Cardio Coach Press Play - Sat. June 30th

LORIE!!! I'm shouting too! I love Grace SOOOOOOOOOO much and the cost of this CCPP scared me.....but it goes to a good cause AND YOU JUST NEED ONE more workout. Just ONE MORE and then you'll be done. I'm going to buy it RIGHT NOW....See you in the check out line!

Gayle

Yes, Lorie, it IS for a good cause. Part of the money is donated to the Choose Living Foundation (I think that's what it's called)!

OK! I'm just waiting on the link to download it now. All purchased and paid for! LOL

NOW....anything I need to know or learn about with all the different 'zones' or anything? This is my first CC workout. What have I gotten myself into??? lol

Gayle

Gayle - it'll be a breeze for you. I had no trouble at all figuring out what Coach Sean meant by the different levels my first time doing it. And the hour will pass in a flash.:)

Gayle, it's all by perceived exertion. On the CC website, there is a page that defines, in great detail, how you should feel in each of the "zones", so you know you're working at the right levels. Don't be nervous - you'll do great! :D CC is SO MUCH FUN!

Wow, this is so exciting to have everyone doing this workout tomorrow. I'll probably get cracking around 10 am MST. I hope everyone has a great workout tomorrow. Today is my rest day so I am going to try to save up lots of energy for tomorrow.

Karin

Karin, I'm so glad you're joining us:) . How are you doing since your surgery? By all means, rest and save your energy for tomorrow!

Kathy, c'mon...join us!! You know you want to;) :7

>>Kathy IS joining us! See her post way up there ^^^!

YEA!! There's been so much activity in this thread that I totally missed it. :7

No, not yet. Trying to resist you all. Also, I REALLY like how Grace tells you the speed AND incline. How would you do that with CC if it's just perceived exertion? Given the option, I am always going to choose speed over incline because I hate the inclines (especially when Grace makes you run them!). So, give me a little more information since it looks like I am going to cave (although I haven't yet!!!).

Well, he doesn't give you a choice between speed and incline. He tells you if it's a hill or a sprint (or both!). And believe me, you KNOW when you're working at a level 3 or a level 4. He tells you how that should feel. It's hard to explain but it really is just as good as the way Grace does it. I love both.

NOW GO CAVE!

Lorie... I am going to try my darndest to push you over the edge. :p ;) The different "challenges" that are in CC workouts are going to specify whether you are doing a hillclimb (adjust your incline) or a sprint (adjust your speed). An example of a challenge might be:

We are going to do 5, 1-minute, level 3 hillclimbs, with 30 seconds of recovery in between.

So you would maintain your steady-state (level 2) speed, while increasing your incline (or resistance, depending on what kind of cardio machine you're on) until you reach a level 3. Make sense?

You don't get to choose speed over incline - he tells you which variable you're going to play with for each challenge. :) And he will make you breathless! }(

Hey Debbie!

I wish I would have seen your post earlier. I did PP this morning too since I'm cycling with DH tomorrow. I was bummed I couldn't join everbody tomorrow. Today was my first time doing PP and WOW! What a workout. I LOVED it. Tomorrow's plan was DH would ride an hour with me and then I would keep going for another hour. We'll see if my legs have 2 hours in them after today!

Lori - You've GOTTA get on the Cardio Coach wagon. They are AWESOME workouts!

You all have a great time tomorrow. I'll be thinking of you!
