calories and insanity

for those doing insanity, did you increase your cals at all even if you are trying to lose weight since its such a high intensity workout.
 
I'm not really counting, but I am careful of my food intake since I'm going to the beach in one week. Nomally I cut my starches way back to get lean for my swimsuit. I decided not to do that for my Insanity rotation because I've read you shouldn't do low carb with high intensity cardio. I could lose muscle.
I've been eating 5x's a day (drinking one shake first thing in the morning).
Typical day for me.

AM protein shake
Fage yogurt/strawberries
Chicken sandwich/ bowl of fresh cherries
slice of oat bread/one TBSP peanut butter
Broccoli/green salad/ chicken breast
 
I haven't increased my calories, and I've lost about 2 lbs. Some of the loss could be attributed to vacation (ate less often and mostly salads), or to an increased activity level in my daily activities, i.e. painting, moving furniture, walking 50 miles a day in Vegas :) ! But I'm definitely seeing more definition in my abs and other parts.
