cardio coach question

Cathlete
For those of you who use cardio coach - if I could get only one volume, which one would you recommend and why? TIA

Lorrie

bump. I'm sorry to bump my own thread, but I know you cardio coach people are out there. Hello - hello??

Lorrie

Sorry Lorrie! I have had problems logging into this site for weeks now. Emailing tech support has not helped much either. Anyway, today it says I am logged in...

I love Cardio Coach! It is hard to say which one I would get if I could only pick one. Sort of like Cathe dvd's:D I believe the CC Vol 2 is a free download, so don't buy that. I would go with either 4 or 5. It is a toss up for those in my opinion. I want to say that there is a price special going on where you can get a deal on two....you might look at that combination thing.

Have fun choosing!

number 3 is the one I reach for most often.I really just like the way it's laid out.my second choice would be 5-for those hill climbs.

Lorrie, I like them all, but from Volume 1 to Volume 5 they get progressively longer, more challenging and (IMHO) more interesting. You can't go wrong with any of them, but I'd vote for Volume 4 or Volume 5. Both have great music and good aerobic/anaerobic challenges. DebbieH and I were chatting about this the other day -- we have both been big Volume 4 fans for a while now, but we're recently gotten hooked on Volume 5.

One of my favorite non-Cathe non-impact cardio workouts now is to use my elliptical trainer to do Volume 5 all the way to the end of the last challenge, move straight into the 2nd challenge of Volume 4, continue into the steady state after that and then do the 3rd challenge of Volume 4, and finally go back to Volume 5 for a cool-down and stretch. It clocks in at about 70 minutes or almost exactly 10,000 strides. :)

Hope you'll enjoy Cardio Coach as much as I do!

I've looked at the site, how do you get a free download, or is it free with a purchase. I'd love to try it to check it out.
Thanks for any help.

>Bumping to find out about the free download.
>Anyone know anything about that???

>Thanks!:)

I'm not 100% sure, but I think it's expired.

I have them all. I have tracked calories burned & mileage done with each. While Vol 5 is longer than Vol 4, I have found that minute to minute comparison, Vol 4 burns more calories faster than Vol 5.

To give you an exact break down of what I'm talking about...

Vol 4 is something like 45.5 minutes long. Doing all the challenges at my perceived levels of exersion I burned 214 calories.

At the 45 minute mark in Vol 5 I only burned 160 calories using the same speeds, exersion levels & tension settings. In my opinion, that is HUGE.

I can't work out for an hour + most days, so if I'm going to reach for a workout that I can cut short but get MAX caloric burn in minimal time, I'm going to reach for Vol 4.

Others may or may not have had similar experiences. That being said, the workouts are all very different from each other but my all time fav is Vol 4. You can't go wrong with whatever your choice.

They are a audio workout (CD not A DVD). You can buy a CD or buy a download for a MP3(cheaper). I got the MP3 download and was able to copy it with my cd burner on to a CD. So, I've been useing the burned CD. I also, bought a CD off of the yaya swap. The only advantage of the bought CD, is the case has some information on it, but nothing you can't get off of the website. So, I think the MP3 packages are the best deal.

They are not a Ifit hook up to your treadmill thing.

>I went with the 3 package deal of vols. 3,4, and 5. Thanks

Good choice!

Some people seem to find Volume 4 more challenging than volume 5, because the rests are shorter.

I like to use these on my rebounder, doing sprints on the rebounder, then sometimes doing 'hill climbs" on the tall box.

I've been doing these once a week for about 4 weeks, for my interval workout. I really like them!
