Can my pets get pink eye from me??

I just found out I have pink eye! Gross!

My coworker had it last week-- his wife works at a daycare center and brought it home to both of them!

Now I have it!

I'm wondering... do you think my dogs and cats can get it from me? I know it's highly contagious, but I'm not sure if animals get it.

Does anyone know the answer to this?

I don't think you should worry about it. I've never seen a case of conjunctivitis in a pet that I thought was caught from the owner.

Thankfully there aren't a slew of things that we can get from our pets or vice versa.

So, go hug on your dog with your red eyes and don't worry about it
