Can someone please explain this???

Okay, let me start by saying I've lost about 12 lbs since November. All of my pants are pretty much falling off me. I don't have to undo any of them anymore when I need to take them off or put them on and belts are very important:p Except one pair. This one pair of black, cuffed pants I have fit the exact same no matter how much I weigh. They fit the same now as they did when I was 12 lbs heavier.

What is with these pants? Are they magic pants that just adjust themselves to my size, whatever that happens to be? I don't get it!!

I have certain stretch pants that fit like that. Say "thank you" to your magic pants because you can keep them! Now, why are you keeping the pants that have gotten too big? When you lose weight you should get rid of the stuff that doesn't fit thereby not giving yourself leeway to gain weight. Don't even say to yourself, "I always gain weight back so I'll keep these big pants."

Does the tag in the magic pants also show a smaller size number when you lose weight??? If so, I want a pair of those pants! :p

I don't have an answer on the magical pants for ya Shelley.

I just wanted to say CONGRATS on the weight loss!:)

LOL. I dunno but I'm noticing one of my larger size pants fit me snugger than the smaller size ones? confusing. I have a wierd size range since some sizes are WAY different than others but look the same?
My exercise stretch pants still fit me also but they were a tad snug 10 lbs ago and now fit comfortably. I think will be a teeny bit loose when I'm down 10 more. they seem to conform a bit to my shape.
Buy some new clothes! Even if one pair for inbetween sizes. I finally threw a bunch in the goodwill bin. it felt great!

I envy you your weight loss, Ms. Shelley. Great job!

As for those pants... well, I must have a pair or two myself. I don't weigh very often, but I do use the tape measure. The last time I measured, it said I was smaller. But guess what? My jeans and a pair of khakis told me there was no change at all.

I don't understand it either.

Maybe it's somehow related to the Mystery of One Disappearing Sock in the Wash . . . .

Seriously, though, Shelley, kudos on the weight loss! That is just FANTASTIC!!!:)

Miss Shelley is one lean, mean running machine.:7 Our top melter.;)

I have a pair of True Religion jeans that fit the same no matter what too! I hate it! I can tell a difference in the way all of my other jeans fit, they start getting loose in the hips, and then the legs, but not these babies.
They did get washed in hot water one time, and did shrink in the length, that I know for sure, but that was like a year ago, and you wear them and stretch them back out right? I have lost bodyfat and all my other jeans are looser, not these ones--so I totally understand your dilemma. I say toss the bastard pants!}(

OK - I don't check the "melter" check-in, that's why I'm not in the loop. I know Miss Shell's been bitchin' for a long time about her weight, so I was pleasantly surprised to read about her weight loss.

Well, they're not stretchy pants, they're dress pants that I wear to work. So I don't think that's it. And no, the size label doesn't change:p

As for my weight loss, I really have no idea how I did it. I've sort of been trying but honestly haven't been very good about it. I've been doing more cardio and less heavy weights, so maybe that's it?

Heavy weights never worked for me - IMO ya gotta burn calories, and the best way to do that is intense cardio. I would blow up like a balloon if I did only 3 days of cardio instead of 5.
