't that TRULY all that matters? ;)

I thought I saw your name scroll on the Breast Cancer Walk website! I considered making a donation, but I already have all the CC workouts -- downloads and CD's -- and I've also donated lots of money to that organization, so I passed on it this time around. It looks like Brianna is very close to her goal, though, so YEA!!!!!!

I love them all, but I admit to a certain bias. I really detest cardio and CC were the first workouts that made me not hate it quite so much :p .

If you want some shorter workouts, then I'd invest in Vols. 1 through 3. Vol.4 is one of my all-time favorites. Volumes 5 through 7 are longer -- in the 50 to 60 minute range.

I do them on an elliptical. If you're doing them on a treadmill, then you might like Vol.7 which was designed with runners in mind.

He has pretty good audio clips and descriptions of the workouts on his site which will be helpful in making your decision.

Well, I used this and now my Cardio Coach collection is almost complete. :7 Just need to get Press Play.

Can somebody tell me (other than the donation to the Choose Living foundation) what the advantage is to getting Press Play? Isn't it just a collection of chapters from the other CDs? I'll likely get it anyway, but wondering if there's more.

I think you'll be very happy with your choices. I love Vols. 2 and 4. Vol.3 is great, too, but I haven't done that one recently so I can't quite remember what the challenges are. The 3rd challenge in Vol.2 is probably my favorite of all the CC workouts!

Yes, Press Play uses challenges and steady state segments from his collection of workouts, but he used the most popular challenges so it has a huge fun factor, and it's one tough workout! But IMO, the #1 reason this workout is so popular and worth getting is because the motivational level is off the charts!

The workout is peppered throughout with commentary by Jim MacClaren; a true survivor, a hero, and motivational speaker. He's not preachy or anything like that, but he's thought provoking and he really puts things into perspective. I'd highly recommend it!
 
The FIRST challenge is 15 minutes long and is brand new! I love that challenge! Whewie, and when you get done with that, you ONLY have 4 more to go! LOL! Hmmm, now that I think about it, the 1st. challenge MIGHT be in one of his newer releases which I haven't tried YET???)

Debbie! You haven't tried V7 yet!? I'm stunned! LOL!!!

Yes, that first challenge is killer, and it's from V7, which wasn't released until after PP. I can't wait for volume 8! It's supposed to be released in June. :D

I know! What is WRONG with me! Ha! Actually, I was having trouble being able to hook my iPod up to our computer and I THINK I can do it now...it kept shutting everything down! Grrrr! I just haven't had a chance to try again but as soon as number 7 is on my iPod, I will give it a whirl! :7

I did the donation thing and got Volumes 2, 3 and 4...YAY!!

I even got a nice little email from Coach Sean!

Now I just have to find a way to download them on DD's nano without her noticing...}(
 
Every CC is my favorite for a different reason.

4 is my favorite for music and for being my Goldilocks workout. Not too short nor too long. Not as easy as the preceeding ones and not as tough as the succeeding ones.

The previous voulmes as I later discovered are very versatile so they need not be easy. They can be a short and killer interval cardio add on after weight training.
