Hi all,
I received an email today about a campaign for the awareness of homeless animals and overcrowded shelters. You can donate a special book in honor of a special animal to an animal shelter for free-really lol! That probably doesn't make much sense, but if you are interested, please visit http://www.everynineseconds.org/
Wait- here's some copy & pasted info...
"In 2004, 3 to 4 million lost and unwanted dogs and cat were euthanized in American animal shelters, a rate of one animal every nine seconds.
The Every Nine Seconds Campaign aims to save lives and reduce that number in 2005. We are donating copies of our award-winning book, One at a Time: A Week in an American Animal Shelter, to 1,000 animal shelters to help them educate their communities and create change for these innocent animals.
One at a Time tells the true stories of 75 dogs and cats who passed through a typical U.S. animal shelter during 7 days that we witnessed and documented. Each animal in One at a Time has an important lesson to teach about why he was there, how it could have been prevented, and what everyone can do to help end this tragedy.
Please join us... "adopt" a shelter in honor of an animal who touched your life. We will donate a copy of One at a Time to your local shelter in your name, in honor of that animal. Click the link above to learn more."
Thank you for reading!
