Candy paradise!

My niece came to visit for her Excellent New York City Adventure. I promised the kids they could each come and visit me and, for one day, could go anywhere and do anything they want in NYC. She was dying to go to this place called Dylan's Candy Bar. I had never heard of it, but it was amazing!! A kid's paradise and my DH loved it too. If you have kids of any age and live near (or visit) one of the locations, you've got to check it out: http://www.dylanscandybar.com/team.html

I think there is one in Texas and one in Florida, and one in Long Island in addition to the one in the city.

Nancy, how could you?! There's one right down the street from where I work in Orlando.

I'm not going, damn it, I'm not.

Well, I could take my Mom and granddaughter there for Mom's birthday :}

I could see taking people there on vacation, and then standing there stoically and ruining all their fun by not buying or eating anything. That's my style! MwahHaHaaaa!

Candi,
It was my niece's day, and I had no choice! :D I had to suffer. :+
If you go for your Mom and your granddaughter, then it doesn't count as being bad!

WAH-WAH! I WANNA GO TOO! NO SUCH THING ROUND WHERE I LIVE IN NEW HAMPSHIRE - RECENT TRANSPLANT FROM LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA . . .

Thanks so much for sharing Nancy.

It's in the mall, I guess I could just drop them off and go shopping. Yeah, right!

I know, I'll just wear duck tape over my mouth. Yeah, that'll work!

Just teasing. I'm always looking for something new to do with the girls. This would be fun.

You'll laugh. We were visiting friends in south Florida a few weeks ago and somehow Good N' Plenty came up in the conversation. I actually remembered the little jingle they used to play on the commercial. Remember, Choo Choo Charley?

Candi-
Yes, I remember Choo Choo Charlie, and you can see the commercial, and all the other old candy commercials, at Dylan's. That was my DH's favorite part!

We actually didn't eat much candy. My DH was fascinated by the old commercials, my niece was busy trying to decide which T-shirt to buy (there were so many!) and I was trying on the Junior Mint Body Lotion and all the other body products!

I think I've heard of the place before- owned by Ralph Lauren's daughter Dylan or something like that. I'd love to go, but if I did, I don't think I could resist temptation. Like the saying goes, I'd really be "like a kid in a candy store."

If I am brave enough, I will take the kids I babysit there someday, so thanks for the info!

Gina-
You're right. I just googlized Dylan Lauren, and she is Ralph's daughter. She definitely got the design gene.
