Cabs n Abs soon to be X'ers...Hump Day

Hi Girls.

Well as for the X, I want to do a couple more weeks of endurance work before switching over so I wouldn't start the X any earlier then 21st but I'll also wait another week or so beyond that if that's what is preferred. I'm strongly considering doing a modified version of the X+ instead of the original. I think it will lend itself better to my race training but we'll see....:)

So today's work out plan went out the window. My lovely DH screwed me all up so now instead of running on the tm for an hour with Grace or Sean and then taking the Centergy class at the gym, I am going to be heading out on my long training rain of 13 miles after I drop DS off at school. I'm annoyed about it right now but if I get it done today, I'll be thankful when the weekend rolls around....:)

Laura: My dog as been eating Pedigree dog food since he was born. He's very sensitive too but doesn't seem to have a problem with it. How do the legs feel this morning??? :eek:

Ang: OMG I am in trouble when I start doing pull ups again! It's been a LOOONG time. I am gonna be soooo sore at first! OUCHEES! LOL Yeah, my schedule is a bit tight until I go to pick up DS that's for sure. Once he's home I can relax a bit but then it's time for housework, etc so I can't relax TOO much! :p How are you feeling today? Better I hope!!!

Di: If I can swing it I'd like to work only part time until DS (and any future little ones IF we have more) is old enough to come home after school and stay by himself as I'd like to avoid aftercare. Right now it's not such a big deal but when he gets older and has more homework, etc I'd rather he come home and do it with me there right after school rather then HOPE he does it in aftercare OR have to wait until after dinner to do it or something. Time will tell.... If your BC instructor borrowed the X for ideas then you are IN TROUBLE! LOL :p

Well, gotta go get DS and start gettin' him rollin'. What's nice is that I don't have to worry about ME today since I'm not workin'...:)

Morning Ladies ..

Surprises today .. I am NOT sore!!:eek: I thought I would not be able to move today!! So far .. nothing .. just a little tightness in the hamstrings and calves!! :D although it may be DELAYED DOMS :confused: they may hit tommorrow!!

Last night I get to class .. OMG .. the hottest day we have had in some time now and the freaking air was torn up .. :mad: ... it was so HOT in there .. the humidity is so high right now you could cut the air w/a knife!! My class was packed .. and they wanted to do "something" .. so I did a bit of the 4 step w/o the plyos .. and some upper body shaping .. but 30 minutes into it everyone was sweating buckets and it felt like there was no oxygen in the room .. so I had to quit!! :mad: .. I went home and took my babies for a short walk (I am scared of snakes .. they are running now) .. so did not get the cardio in I wanted to .. oh well!!

Wendy .. 15 mile run today .. YIKES woman!! You go girl!!! :D I cant imagine running 15 miles .. probably the most I have run is 10 and I was totally spent .. as in lay on the floor and not move for the rest of the day spent!! LOL

Di .. as hard as your BC class is .. if she is getting ideas from the X .. watch out .. she will probably combine what she is already doing w/some of Tony's specialized torture!!! :confused: So getting to go see the twins next month .. aaawwwww .. I know you are so excited!! Take some pics (as if you weren't.. lol) Bet they have grown!!

Ang .. hope today finds you feeling better!! I woke up w/a cough today..probalby from the 150 % room temp workout I did!! Hoping it is just sinus drainage .. something is blooming that is killing all of us allergy sufferers now!!

Ok .. meeting SIL for our first X workout .. that is IF the air is working .. if not we wont start today .. we will do triple set bis and tris in the gym!! No class tonight ..going home and take the babies for a walk/run and then have some online shopping that I have got to do!! ;)

Just reporting back .. P90X - shoulders and arms done :eek: .. OH MY I forgot how awesome Tony was ... it hurt so good!!

My upper body is officially FRIED!!! :confused:

the air was fixed - they said it was a breaker .. OK . . whatever .. just work tommorrow for goodness sakes!! LOL (I may not be able to move the upper body tommorrow)
 
Hi ladies,

I need to be starting my workouts earlier in the morning. I was up, but started late and only had time for 4DS CST. My legs are still sore from Monday's heavy wts leg torture. My back is a bit sore from heavy barbell rows, and yes-pullups too. I try to throw in a few sets of pullups on the assist machine when I'm at the rec ctr. I remember the presenter at the RT saying that women over 40 should do 2 back exercises for every chest exercise.

OMG, Zach is so sick, I think he has food poisoning. He's not running a fever or having chills or body aches. I hope he starts feeling better soon.

Wendy-Hope the weather is on your side for your long run this morning. I usually run a slow steady pace for the longer runs. I would love to work part time, I just don't see that happening probably ever.

Laura-What a nightmare with the overheated aerobics room. Maybe you should call ahead and have them turn on the air. They obviously know when your classes are and should have the air on prior to that. I saw the Gustav pics you sent. Good luck with the X today.

Angie-How are you feeling today? Are you planning on doing a w/o today?

