Ugh, I need relief. I started with premenopause 'symptom's' about a year ago and every couple/few months I will have a bout of breast tenderness that will last for a couple of weeks. Having one of those weeks now but it's really discomforting this time. I'm taking ibuprof. and that helps but I need to take 3 to get relief and I don't want to be doing this for two weeks straight. And I'm sleeping with a heating pad at night which also helps. But of course once I get up and gravity becomes a factor the pain is right back. And it's far worse in one breast than the other because I have fibroids in one and apparently chemical changes bother those. I'm also trying to stay off caffeine...no chocolates for the last week and only herbal teas. ( I drink alot of hot tea so I'm missing my Earl Grey)

Does anyone else experience this same problem and what works for you to find comfort. I'll also mention this is strictly a premeno. symptom...I have my mammo. yearly and have discussed this same issue with my doctor so please, no need to recommend I see a doctor.

My Gyn recomended Primrose oil. It comes it capsule form with vitamin E. Gnc puts out one for pms. It works pretty well. I have to start to take it mid cycle for it to work. I definitly feel the difference. The tenderness isn't completely gone but I can at least bend at the waist and not wince with pain.

Good luck,
Elaine

hi there,

I started having pre-menopause breast tenderness (no, take that back, SORENESS!!) almost a year ago and I started using a natural progesterone cream.
On my webpage, I have a section titled "Hormone Balance" that has some good info and also a link to Dr. John Lee's website as well.

I can only speak for myself, but the Phytoprolief has helped me SOOOOOOOOOO much, I will never be with out it! :)

I have the same symptoms too, however, they usually last about a week. I wear a good tight bra during this time. Usually a good compression workout bra does the trick for me. One that fastens in the back so I dont have to pull it down over my breasts, which is quite painful! I have even known women that took their showers with one on. I dont take a shower with mine, but I do sleep in it. I cant stand the thought of anything rubbing up against my breasts during this time.

I find that reducing movement is the most beneficial. My breasts are not large, about an A cup. But I can certainly understand your pain because I go through similar symptoms each month.

Ugh, is that what this is?? I've had such painful breasts for about 3 weeks now. And I'm definitely premenopausal, never can tell when my TOTM will be these days. I didn't know breast tenderness was something I could add on to night sweats, waking several times at night, irritablity, etc. How exciting for us! Well anyway I do agree with the Evening Primrose Oil, I found when I stopped using it my symptoms got worse. It can't hurt to try it.
