Hey ladies! I am looking forward to running a 5K in May and improving on my time of 35 minutes. Can you guys recommend some CC tracks that I can put together to help improve my speed and endurance? I have all of the CC volumes except 8 and PP. Thanks so much in advance for your help. PS. I understand there may be several different varities of what I can do so many suggestions are welcome. :)

My absolute favorite track, is track 4. For some reason for me, it is so motivating. I started with 2, and it just didn't do much for me...I live in the cold Midwest, so it really takes a lot to get my groove on, when running on the treadmill :)

Hi Jen. I like even number CC best. 2, 4, 6, 8. You can easily mix them up for longer workouts...but from CC 4 and beyond you'll be running over a 3 mile run during a session....which is what you want to do for a 5K race train.

For mixing them up, sometimes I will do CC2 warm up, CC2 challenge 1 -3, then CC4 challenge 2 or CC6 challenge 1, then CC1 cool down. This is just an example. With MP3 players is easy to just switch between challenges. You have so many different workouts...at the finger of your tips!

Once it's nice outside (maybe it already is over by you)...you'll want to run outside to get the feel of the wind, nature's climates and such. If your super serious...you can practice the actual run route...I did this for many years.

Good luck!