Laura: Sorry about the heatwave in last night's class. I agree with Diana. I think you just need to call them before hand and remind the numbskulls to turn on the A/C for you!:rolleyes: If you have DOMS in your arms tmrw from Tony then you will know how I feel today. OMG, I didn't notice it until I started running. Holding your arms in "running stance" for over 2 hours is NOT a good thing for biceps that were just worked the day before! Talk about SORE!!!!:eek: LOL

Diana: Yes, I remember the woman saying that as well about the chest vs back exercises. Good for you for doing it. Sorry Zach is so sick. Stomach issues are the worst. I think I'd rather have the flu!:eek: I hope he feels better right quick!!!

Ang: How are you feeling today girly? Better I hope!!! Camping again this weekend? :D

Well my 13 miles is in the bag and man was it tough! My 11 miler a couple weeks ago felt really good the entire time but today I was draggin' by mile 8! :eek: Oh well. It's different every day. The first day of school when I worked out right after my shift at work for the first time, going 2 miles on the TM was a struggle. It happens. I'm not sweatin' it. Just glad the long run is behind me. :)

Okay, GTG for now but I'll be back folks!
 
G'day peeps

DH got up at his usual 4:30 this morning but forgot to turn off his alarm, which then woke me up. So, I was up at 5am sipping coffee.:rolleyes: Thankfully I was able to tolerate the coffee. I actually even ate lunch and am feeling way better today. I'm grumpy (probably from getting up so darned early) but feeling pretty strong. I could probably handle a workout today but I don't think I'd better risk it. I have to take Magz in tomorrow for shots and have some errands to run as well that can't be skipped. Not to mention the pile of laundry to tackle and stuff to put away. This place is a mess! I can't believe DH or the boys can't handle emptying the dishwasher or even putting their dishes in the sink, especially when they know I can't do it. You'd think they would try to help out so that it doesn't just pile up while I'm down and out.....but NO, it just piles up until I can get to it. Ahhhhhhhh - makes me want to pull my hair out!!:eek:

Laura - You don't mess around do you? When you say you're gonna do something, you do it.....NOW! *lol* So, Tony's bringing on the pain huh? I'll join you on Monday. I just want to make sure I get thru this week and then I'm game.;)
Snakes? There's a specific time when they're on the move down there? Yikes!! God how I hate snakes. I don't mind them when I know they are there, but that's hardly ever the case and they just scare the begezus outta me.:eek:

Diana - You're gonna have to track down that BC instructor pronto! Do you think you can get it back by Monday?
You sooooo deserve a trip to see the girls. How long will you be staying?
I rarely get sick either. That's why when DH got sick this weekend I wasn't too concerned. Thankfully though, it was very short lived.
Sorry to hear Zach is not feeling well. Sending healing vibes his way.
Hope the WW will help out with the eats. You're not alone in that struggle.

I may have to sub some X+ workouts in there as well since I have only done them once each. I had almost forgotten about them.
Yup - we're camping again this weekend. They boys have new air soft guns and safety glasses, so they will probably be off shooting each other all weekend.:rolleyes: Is it bad that I don't care??:p Cody's bringing a friend and the other couple has their 2 boys and a girl camping this weekend too, so the boys are sure to have a blast. BF and I plan on doing some shopping and a whole lotta nothin'! We're not even packing very much food b/c we plan on eating out for dinner. Works for me!! This will likely be our last camping excursion this year. I'm getting burned out on it and we still need to get this house project off the ground if it's not too late already.

Ut oh - I feel my energy leaving. Yup, I think the w/o is gonna be a no-go today. I'll see what tomorrow brings and go from there. I'll take what I have left in me today to finish the laundry. Boy, a nap sure does sound good, but I'd better just grab a cup o' joe or I won't be able to sleep tonight.

Ang ... NO WORKOUT!! That is an order .. the weakness sweats and lack of appetite all add up to you need to REST and regain your energy!! I didn't realize how much I missed Tony's insane but laid back attitude and workouts .. it was fun today! Have a feeling I will be complaining tommorrow .. already feeling a bit sore in my shoulders .. b/c he does a million reps all different ways .. GEESH!!!

re: snakes .. ya .. this time of year they start moving trying to find somewhere to go .. they are all over the roads .. and I try my darndest to runover the venomous varments .. if someone had a video of me screaching over them .. backing up doing it again .. and forward .. and back .. LOL .. you get the picture! But we live in the woods ..have to be very careful w/my babies .. we have a pond and a creek on our land .. the snakes hang out a lot around water during the heat of the summer .. then start trying to find somewhere to retreat once the weather turns cold! I almost got bit by a cottonmouth last year .. :confused: .. that would NOT have been good!!

Di .. hope Zack gets better .. seems the bugs are running rampant everywhere huh?

Wendy .. WTG on the run ... I know what you mean about the sore arms .. sometimes you dont think you are sore until you do a jarring movement like running or jacks .. and then it hits ya ... :confused:

Ok girlies .. I am outta here .. about to go take my babies on a walk/run... then might give them a ride on the golf cart and relax w/a CAB .. I deserve it after Tony's torture and the impending run/walk .. :eek:
