Calories Burned per Week

How many calories do you guys try to burn per week exercising. 1500?

I know it probably depends on ones goals. How about to lose weight?
 
I'm no expert...but I think I recall reading that 1 pound equals 3500 calories. Whether you do it by reducing your calorie intake or exercising more, my understanding is that you have to creat a 3500 calorie defecit to lose 1 pound. Experts out there, correct me if I'm wrong.

In my workouts, I don't aim for a certain number of calories - it would get too confusing to me, and I think it's also very hard to correctly estimate how many calories you burned. I just aim for a certain number of workouts per week, try to eat well and keep my fingers crossed that it works! :)

that's my grand total for cathe workouts each weekday and my cycling!

i download the info from my HRM onto my computer and it's all on a nice little calendar!

i don't have a calorie goal for each day/week.. just depends on which workouts i do and how hard/fast i cycle!

yes... 3500 calories burned equals 1 pound of fat...
 
WOW, desertbriez, your calories are amazing!!!

I just got a HRM for Christmas and have been calculating calories burned just since then. I averaged anywhere from 1,800-3,500 a week so far. I exercise 5-6 days a week about 40-75 mins. each time.

Wow, I don't count at all. I watch what I eat, I work out hard, & I check out the scale pretty much every day, but I never try to count how many calories I've burned.
 
the majority of my calories come from my cycling! if i only counted my cathe workouts then i would have the same average.. .depending on which of her workouts i chose! (i also eat the majority of the calories i burn which is why i don't seem to get rid of the last 1-2 pounds i want to lose! lol!)
